0 STARS just to be clear. I just had the most horrible experience with a New Nintendo 3DS XL purchase. So I made an online purchase, called ToysRUs customer service to see if I could have them hold my order till I was in town to pick it up. The operator with ToysRUs said that I would need to contact the store directly. So I did, called talked to somebody and they told me oh its no problem we hold that stuff all the time. It wasnt a problem. So I was like "great, then when I come in I will pick it up." Well today, with no warning my order is canceled. It wasnt like I hadnt paid for the item. The payment has already been withdrawn from my account. Prior to that I figured I had a backup if I wasnt able to pick up later that the deadline I could I would have one of my family member pick it up for me, but I did not do this since they told me it was not going to be a problem. So I called and they basically their 800 customer service told me there was nothing they could do, but if the store still had the item they could honor the sale price. So I called the store, spoke with the manager and he told me that they did not have my item any longer, they only had a red one. Which is weird because I just got the cancellation email at 12:02PM and the item sold by 12:38PM. Doesnt sound right. Plus, the Manager then proceeds to tell me he will only hold it for me thru the close of business, so again Im not in town so I send my Uncle. My Uncle then arrives and is told he needs to pay for the item I already paid for. Apparently they refunded my money, but I have not received the refund yet. This is just an awful customer service experience. People beware not to take service peoples words for truth here. If I already paid you why cant you just give me a courtesy call before you cancel my order? I get that this is a hot item, thats why I did my due diligence to make the arrangements that didnt mean anything to you. I should have just ordered this on Amazon. I could have saved me a lot of time and energy. Never again, this was a nightmare!!

Ill try to keep this short but I wanted to share what happened to me and my mom whole shopping here last week. Christmas shopping is stressful enough but even so my mom and I were having a good time and finding great deals here but uit all came to a horrible end when I accidently bumped into a womans cart near electronics in the back of the store, mind you Im 51 and I had a giant toy kitchen in my cart blocking my view, this womans cart was in the middle of the aisle inbetween her and a giant display cage filled with stuffed animals. I rammed into the display cage accidently because I couldnt fit inbetween it and her cart so I had to bump her cart to fit. I already just knocked the wind out of me but managed to say excuse me as I walked through and then as Im walking away I can hear this woman going off about how I better "watch out and if I had knocked anything out of her cart she would have knocked my head off" I couldnt believe it...I ignored her though,were at a kids store for crying out loud. I had to pass her again though when I was walking the aisles looking for my mom, she had my daughter a few aisles over. She didnt witness the ordeal which didnt end there. I passed her again and she yelled at me to say excuse me next time little girl and I said I did.....she was not having that so she called me a whitey cracker bi**h and started yelling at me...and I called her crazy and trashy and kept ignoring her until she said "yo mama bi**h" and started taking her jacket off like she was gonna fight me!! My mom finally heard and saw what was happening and told her to leave me alone and the employees grabbed my moms arms and held her back even though the woman was the threatening one and all my mom was doing was pointing at her!!!! We got no apologies and told to leave the store but luckily were allowed to purchase my kids gifts first. NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN EVER!

This is a Toys R Us & Babies R Us. I only shopped the Toys R Us side, but it was a HORRIBLE experience. The parking spaces outside are very small, difficult to get into with a mid-sized vehicle, if you are driving a truck you will have difficulty opening your doors with cars beside you. Inside is chaotic with many vague sales signs and most items are out of place. We actually had to get a person to look on the computer and tell us which item was on sale (they couldnt tell from the sign either). Even if you buy something marked as on sale, make sure to watch as the toys are ringed up, most of my items rang up as full price. When I told the cashier that they were on sale, I was asked to go get the sign as proof (I didt have a problem with getting the sale sign, but the computer should be updated with current info). When I brought the sign back only one item was discounted correctly. I wasnt able to catch this until after the transaction was complete because there is no screen for the customer to view, just a one liner on the credit card swiper. I brought it to the cashiers attention and she said I could take it to the customer service line and they could fix it. There were a minimum of ten people waiting in the customer service line. I wont be going back to this Toys R Us, this experience may have soured me on the chain in general.

Nice outlet with stuffs well sorted for easy find. Being an International regular visitor, I had a terrible un-acceptable and bad customer response from the bald headed fully bearded supervisor when i had an item to return. I had used my National drivers licence as a form of ID in the same store but when one of the customer service reps(lady) could not key it in properly, she called him to assist. Instead of acknowledging he didnt know how to do it, he requested that I go back to my hotel to get my International passport. I drove back to my hotel, got my International Passport and when it was my turn on the queue, i had to meet a different customer service rep. I presented her with my International Passport and she requested for my Drivers Licence (same licence that the other lady & bearded supervisor could not use for obvious lack of knowledge). I wanted to create a scene afterwards by calling his attention and insisting he learns the process from this customer service rep but i changed my mind and left. Such supervisors give Toyrus a really bad reputation in an excellent store. He needs to learn or LEAVE!

Summary: dont order online for in store pickup This review is in regards to online pickup, so you might fair better with the actual store. Ordered online and got a confirmation email within their guaranteed hour timeframe. Headed to the store about thirty minutes later to pick stuff up. Arrived in store, no signage of where to go. Eventually found a stand that said to go to the back of the store. Found a kiosk that wouldnt scan or email, apparently they want you to print out the confirmation on order to pick it up. Ended up heading to customer service and after waiting in line the representative scanned our confirmation. We then had to wait for another person to bring the order from some other place in the store. The process was slow and seemed to be designed to force you to walk through the store in order to get you to buy more things. Walked out of the store 25 minutes after we walked in, just pick up something we already bought. Dont do in store pick up here, the employees did a good job, but the system the company uses wastes your time.
