Now, I never write reviews on places but I felt this was necessary. As all brides are, I was looking forward to picking out the perfect wedding dress. I did my research on all the different types of dresses and designers, now all I needed to find was the perfect shop. Mia Bridal carried the designer I liked so I proceeded to call them and book an appointment with the perfect sales person who would be just like on “Say Yes to the Dress”. I called and asked if I could book some time to come in and look around. The sales LADY on the phone stop me before I could finish my sentence and said, “First thing is first, our lowest price for a dress is $3,000.00. Is that in your budget”? Basically can you afford this and if not goodbye. Taken back, I said well yes and she said ok then me or ______ (a man) will be one of the two that will help you, then just asked for a date and time. She was very short didn’t even ask if I had a dress in mind just if I could afford it and come in. I was first off disappointed in her tone and second she already ruined my first wedding dress experience so much that I wasn’t looking forward to going in there. Needless to say I called 2 days before and canceled my appointment. Even if I did find the right dress for me there I wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction or even commission of purchasing it from her. If I was the Owner of Mia Bridal this would really concern me. Three of my close friends are also engaged and I already informed them about this place and to stay far far away!! Really sad to say but buying a wedding dress is very emotional in it self alone so you want your experience to be delightful.. I can slap a guarantee on it that if you go to Mia Bridal or even call to set up an appointment it WILL NOT BE!

A SEVERE WORD OF CAUTION for any bride considering Mia Bridal Couture. We are disgusted/appalled with their lack of knowledge, judgment and professionalism. I purchased a signature designer wedding dress from a trunk show and the owner measured me herself. I did not have a corset/bra and asked about needing one. She replied, "You do not need a bra with this dress because it has boning already". The day of our wedding I wore the dress for 30 minutes when it began to sag and 45 minutes later it would not hold up. I spent our ENTIRE cocktail hour in a hotel room trying to hold the dress up. The only temporary solution was to wear a jacket on backwards! Before we cut the cake I had to change into a dress from Target that one of my bridesmaids brought. Mia Bridal did not know how to respond when I later called. I asked the owner "What have you done in this case before?" she replied, "I have no idea what to do, this never happened to me before". We showed Mia Bridal our wedding photos and asked for financial compensation. We subsequently received a formal letter through email stating “All Sales Final”. The owner would not speak to us again, so we tried contacting the co-owner (who primarily works at Brickhouse Bridal). The co-owner never directly deals with brides! We hired an attorney who sent Mia Bridal a settlement letter. Mia Bridal responded with a similar answer. We stopped legal proceedings due to financial strain and ultimately received NO refund. Mia Bridal was more concerned with monetary profits than compensating a nightmare-wedding dress scenario due to the owner’s lack of knowledge, judgment and professionalism.

I loved my dress, that was the one I wanted and they had it. BUT I did not like the experience with the owner of this boutique AT ALL. She has quite a scam going on. I am very skinny, and usually wear a 0 or a 2. After getting my measurements, she ordered my dress in a 6!!! WHY? I said I was concerned about the size being too big (I also wrote her an email about it, so I had it in writing). I couldnt understand why such a big size was ordered. She was very pushy about it. Once the dress arrived (after 5 long months, and just a few weeks before my wedding), it was indeed huge on me. I was upset but also didnt have time or wanted to find another dress. She just told me to have it adjusted, and suggested me to go to a specific taylor who dealt wedding gowns only (So really good at it). Turns out the 2 are buddy buddy. It cost me a lot of money...+30% the price of the dress itself. Ridiculous. I protested saying it was a scam, but she rudely replied that dresses always need to be adjusted. BS. I had to make it 3 size smaller, like it was supposed to be since the beginning. And btw on my wedding day my dress was still a bit loose. Dont get fooled!

Mia bridal was such a wonderful experience for me as a bride to purchase my dress. They have a selection of dresses that most places do not carry, which is nice. When I called to make the appointment the lady was extremely nice and professional and asked why styles of dresses I was interested in and also asked my budget. She did let me know that their dresses start outside of my budget, but really I appreciated that because you DO NOT want to fall in love with a dress you cant afford. for me it worked out fine because I really managed my budget well and had one for " this is what I would prefer to buy at." and one for " I will not spend more than X amount period." so it was fine. these ladies were very helpful and professional compared to other bridal stores, which was nice. you do need to be able to stand your ground - but that is going to be any place you go to look at dresses. they are in the business of selling dresses - their dresses, so of course they are going to try to talk you into it. I did not feel overly pressured at all to shop with these ladies, and I think that says a lot.

This was a wonderful shop and I had the best experience- not to mention I said yes to the dress!! Rachel was absolutely amazing- she wasnt just in the background pulling gowns-she was apart of the whole experience, helping me to explore different styles and options (they have a huge selection), listening to my preferences while still helping me to venture out of my comfort zone, and while working WELL within my budget never making me feel pressured to spend more. My dress was a build your own type gown where every piece could be added or altered (skirt, top, sleeves etc). Rachel added the final touch with an off the shoulder sleeve- when I stood in front of the mirror I literally starting bawling and Rachel was right there celebrating with me. They even busted out the celebratory champagne!! I couldnt have had a better experience. Rachel also followed up with me several times to let me know my dress had come in, that it had shipped and even followed up after my wedding. This is the kind of customer service a bridal shop should have for a brides special day.
