Man... That bike mechanic is rude, rude rude... I have several high-end bikes, but decided I wanted to take a brand new Huffy 27.5" (my daughters bike), to see if I can put a quick release on the front wheel hub, so I can take it with when we go camping, etc... That guy laughed (in a very arrogant kind of tone) and told me it wouldnt fit, when I know it would (Ive worked on many, many bikes in my lifetime). I told him to "not scoff" at my bike, just because it wasnt a $6000 TREK bike. He looked at me in a very condescending manner like he was "too good" to even talk with me about it. I was ready to stick him the middle finger. Hes VERY arrogant. (Middle aged dude working in a bike shop) Hes probably pissed that his job sucks and he doesnt make any real money. I went there again a couple of weeks later for another small bike part, and he basically had the same attitude. Let me tell you something... I can afford ANYTHING in that store, but will never take my business there again. That dude sucks! Ill go down the road, or order on-line. Maybe Bike-Barn or Bike-Lane staff are more willing to help.

Very rude customer service, i went in today 2-25-16 to get a trailor hitch extention for my 2 inch ball to a 1 inch ball for my traior hitch receiver to my bike hitch, i showed one of the employees a older man with gray balled is hair, what i needed and he was like oh i got that and the way he said i got that made me wonder if he did have it. So i question him and he got mad and said let me go get it for you. So i wait a few minuets and he bring out what it looks like what im looking for and he unraps it very slow. Then i look at it and it is 2 peaces of steel not what i was looking for. He tryed to show me how it hooks up and i told him it wouldnt work bc its not the correct size im looking for. I asked him how much it was he said $25.95 i told him thats to much for 2 peaces of steel and a pin and bolt. Then he said OK THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME. I clearly told him off and left and i will NEVER go back to this bike shop ever again. Clearly they dont know what their doing or know how to treat customers in a friendly mannor. I was treated like crap.

The staff underlings are pretty nice but the owner has a pitiful attitude. I brought my bike in for a tuneup. It has alot of miles on it so of course its taken some damage. The owner is also the lead mechanic He eyeballed the bike and tried to talk me into buying parts I dont need. I made it clear what I wanted, and the owner just looked at me saying he doesnt like to work on beat up bikes. Like does he want me to apologize for riding my bike alot? If I wasnt desperate I would have taken my business elsewhere. Somewhere along the way he scoffed at a carbon fiber fix i made where I wrapped up part of my frame with a crack with carbon fiber. Cheaper than buying a whole new frame. Anyway, the owner made it seem like it was such an inconvenience that I was asking him to basically do his job. Cyclists generally have an elitist attitude with huge egos. He was the epitome of that. Its your job to fix beat up bikes. Next time ill take my bike and my money elsewhere. That being said, the bike fix was good. Too bad he couldnt fix his attitude.

Went this morning for a warranty claim for SRAM. SRAM does not deal with consumers so they advised I go to a local bike shop (LBS). They recommended this particular shop, and I called before going to make sure everything was going to go smoothly. On the phone they sounded willing to take care of it, but when I showed up, it was a short 2 minutes conversation. I did not buy the brakes from them, they are not going to even to touch them. I guess customer service goes out the window when you dont buy from them. I buy stuff from both LBS and online, depending on need and price. This is one shop that will most certainly not see my business no matter how badly I need a part.

Wow! Northwest Cyclery has done it over and over. Their owner and their staff are rock solid. The last story is only one of many. Theyd tuned my bike and was ready for a huge ride in Kerville for the annual for the Easter Hill Country Tour, 3 days of grueling hills, long rides & lots of fun. I loaded my bike and broke my cassette hanger.. I have a Felt F1 (they helped build for me, though they dont sell & support), they tried to match, called all over, found the part and installed, re-tuned my bike and send me on my way in 2 hours! OT

I bought 2 bikes from my local NW store in Jersey Village. I had an issue with one of the bikes shocks after 9 months and NW cycles took care of it without a problem. Jim was in charge of resolving the issue and he kept me informed of every step of the repair process. I know I can trust NW bikes for all my future bike purchases because they take care of their clients after the sale.

Took a bicycle to get fixed this morning. I approached a young guy working in the back and asked for help in taking the bike out of the SUB. Asked him for an estimate. He began to fixed the bike ... I was out of there in 30 minutes. Extremely pleasant young men... Do not find friendly, attentive and competent people very often. He made my day !!! Cost ? Almost nothing.

The ower had a ready, willing, and able buyer for a stationary bike. He had none at this location, but did at the SW location. Would not transfer the $400 item over. Was not helpful with problem with the one that doesnt work. Guess he doesnt need the business. Probably looking to close this location like the Spring Branch one.

I have taken two bikes in for repair, and the work was done well. However, both times they said "someone will call you when its ready". Nobody ever called. I called after 2 weeks and was told it was ready. I guess that means you have to check up on them. The work done was correct and good.

I have bought 3 bikes and plenty of accessories from this location. The owner and staff have always been very helpful and friendly. I have also seen them on numerous occasions volunteering at various bicycle races and events. Great store! I highly recommend it.
