Im a faithful Auto Zone customer since our local guy passed and his business closed. I travel ALOT and if I need anything on the road I go to auto zone. I do not go to the "other guys". At home I typically patronize the Rufe Snow location. I have found them to be very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Most go the extra mile and no its not bc Im a petite curvy blonde. My dads a bit of a grease monkey and wanted to make sure I didnt get taken advantage of so he made sure I know more than how to kick tires and top off fluids . Plus according to him my hands are smaller so I can reach tight spaces better or my favorite- bc youre small its easier for you to sit on the radiator and install the head gaskets. So when I ask questions theyre specific and I usually know the answer but Im looking for a sometimes creative alternative. However when I called this store (bc it popped up in a Google search) and asked a question about the electric seat in my truck his response was - call the dealer. I asked a few other questions regarding this issue and each time he told me to "call the dealer". And YES the dealer will be the expert as they built the truck but auto zone is an after market source for those of us who dont want to pay sometimes up to 300% dealer markup for the same part. He didnt even ask for my vehicle make model etc but simply told me they dont carry the part and, you got it - call the dealer. Id rather call 1-800-thislazyassdoesntgiveashitabouthisjob. Havent checked their website yet but Im pretty sure that since Ive found other online sources that they carry the part or could order it for me.

I called with questions before I went in. The employee answering the phone did answer my question but with little enthusiasm about his job. When I finally went in he was easily identifiable and I avoided asking him for help again. Moments after walking through the door another employee a bit further away burps very loudly and continues what he is doing. No "excuse me" or embarrassment or anything while there are other customers in the store. Another employee immediately greeted me and asked what he could help with so I asked if he could just look up my vehicle to know which particular product number Id need. He showed me over to them and we spoke for a minute and I said Id like to look around before making my selection of the different options. This seemed to annoy him. He then tried to oversell me another product to help with my first product which I said I would not need and thanked him. He huffed and walked away. I finally decide what I want and walk around the store a bit and have to say its not as clean as other stores Ive been in. Based on this experience I will most likely drive further to another store or switch chains if Autozone thinks this is acceptable behavior.
