I ordered a bike for my girlfriend as a gift from the store. The store was never able to confirm the delivery date and constantly gave me different responses depending on who I spoke with. The customer service and communication has been very tiring and I dont think I would ever order another bike from them. When the first bike did arrive at their store it was damaged in shipping, so the store ordered another bike. I had the same experience with store personnel not knowing when the bike would be delivered or even having a clue of where it was in the shipping process. Each time I asked I was given a different response. I even stopped by the store to request a status of where the bike was and the store clerk told me they would check with the manufacturer and call me the next day, but I never heard from them. Finally, 4 days later I called the store to check on the status of the bike and they said it arrived 3 days ago and that they called me to let me know. They never called nor left a voice mail. This is probably the worst customer service Ive experienced. I would expect to be treated a little better considering this was a $500+ bike order and my first time purchasing from the store.I would not recommend shopping at this location.

Talk about going above and beyond! So first off, when I came into the store, they had the bike I wanted, but not in the color I preferred. Unfortunately the bike was out of stock in all of Houston. So instead letting me go without the bike...because I got discouraged, Jordan offered to call the Austin store to see if they had a bike with the color I wanted. Low and behold, the Austin store had the color bike I wanted and Jordon and team arranged the shipment of the bike to Houston. Thank you Jordon. Nathan called me to let me know that the bike had arrived. He also gave me a crash course on how to use the gears and how to take the front wheel off, so that I could get the bicycle in my car (I hadnt bought a bike rack) without making me feel incompetent, since I am a beginner. A couple of days later, I came back for a helmet and another guy (I dont know his name) was very helpful and knowledgeable about helmets. He showed me all of the helmets and explained the differences based on my price point. These guys are extremely knowledgeable about bikes, but more than anything, I can tell that they are passionate about their jobs and really care about making sure their customers are taken care of. Thank you guys!

Bicycle World is hands down the best bicycle shop you will go to in the Houston area! I have never had a negative experience there and am always helped promptly and by knowledgable staff. They have helped me pick out one high end road bike and one single speed commuter. Both times were pleasant and enjoyable. They explained the pros and cons of each type of bike I was looking at and what would fit me best. They really get to know you as a person and tailor a bike to your needs. Every time I have come in for a work up on my bike, it is done by complete professionals and always done exactly on time and when they tell me. They have also packed several bikes for me and helped me ship them to various locations. Each time it showed up unharmed and in great condition. I have been a proud and loyal customer to Bicycle World for the past 5 years and will continue to be one for the rest of my life! Thank you to all of the people that do such great work at all of the shops!

I am not much of a hardcore cyclist. I love my bicycle though and depend on it to get to and from school, the coffee shop, etcetera, every day. The people at Bicycle World are completely willing to answer any question I come up with, no matter how dumb or trivial. The first time I was there, they recommended an amazing product to help me easily clean and lubricate my chain (which was getting pretty gross). The next time, my brake had fallen off the handle bar (its an old bike...), and they were able to salvage the break and fix things. He even looked over my bike and gave it a minor tune up. Everything free of charge on this day! I think he felt sorry for me. Anyway this really is a marvelous store with great people who really know their bikes. It has a neighborhood feel to it too, which you just cant beat.

My husband Nick and I went here today looking for two bikes, but not entirely sure what would be the best fit for us. Luckily, the knowledgable and friendly staff was more than helpful. They allowed us to take lengthy test drives, so we were really able to get a feel for the bikes. After my first test drive, I wasnt thrilled with my choice. Jim gladly explained other options that would work for me. Before leaving with our two brand new bikes, they attached all the bikes accessories (bags, water bottle holders, etc.) for us. Jim spent at least two hours helping us find the perfect bikes for us and then gladly helped us load them in our car. We will definitely be visiting this shop for all our bike needs and for the complimentary twice a year tune ups. Highly recommend!

Awesome customer service. I believe Alex was the guys name who helped fix my bike. He adjusted and tightened my brakes, explained to me what type of tires I needed and even went as far as telling me the pros and cons of each brand and style. He also put on a chain (that I purchased elsewhere). He was highly knowledgeable and did not treat me differently due to me not making a big purchase or my bike being a lesser brand. The most mind blowing part of it all is when I asked him how much my bill was and he responded "dont worry about it." I even offered to tip him and he said that a simple Google review would suffice. These guys really care for their customers and is why all of my future purchases will be made right here at Bicycle World West U. Thanks

I went to this bike shop to replace my flat tyre on 04/26/2017. The price $18 is OK if they indeed fix the problem. However, the moment I went out of the shop, I found out that the wheel is badly tilted, as shown in photo. As a result, the friction is 4 times larger than ever before, and riding this bike became a painful experience since then. I have repaired my bike many times in many other places and have never might such a problem. In summary I dont recommend this place for bike repair because their carelessness may bring about more troubles to you than a DIY solution.

Service is a little smug and prices are higher than comparable bike stores inside the loop. Quality of tune up was disappointing despite also buying new tubes, tires, chain, sprockets, etc. Within 10 minutes of picking up the bike, I requested a second look at the front derailleur as it was not shifting smoothly. I was told that everything was working fine. When I insisted, they made an adjustment that was just slightly noticeable. I discovered at home that the mechanism needed to be lubricated---tune up should have included it.
