Took my bike in to get it inspected for the MS 150. Pros: The technician took it immediately and was knowledgeable offering suggestions for the near future with maintenance items I should look at in the near future. Cons: He went through his checklist and adjusted things on my bike without telling me and that I didnt ask him to do and then proceeds to charge me for them. I suspected that I needed a new chain so having him replace that wasnt an issue and we discussed that ahead of time but the headset and front crank derailleur adjustments were unnecessary. They are things I wouldve done myself and costed me an extra $7 + $10 respectively. Not a big deal but the principle felt wrong. I mentioned it to the cashier and he offered to take the headset adjustment off of my bill. I did not take him up on the offer. It wasnt the $7, it was the principle. Other than this, the people were generally friendly. The selection of product left something to be desired. I wasnt in there looking for things in particular but perused the small hand pumps and bike mirrors. Neither sections had the brands/types I had been researching that competitors carry.

The staff are patient and helpful. They helped me out quite a bit on MTB shoes. I needed to try on a Specialized shoe in a particular size (and it wasnt in stock). So, they ordered it in for me, as well as my other choice of a Bontrager shoe. I ended up purchasing the Spec shoe because it was more comfortable. I was really hoping the Bontrager shoe would fit because my last pair of Specialized didnt last very long. Oh well, give them one last try before moving to another brand. Anyhow, I go in and pick up whatever bits I might need, and they have always been friendly and nice. There are some stores that just ignore you altogether, but I havent had that issue here. You can usually find someone to help you, if you need them. I think they could improve their clothing selection a bit; the old location on Westheimer used to carry more items. I remember the old location having a better selection of bibs, jerseys, and base layers.

I bought a $300 bike from amazon and got it a week later. However, I did not know how to assemble the bike myself. So I took my bike to this place. Well, they were friendly and helpful. They knew I was new to this type of sport. So they recommended me a lot of things that needed to go together with the bike. I did purchase a waterbottle holder. Which cost me another $20. However, when they finished assembling my bike I couldnt believe it myself. The whole thing cost me $110.50. I know I shouldve asked them first but holy cow. Also, the whole assembling process took them 6 hours. I will give them a three stars for being friendly and helpful. But the price... not so much

I have been to this location several times and the staff has always been helpful. I ended up buying a bike from here and have no regrets. Geoff who helped me with my bike was really informative on the bikes set up and he fit me on a perfect frame size and Im happy about that. The parts counter has a really helpful man named Jase there. He is also really helpful and he is really informative. I enjoy how he takes his time to help someone out. He never tries to upsell and he explains things well. I will definitely take my bike to him first before even thinking about taking it to someone else.

Awful. Took my fathers wheel in to get a single spoke replaced and they immediately took advantage of me. At first, they wanted me to pay $100 to replace the wheel. Then, they quoted me over $30 to replace one broken spoke. I had to point out on the board of where it says "Spoke replacement $10.99" he looked at it and just gave me some runaround to justify his quote. After that, I just told him to give me the wheel back and I will not be back. I took it to REI and they replaced it for under $15. From now on, even if it means a longer drive, I will go to REI instead.

Jones at this location is one of the best Sales people I have worked with my entire life. He takes time with you instead of leaving you to your own when you dont know about things. I decided it was time for me to ride a proper bike after buying a bike from walmart. I went to Bike Barn at Westheimer. He helped me choosing the bike, test it, purchase it, service it, attach the accessories and help ask questions I had. Awesome experience.

Pros: Informative Cons:Overpriced, Rude staff I simply asked for a bundle discount and one of the staff answered "Were not that desperate for your business". I wonder how the branch manager would feel if he heard that... There are a lot of other stores in Houston that sells brand name like Trek but doesnt charge you an arm and a leg for one. Do your research and youll see.

Exorbitant prices for services. They charge $25 for fenders instalment (5 minutes of work!). They were uncooperative, didnt know that they had Electra fenders to Electra bike. Yet they were sure they cant borrow any tools for few minutes. They try to gouge $$$ from customers. Avoid this place!

10 year history with this Bike Barn. Have purchased 3 Specialized bikes from them. Excellent customer service. Geoff has been helping me with my bikes since purchase of bike #1. He is exceptional! Steve is an excellent manager. I highly recommend this location.

Overpriced rude bike shop thats condescending to anyone who doesnt own/purchase a bike over 10k and tacks on heavy pricing for servicing.
