Returned a car battery at this store today. The general manager Danny Urban was the one who process the return. When I handed him my receipt he rolled his eyes. I told him that I had purchased the battery yesterday from the Roanoke store while trying to help a friend. I explained that we ended up not needing it. Danny again rolled his eyes and said "Great bought it at the Roanoke store and returning it here at my store?" I was kind of shocked. I said "yes or is that a problem?" Danny smugly said "NOPE" as he shook his head in disgust. As,he slammed around getting my cash ready I again asked if it was a problem. He didnt answer. I asked "whats wrong with you?" Urban said "YES, its a problem, when you buy from there and return it here it hurts my sales!" I couldnt believe what I was hearing. I explained to Me. Urban that because they were a corporate chain I could buy and return at any store that was the most convenient for me, the customer. I then explained that I lived only four blocks from his store and then I was a regular customer and knew several of his other employees by first name. I told Mr. Urban that I would no longer purchase anything at his location. I told him that if I needed something from AutoZone I would go to the Roanoke store but that I might just stop shopping at AutoZone all together based on my experience with him. Mr. Urban did not apologize! He only replied "No, what you should do is buy from me then go there to do your returns, THAT is what you should do!" I walked out! DONT SHOP HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED RESPECTFULLY.

The guys here are very helpful and knowledgeable. We had been working on my car and ran into a problem and they were more than willing to help. They didnt make us feel stupid even though the fix was very easy! They saved me over $200 just by offering very simple advice. I couldnt expect better service or more friendly people at any place of business.

The guys that work here have always been so helpful. Im a hobbyist mechanic, if you can even call me that, and they always provide expert advice on my projects. They have saved me hundreds of dollars when I was trying to purchase something that wasnt necessary for my problem, so their honesty means Ill keep shopping there for all my auto needs.

Liked the older guys of the store, they were friendly and EXTREMELY helpful. Only reason they got a 4 star is due to a younger gentlemen trying to upsell everything to me and was very pushy. Dont recall his name unfortunately. Just stick to the older guys and it will be fine.

My battery was bad, and Im a college aged girl with not much vehicle knowledge. Tony helped me replace my battery, and my warranty was off by a couple days and he worked with me on it. Great customer service, I will definitely be returning to this particular AutoZone!

I ran into car trouble and these people helped me out tremendously. They let me park my car and trailer in their lot for an hour and then looked at it for me to help figure out what I needed to do. Sweet and kind people are what keep businesses like these running!

Been several times as it is close to home. Consistent slow service, lack of customer service and high prices. One particular time there was an employee that used foul language to talk to another employee across the store.

Very helpful! Needed a battery. They were cheaper than Pep-Boys and they even installed it. I was out of there in 10 minutes! Pep-boys was gonna make me wait an hour. Awesome store!
