Bought a brand new Toyota Highlander for my wife and kids on Memorial Day. Took it to car toys Irving the following Saturday to talk about having a DVD player installed for the kids. A manager named Kyle said he had just taken over the store that day or the day before. I thought great he should definitely be looking to make a great impression if he just started. The job was scheduled for Sunday the next day, and was supposed to take 3-4 hours. Dropped the car off at 10:30 a.m and didnt get it back till about 6:30 p.m. I actually would have been okay with that for a high quality job. We got the car back and my wife and I were pretty heartbroken. A plate was fabricated for our overhead DVD player to be mounted to, it was wrapped with a material that matched the interior of the car. The wrapping job was wrinkled and uneven and just homemade looking. A side air vent/light fixture was bent and wont sit flush anymore. The installer drilled a hole that is visible for a cable to run thru that I didnt know was going to happen.The weather stripping around the rear passenger door is streched out and not tucked back in properly and the car was left in a mess with shoe marks and finger prints all inside. Of course I complained, and Kyle the store manager says bring it back and we will take care of it. Wrap job was fixed by the install manager and now does look professional. Weather stripping around door has improved a lot but is not as it was. I told Kyle this over the phone and I could hear him deliberately sigh like I was being a huge burden to him. He told me they would order a new vent/light fixture and it would be a 2-3 week wait. As for the weather stripping his reply was " that stuff gets expensive ". It has been 3 weeks yesterday so I called today for a status update, once this morning and once again in the afternoon. Both times I was handed off to Kyle, and both times he took my number and said he would call me back shortly. I never received a call. I am afraid I am going to have the car fixed at my own expense at this point. I dont regret having the job done because my kids love it, but I deeply regret having the job done at the Irving location. I dont know what other options I would have had as far as having something like that installed professionally but I wish I would have done a little more research first. I cannot recommend anyone I know go there with things left the way they have been.

Well how do I start.. I would have givin then 0 stars but Google wont allow it, first of all I want to get an audio system installed on my car, and it took them a day and a half longer then expected, the issue was that when they reconnected the batter the radio locked up so they werent able to get the code, (Labor Day) so the dealership was closed, so when they told me about it they said they needed to keep it over night for a third day! So at first I agreed but then I realized you can get almost anything online these days so I went with my gut and tried to get the unlock code online and to my surprise it actually worked! So I told them about it and they said they would do but the installation guy "Julio" got pissed off because he had to remove the radio again after he just put it back it place, which to me makes so sense because he still would have had to do it the next day, but he did it anyway, so I get my car back and go home, when i get off the car I had to get something out of my back seat but when I did I accidentally slipped and when that happened I discovered that they had removed my back seat and Im doing so the messed up the clip holding it in place, I was then going to back and have them fix it but I dicided that I would wait because I was going bad the next day to get a "detailed" clean, so the next day I go (today 9/08/16) and told them about the issue and Julio said "I didnt remove any seat, so what seat are you talking about" so I proceed to tell him then he said "oh yeah I did remove it" so he then proceeded to "fix" the issue but it still comes off, so then they "detail" clean my car and what they main and only goal in fact was to clean the carpet which had not been touched at all! And I have pictures to prove it! But the best part about it is that I didnt have to pay for the detail at all. But in all honesty I would NEVER recommend this Car Toys to anyone!

Not the best but not the worst... I went in to get an amp and sub installed in my new vehicle. I told them I wasnt sure if I wanted an upgrade or just install the amp and sub I already owned. An installer came out to my car to see what I was working with. He was friendly and professional. Showed me a couple options but didnt pressure me into buying anything I didnt need. I stayed with what I had and they told me to "come in the next day" and they "dont do appointments so arrive early". I was irritated I couldnt get a guaranteed time to bring in my car, but it wasnt a big deal. Brought it in at 10am when they opened. The tech did not ask me if I had a preference of how I wanted it set up, so I had to take initiative and show him how I wanted my amp and sub mounted in my trunk. I wonder what they would have done if I didnt say anything. So I give them my key and they said they were busy so it would probably take all day, so expect a call after 5pm. They had it done by about 1pm so I was happy about that. They did a great job with the install, except for one issue.... I requested a grille to be put over my speaker as to protect it from loose items in my trunk. Well the grille was on but my speaker was hitting the grille when I had any decent bass playing. I then took my car home, took off the grille, bent it outward so the speaker wont hit it, put it back on, and now (although the grille is a bit mangled from my poor job of bending it out) my sub sounds amazing and Im happy with the install. It didnt go completely smooth but Im content with the end product.

I was given ok service when I arrived there but no one there other than Anthony really tried to help me. I spent $2400 there for a complete transformation of my trucks stereo system a week later I took my truck back because the sub amp stopped working.. I was told it a bad fuse so I spent more money to replace the fuse " they couldnt afford to throw me a new one after spending thousands there the prior week". That didnt fix the problem ....so it must be the fuse box " after I spent more money " they said.... I asked them if I buy the fuse box can they put it on real quick.... No we have to charge you another $50! Give me a break I said they said sry. I understand its a business but really ..I was just told it had a bad fuse then that was wrong " my money down the drain" and they didnt even have the decency to simply take two min to throw the new fuse box on that I baught right then. I will not return to there location ever highly let down
