First off, the place is very personal....if you are expecting a sci/fi,comic book store to be equal to the experience of going to Wal-mart or Target your kind of stupid...they greet you without hovering and making you feel uncomfortable..whenever i needed help they were there with every answer to every question..and they made good suggestions..when a true collector goes to this kind of store..they would agree the best part is the discovery, lose yourself in everything they have to offer..also in the world of collectibles you should expect to pay top dollar...the prices were actually cheap compared to other book stores i have been too...i even seen a couple of good silver age books in the 5-10 dollar range....wall to wall star wars merchandise..the stores appearance from the outside has character...it actually looks like a comic book store...i will be traveling from louisiana to shop at this store often now.

The selection at this store is truly the biggest draw. There are walls of vintage and current toys, dozens of bays of current and vintage comics, magazines, paperbacks, graphic novels, manga, and various odds and ends. The store also has gaming supplies, posters, trading cards, and the other usual ephemera associated with a store of this type. I knocked off a star because the prices are generally high, sometimes very high ($46 for a 70s Marvel Mag in rough shape!?), and I find it unreasonable to walk into a brick and mortar store and find comics and magazines at two or three times the price of a what a diligent Ebay search would field. Not a store for the bargain hunter. That said, I got out with some mags at a decent price and Id recommend this store to any comics fan, especially one with vintage taste.

This is a unique place. I wish I liked it more than I did. At the time of this posting and of my visits, there was a lot of construction in the area. This obviously isnt their fault but just a FYI. As nerdy places go, this is one that everyone should check out. The selection is unique. I say this having gone to almost every nerd place in Houston. Prices are fair. You wont find any great deals, but at the same time the prices are decent. I generally like this place.

Maybe I was slightly biased because I shop and price action figures from all over but I went in looking for Star Wars figures. The prices were astronomical. Specifically one Jabba figure thats currently in every toy store was priced at 52 dollars. It retails in every target/Wal-Mart/etc. For 39. Now, naturally yes if I wanted it I could go buy it there, but Id rather shop local and keep places like this open. I cant justify over a ten dollar price gouge though.

Ive been buying from 3rd Planet for over 20 years. The owner, TJ, is the most knowledgeable Comic Book Store owner in Houston. He wont BS you to make a sale - and wont low ball you to make a purchase. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly - when they can be - as the store is always busy. This is a store for the true collector - not someone looking for a toy for Timmys Birthday Party (Unless Timmy Collects). You cant go wrong!

Third Planet has good amount of comics (and toys); however, their customer service SUCKS!!!!! I was looking for a comic book and gave them my information. They said it would take a day or two and they would get back to me. They NEVER did! I was very disappointed and will not be going back to this place. Bedrock City Comic Co. is a better place to visit. They have great customer service.

Nice store with lots to look at, but man, those prices. Everything is overpriced. Everything. But thats really my only complaint that they could help. (Parking was atrocious, but thats not their fault.) Friendly staff who seemed to genuinely want to help. Lots of cool things to see and do. I would recommend to anyone whos out in the area and looking for some fun!

Awesome staff, great selection, you can catch some good deals when theyre having good a sale. Only downsides are that the location isnt the easiest to get to and parking is cramped. Great place to take people who are from out of town and great for Christmas/Birthday shopping. They carry mint condition older collectibles and toys as well as newer.

They followed us all around the store with lame excuses "fixing a toy right by where we were, organizing comics right next to us, walk behind us pretending to look at something" the staff was horrible made us feel super uncomfortable. We were going to buy Gundams but decided to leave since we couldnt look at them in peace.

I really like this comic book shop. I like their variety on toys plus their back issue comics collection is great. As far as prices go, they could be better but they arent too bad. It would be nice if they had special sale events more often. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive

Made my first visit to this shop yesterday and Ill definitely be returning soon. Prices arent too bad and they have a HUGE collection of just about everything. If youre a DC action figure collector this place is really worth checking out, theyve got some nice throwback figures here.

This location has so many action figures and Third Planet Sci-Fi Superstore books on display. My friends went crazy at this store and ended up getting a ton of Third Planet Sci-Fi Superstore books that they didnt have yet. The items here arent too pricey at all. Not too bad.

Last time I went I asked one of the clerks where the comics I was looking for were. He answered immediately so I was able to find what I was looking for. They also carried some of the older comics I was looking for unlike some other shops. Reasonably priced too.

Ive only ever had people here be rude to me.it feels like no one wants to be there and no one wants to help. I work in retail and I expect the same level of service I offer when Im the consumer.. Not to mention these guys are expensive. Go to Nans instead!

Store is nice and big, but it is mostly overpriced. Do not do special orders through them, they constantly lose your order info and they call you a liar when u enquire why your order is late or never arrived. Use Asgard Games or Skirmish Games instead.

Nice place. Was looking for board games and their collection is pretty small compared to nans comics or even Asgard which are nearby. For everything else though this place has probably got it. Also liked their retro star wars collection that they had.

If you want to go to a comic book store in houston this is the best comic book store to go to! They had great service, prices and a great collection! I would spend hours in that store! Way better than bedrock city!

Incredibly good service, and has a large amount of anything youd want! If they dont have it, they will order it for you, and they are well informed about upcoming xpmocs, and make excellent suggestions!
