Arrived around 7:30pm and was told there was a 10 minute wait due to a big table. We finally get our table an my side is still wet from being cleaned. Asked for napkins, luckily my phone is waterproof since i set it down in the water. The waiter got my drink wrong, my daughters side wrong she had french fries instead of fried apples. My order of roast beef looked like a childs portion compared to my husbands plate of the same thing. Told the waiter an he got the manager. I told him the same thing. He brought me more roast beef. Then after our meal was done an I was packing it up, the manager came by. He asked how the meal was, I said great thank you. He then went on an acussed me of cussing at the waiter. I never cussed at the waiter. He was eavesdropping on us from the kitchen where our table was located. I may of dropped the f bomb as he put it when i was privately talking to my husband about the child sized portion of 10.99 roast beef i ordered. Makes me never want to return.

Stopped here with my dad after a Christmas visit. The place was crowded but Ive been at more crowded Cracker Barrels and got good service and hot food. This one managed to give me slow service and cold food. Cold over easy eggs, grits and hash browns, sat for a long time with empty coffee cups while the guy who had the table across from us filled their coffee twice and ignored us. Only the biscuits were warm, and they only brought two butters for four people with five biscuits. The people at the table next to us sat there waiting forever as well. I would have sent it back to the kitchen but I had to get on the road and had waited long enough for cold food. McDonalds would have been a better choice that morning. If it isnt crowded its probably OK, but if crowded I would pass it by, they dont have the right staff to handle crowds.

Our waiter Stacie was amazing, but really the buck stops there. The food was okay. The only dish that was good was the Sunday homemade chicken. Luckily for us it was big enough to feed all of us. The other dish was small and dry. When we left a waitress was gossiping with the manager about our sons sandals. When confronted she said it was about another child who was playing in the restaurant. Even if either situation was true, NEVER TALK ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS! Amy the manager obviously needed to protect her staff but I hope she will take this opportunity to properly train staff on etiquette. There was no reassurance that she would speak to the waitress. Maybe this is just the culture at this location. I would venture there at your own risk! I know my family and I will no longer be going to a place that believes in such a culture.

My experience at this Cracker Barrel was absolutely horrible. When the waitress took our order it took over 30 minutes to receive it, and when we got our order my dad had not received what he had ordered. He had ordered the chicken fried stake and asked if her could have the sides in bowls so that they wouldnt be touching. When we had gotten our order everything was right, but my dads food. The waitress had gave him the Chicken Fried Chicken and his sides were not in bowls as asked. And when we had asked for biscuits, the waitress had given us the biscuits just minutes before the food even came out. When we went up to cash register, we had asked the woman behind the desk to take off the Chicken Fried Chicken because we didnt order it. The woman just blew us off and made us pay for the thing we didnt even order.

I have always loved the Cracker Barrel, it has always been a staple during the old family roadtrips from my childhood. When I discovered my wife had never been, I hastened to correct it. I took my wife and son to breakfast and (as usual) the food was excellent, the service was prompt as well. My 5 star for this location comes from the management and cashier team. We went to check out and I realized that I had brought my deactivated Debit card and forgotten the new one at home. We were fretting what to do and I decided to call someone to go to my home and pick up the card. The manager overheard me and interrupted to let me know that he had taken care of the meal and not to worry. I was so relieved and thankful for him avoiding a scene and acting in the manner he did. A+ for the team at the 59 Cracker Barrel!!

Second time to the Kingwood location. March of 2012 and April of 2013. Both times our experience was about the same. Food was fair, service was AWFUL. Servers dont know what they do and dont have, and not because theyre out, they just dont know the menu. You have to ask for the same thing multiple times and even then you may not get it. They bring your bill before you are half finished with your meal; we had dinner last night and had to ask her to come back to get our dessert order after she had dropped off our bill. It was Wednesday evening and the place was s-l-o-w; no excuse for the lack of service. Our other experience was for lunch, with nothing better to say. The food is NOT worth the price and the service is a joke. The store is nice tho and has some great finds. Our family will not be back.

Table of eight ladies and our service was horrible. Only refills if we asked, wanted to charge me extra for Caesar salad in place of house salad, meat cooked to just under beef jerky, had a baked potatoe with my meal that never came...the mgr came over to tell us there was a mix up in the kitchen and would get us another side. She wasnt happy when I asked for the veg. soup in place of it. We were all finished eating and still never brought us cornbread....until I asked for it and a to-go box. We sat for another hour talking and visiting and never once did our waitress check on us, refill drinks, offer desert/coffee.... nothing. This is NOT our first time having bad service here. Not sure Ill ever go back. (Had REALLY, REALLY bad service at the one in Rogers, Arkansas too)

I was hungry for cornbread and soup this past Sunday evening so we asked the waiter if the cornbread was good and he really bragged about it being as good as his moms. But he never brought the cornbread muffins, we got our food after about 25 minutes which was hot and tasty but we didnt get any cornbread which was the whole reason for going. So we asked for them twice before the waiter finally remembered to bring it but by that time my soup was cold. Then we had to ask for refills on tea. It really irritated me to see the people at the next table get cornbread muffins even before their food got there which was before us and they came it 10 minutes after we did they just happened to get a better waiter than we did. We wont be dining at Cracker Barrel again anytime soon.
