Terrible experience. We were told our furniture would be delivered Friday and we would get a call the day before for a time frame. We never got that call so my husband took the day off to be here to get it. At 9am they finally called us andgave us a timeframe of 3-6pm. At 5 they called us and told us they would be there in an hour. At 5:50 we got a call telling us the furniture was scratched and we would have to call the store to re-schedule. I called the store and got transferred to the manager Katie-she was unhelpful and rude in my opinion. I told her I wanted the couch delivered Saturday. The next morning I was told it would be delivered Saturday and then told I would get a call back. They called me back to tell me that oops they had made an error and my furniture would not be delivered Saturday. I said I wanted some kind of compensation for the errors. I was offered free delivery. In my opinion not enough for my trouble and obviously something they would have to do for their errors. Apperantly I am getting my couch next Saturday. I am very doubtful it will workout because we have an event that night so they are supposed to deliver it before 3. I will update next week with how that experience goes. I also called the corporate office and was just told well we will pass this complaint on to a manager. Not even a sorry for the error. I used to love star but I can tell you we will not be returning for the rest of our furniture needs. Gallery furniture and Z gallery both had much better service and delivery options for us. Update-Just to update this. At 2:00 on Monday I received a call that The delivery people were 30 minutes from my house. Note-we requested delivery for Saturday. I had to leave work to meet them because who knows when my couches would have been delivered if o had not. If I could give negative stars I would. Oh and when I called the store to try and figure out what was going on after the delivery guy called me no one would come to the phone and I still havent gotten a call back.

I recently relocated to The Woodlands, TX from Tulsa, OK and found myself in need of furniture to stock my new apartment. I considered multiple furniture stores throughout my search and finally landed on Star Furniture after a referral from my girlfriend, who had bought her furniture at a Star location in San Antonio, TX. From the minute I walked into the store my girlfriend and I were greeted with respect and a helpful hand. This was especially nice, considering many other stores we had visited didnt want to give the time of day to a pair of early-twenty somethings. My salesman from the first time I visited the store till the day I walked out the proud owner of a new bedroom and dining room set was Billy Walker. Billy was very accommodating with every question and inquiry throughout my search. When it comes to rather large purchases I can be very indecisive and meticulous, which led to me asking him countless questions and asking more of him than I would assume most clients do. He answered every inquiry I had politely with a smile on his face. He also made the experience an enjoyable one, as it should be. He joked along with us and took every little quip of sarcasm I through at him like a champ. I would absolutely recommend Billy Walker to anyone going into this store looking to buy some quality furniture, at a competitive price, who are also looking to have a blast doing so! The only downside from my experience with Star Furniture is one of my own doing. I took advantage of their Labor Day sale; a busy time of the year when stuff is flying out the door, which means I will be waiting for the arrival of my furniture a little longer than Id like. This is the first review I have ever written on Google, which should go to show how pleased I am with my experience at Star Furniture. I might even find myself back there sooner rather than later looking to add to the collection, and you can bet Ill be hitting up Billy the minute I walk in.

I had the worst experience at this location. After finding two bedrooms sets for our new home, I ordered these through Cindy. Cindy was with me when I picked out my daughters bed and dresser, and I picked out our master bedroom set on a day when she was gone. I called Cindy at a later date and ordered the furniture, and scheduled the delivery for our move in date. On the day of our move, I called to confirm delivery. The receptionist told me they had no record of our delivery. I then spoke with both Cindy and the store manager. Neither were apologetic or looking to solve the problem. I cancelled the order and decided to go to the Star Furniture in the Willowbrook Area. My husband and I showed up at 8pm on a Saturday after a full day of moving. Upon showing our salesperson the receipt from the N Houston location, she realized my daughters bed was not the bed I had intended to order. I then placed the order with the Willowbrook store and scheduled delivery for the following Monday. Come to find out, not only did Cindy have the wrong bed on our original order, but she also had the wrong dresser and nightstands for our master bedroom set.

This is my familys second shopping experience with Star and it wont be our last. Holly Land was our sales associate...so glad she has a good sense of humor and patience...we arent what you call decisive shoppers. For that matter we had to return the recliners we purchased...hubby said they hurt his back. We picked out a different set of recliners and Star/ Holly managed the whole process. We also purchased a beautiful rug and wine cabinet. Oh and of course we drug my 12yo son through our shopping experience. The staff there are very courteous... no sideways glances at my kid who is collapsing on the sofas out of boredom. Just smiles and always offering to get us water. Again, I recommend shopping at Star. Competitive prices. Very kind and patient staff. I know well be going back

My wife and I love this store. They never disappoint. Weve bought a lot of furniture from them over the years. They have high quality pieces. While the prices tend to be somewhat high, you just wont find the quality and the options at other stores. We just recently purchased a new sofa with a chair and a half. They allowed us to pick out the fabric of our choice at no additional cost. It takes a little extra time to go that route but you exactly what you want for the same price as the show piece. We went through at least 70-80 different fabrics. We were blown away with this experience and weve been shopping there for 13+ years. Highly recommend this store.

We explained what we were looking for to our sales rep (Charlie Paul) and she showed us a variety and then we found it! A left arm and a right arm recliner with a counsel in between. The fabric is fabulous. That following weekend they had a 20% off sale. The savings not only covered the sales tax, it covered the delivery and the fabric protection. When I got there Charlie wasnt there but Walt too really good care of me! He even wrote it up in Charlies name so she would get the credit for the sale...they even had a buffet of snacks and breakfast goods! This store is huge and beautiful, much better than Basset next door!
