I applied for toys r us excited to have a job working with kids and toys. I love kids and toys so what could possibly be bad about this job!? Well Ill tell you, the manager of the store is not afraid to publicly announce things he doesnt like about you. If you want a job here but have a tattoo you might as well not even apply. I have a flower tattoo on my wrist to cover up self harm scars from my past and said store manager asked me if I was in a gang and as I emphasized the fact that my tattoo is just a single flower he went on to ask if I was in a flower gang. Not funny. Very disrespectful and he was basically implying that anyone with a tattoo is assumed to be in a gang. I will NEVER be going back to Topeka toys r us and I will make sure people know how disrespectful the store manager is. Other than that, the staff is so friendly, the kids brighten my day, and its a wonderful place, it just is sad to see it managed by someone like him.

I was able to purchase most of the items that I needed for my newborn here on the Baby R Us side. We shopped for newborn items and toys. Our three year old loves building blocks. This Toys R Us has quite a selection of blocks to choose from. The store is well stocked and organized. We did not have to spend twenty minutes trying to figure out where everything was. The staff was also very helpful, we were able to get in and out quickly. The staff is alert as well, when the clerk in electronics saw we had a newborn waiting in a long line he came over and told us he could ring us up so we could be on our way. I definitely liked that! He was attentive and made sure we were able to find everything we were looking for when we explained we usually dont bring our one week old baby out to go shopping, but we had "must-have" needs that we couldnt find at Walmart.

The absolute worst experience Ive had with a store. Ive waited over 7 weeks for my nursery furniture. They cancelled our order twice and everytime weve called to ask about our furniture we get transferred mutliple times. They say our order has already been picked up and it hasnt. We live out of town and this is the closest store that we can get items like this.every time we go into the store theres multiple employees just standing at the customer service desk and if you ask for help, they act like they dont know what theyre supposed to do. $1,700 and 7 weeks wasted so far.

The front desk lady do not have a good customer service. All she knows is "i dont know" answer. Didnt even think to refer me to someone like the manager or someone in charge of the department that i need. So disappointed! I have been to many babies r us stores and this is the worst.

You can find the items your looking for but at a high price. I dont mind paying more if the employees are making a good wage. If the high prices are due to greed for the uppers and share holders then I dont agree with this. They do price match and they keep there word.

I had to return an item that had been damaged. The employees were very nice and helpful. They exchanged it for a new one without any hassle even though it was complicated. Ill definitely shop here from now on.
