I really enjoy shopping at HEB. What I mainly like is the nice selection of fruits and vegetables, grass fed and organic meats, and organic dairy products. Hidden along the aisles of HEB is a very wide variety of organic and all natural products. The fruit and vegetable section is expansive, has nice wide aisles, and has a very wide variety of fresh, beautiful produce. I like the meat market, as you can find grass fed beef, organic products and lamb. The meat is excellent. The shopping experience at HEB is pleasant. The workers in HEB are cheerful and helpful. HEB does a good job in hiring people as they are all very helpful. WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED: It is very hard to get in and out of the HEB parking lot. No good places where there is a traffic light to make it easy to get in or out from the busy streets. The parking lot is hard to navigate and crowded. Many parts of it are sloped, making it hard to get your groceries out of the cart and into the car without the cart running off. I liked the previous layout of the "Central Market" area of the store better. Initially it was a wide aisle that made it friendly and inviting to go down, looking for the various healthy products in the bins. Now the ailse has been narrowed, and it is much harder to find what you want, and you constantly feel like you are in others shoppers "space" as you all are looking for what you want. I wish HEB would expand the central market aisle, offer even more organic and health food options, and get rid of some of the silly parts of the store. I do not need to buy notebook paper, office supplies or junk like that at a grocery store. Get rid of the non-grocery nonsense, and add more natural and organic products. BOTTOM LINE: I love shopping at HEB.

I live on the outskirts of town and am disabled. I know I am a little over weight yes but before I started to gain this weight due to my medication and thyroid reaction I had a stroke that took away most of the use of my leg. So I use the electric chairs to get around when I am in the store my recent trips their has been a hispanic girl named Angel or something along that line with long hair and glasses who looks to be 16 maybe 18 who is always talking about FAT WOMEN with a floor manager Brian in ear shot. Thats just the icing on the cake from what I have heard come out of few of the mouths of the young employees. I find this offensive enough and have limited my shopping inside of HEB. Because I live on the outskirts of town and have always been a loyal shopper of HEB since before I can remember, I planned on doing some shopping today so I called the store to inquire about a toy for my great granddaughters birthday and a IAN told me he could not go check but would transfer my call over. I waited on hold the phone rang and rang then sounded like someone picked up and put me back on hold to ring again this happened 3 times before I was HUNG up on completely. I called back 4 more times and the same man answered every time I tried to speak he acted as if he could not hear me and hung up. Apparently HEB doesnt want my service. IF they wanted a loyal customer to stay a loyal customer then theyd screen their employees a little better. I used to love this store and in the last few years its gotten worst then shopping at Wal-Mart! Albertsons is a further drive for me and costs a little more but Id rather be around people whom dont make the customers feel like they are being made fun of and ignored.

HEB is overall the best grocery store in San Angelo. The produce is quite fresh and the displays are well stocked and maintained. The premium quality meats are as good as you can find anywhere else in town, and they have a good selection of value priced meat all the time. I particularly like the coupons throughout the store that give me an excuse to try new or different foods. The chef by the meat counter is always helpful with good food and cooking ideas. The store does get very crowded during peak hours, so I wish HEB had built new stores like Wal Mart has done. Instead of shopping elsewhere, I try to shop either early mornings or late evenings to avoid the crowds.

Despite significant competition from several new Walmart neighborhood market and even a remodeled Market street, HEB remains the best grocery store in San Angelo. They have the widest selection of goods, everything is organized logically, and if you cant find something, there are friendly associates everywhere ready to help. There are always plenty of registers open and the prices are great. Of particular note, HEB has consistently had the best produce in town for ten years and Ive checked everywhere.

Theres Nothing Like " My HEB " and thats Very True. Always save between $30 & $50 at Checkout from many Yellow Dollar off Coupons depending on My total Purchase. Wal-Mart Never has any such Coupons. HEB store associates are Always there on isles to Help Customers especially those Handicapped. Wal-Mart Associates are Never to be found and if They are, They seem to give the impression that You are bothering them. Will NEVER GO BACK TO ANY WAL-MART. NEVER ! ! !

Great store...but, the Manager stopped me after I put my groceries in reusable bags by the register accusing me of shoplifting a couple weeks ago. Went through my bags by the door. Ive been going there since it opened. Very embarrassing and he was jerk about it. Was a Hispanic man with glasses and short black hair, sort of skinny. That dude ruined my perception of the people that work there. Too bad...i love their sushi.

Wouldnt say best overall grocery store in town. I agree HEB has the best produce and deli, but the store is ALWAYS a zoo (regardless of day of the week or time of day). Their parking lot must double as a defensive driving course, and inside the store the aisles are equally packed with customers, carts, displays, and employees who are constantly re-stocking. If shopping there was easier, we would go more frequently.

Love love love this HEB. They have pretty much everything you could ask for in stock, they have an employee at every corner waiting to help, and the store is always friendly and clean. One thing to keep in mind though is that the pharmacy is extremely busy due to their awesome customer service. If youre trying to get a script filled quickly be prepared to wait the full wait time.

With this HEB in town, I dont know why you would go anywhere else. The prices are great, and the staff are extremely friendly. My only wish is that the building was bigger so the isles didnt feel as cramped. HEB is always busy. If you want to avoid crowds, then I would go late at night / early in the morning.

Cause Ive bought lots of these Briskets before and they have always been great.
