TL;DR: My phone is working again (maybe?) after 3 weeks of dealing with poor customer service. I have 0 confidence in this shop. Cant speak as to screen repair but dont trust them for solder work. Brought my Nexus 5 in after the power button began to fail (persistent/random reboot). They originally quoted me 3-5 business days because they didnt have the button in stock. I called back the next day to see if there was a more accurate time estimate and they said repairs were complete (and didnt call?). I went down and asked how they managed to do the repair if they didnt have the part in stock. The customer service rep said the tech must have found a button lying around and used that cause this phone works. Charged me for the button replacement. A WEEK LATER the button begins to fail again. Lo and behold some research uncovers that if you open the phone up and toggle the button from the inside it will TEMPORARILY fix the problem. I called and gave them hell about it and the same CSR insisted the tech had replaced the button because it was in the computer. This was the same log I saw him update as I asked about the miraculous turnaround time. CSR says I can bring it back for free because its within 90 days. The real question is how can I trust that theyll actually replace the button this time? --- TWO WEEKS LATER... --- I finally have my cell phone back. Even with an angry customer they would not rush a parts order and the button took a full week to come in. Then the repair took them another 3 days to complete. At least thats what I assume it took because they never called me to say it was ready. Every time I needed an update on my phone I had to call to ask.

I was recommended to this place from my cell phone ins co. I have an S6 active and was told the repair would take longer because they had to order the part (screen). The cost was over $300. The first time I picked up the phone the screen quit working within minutes. Took it back, picked it up 2 hours later. Again the screen stopped working that same day. Took it back again and they sent it to their Spring location and the master tech. After a total of 3 weeks I picked up the phone and the screen cracked again under simple thumb pressure while taking it out of my pocket. I can only reason that they use sub standard replacement glass and or the techs are not equipped to fix this particular phone. Further review of the cracked screen showed it was not even attached fully to the phone. I found a Samsung repair facility on I-10 @ Wilcrest and they fixed it within 2 hours and used an OEM screen and sealed it to the phone correctly. Also the repair was only $215 with Samsung. I will say however that the Dr Cell phone staff was always very courteous but I will not use them again. Fortunately I have a great insurance company and they are taking care of the cost on both repairs.

This store gives a $20 discount for rating the store upon purchase, so thats probably a large reason why there are so many reviews are 5 star reiews. I took my iPhone6 in to be fixed--I had cracked the screen. Once I got home, I noticed that the screen seemed bigger than usual. My roommate and friend agreed that the screen was abnormally large. Surprise, the phone cracked again that night, I believe due to the larger screen. I took the phone to be fixed the next day, as I had a warranty. Surprise, I had to pay another $110 to fix my phone, despite the fact that the break was largely, if not entirely, their fault. When I received my phone, I noticed that the mute button was in a fixed position--it was unable to move. I took it back yet again to get fixed. This time, they loosened it too much to the point where the functionality is very minimal--I have to try especially hard to mute or unmute my phone, an issue not present before I took my phone there. The staff is nice, and the owner seemed genuine when I was forced to return my fourth time, but I cannot it good conscience give them anything above 3 stars.

They may be good with broken screens but dont trust them with other products, Sound jack was not working on my 6th Gen iPod Classic - the last of the iPods with its own hard drive. I went to Champions store , but they sent me to iPod specialist at 290 store. The tech there said the iPod still had a strong resale because of the drive and the fact that it had the largest memory capacity sold. I paid $30 for diagnostics and was told they needed a part put it would be ready in a few days - it would cost me another $50 when I picked it up That was Jan 7. I have emailed for update with no response. I called today (feb 4) and sat on hold for 5 minutes before an answer and then another 13 minutes before the guy came back and said they had to send it to a specialist in River Oaks who couldnt fix it , but they could not tell me when it was coming back to them or whether it was in least the the shape I left it. Cant help but wonder if all the time and "traveling" it did had anything to do with the full library of 16,000 songs on it. BEWARE.

Brought my Samsung Galaxy S6 in for a rear camera screen repair after it cracked. The only option they offered was to replace the glass camera screen. After replacement, I was back within a month because the inside of the lens was completely covered in dust and debris. Being under warranty, they pulled the camera screen off (cracking the edge of it in the process), cleaned it, and glued it back into place. They then advised that I could have replaced the whole camera for $10 more than I originally paid for the glass, but now it was too late. Within a few weeks of the warranty fix, the inside of the camera glass was filthy again and my camera was unusable. I brought it back, outside of the warranty and they wanted 80% of the new camera cost to simply do a diagnostic and cleaning of their own poor workmanship. TL;DR: Took S6 in for a camera glass repair, Dr Cell Phone did a piss poor job and want to charge me to fix their own mistake. Will be going to one of their competitors.

Bad place, dont go there. The employees dont know how to fix phones. Im not really sure if they try to fix the phone or not, but im just wasted 32$ for nothing. My Galaxy S3 stopped seeing Sim Card and i called them to ask if they can fix it. Sound was that it is easy to fix, but after i picked up the phone, checked it did no work and it has the same issue, i returned back and they fixed in 1.5 hr(WOW), which i can not believe they even touch it. And it is the same issue, still phone can not see sim card, and then they said, well we can not fix it. Then i asked give me my money back which they refused to do it, since 28.99$ cost for diagnostic which they can not return,. Well from my 43$ i got back only 11$. I will stay away from this place. They guys dont know what they doing and how to treat their customers.
