Previously provided great service, but this time I found out the quality of service has declined. I was promised and promised a time at which my repair would be ready and it never was. When I dropped off the glasses I was told that the necessary repairs would amount to the same as replacing the frames. I agreed and was told the repair would take a couple of hours so I told them I would pick them up in the morning when they opened at 10:00am. I called before driving out and was told by the person who answered the phone to call back after 12:30pm because she was off when I dropped my order off so she was not able to tell me if they were ready for pickup. When I phoned back, the gentleman who does the repairs informed that they were not ready because after I left, they got very busy and he wanted to verify the replacement frames before he fixed them. I agreed again to the new frames and was told they would be ready for pickup at 10:00am the next day. I called again before heading out and was informed again that they had been too busy with other customers who came in after me that they were unable to do my repair because it was more difficult that what others were bringing in for repair. I was again promised they would be ready that afternoon but since it was Memorial Day weekend, I did not want to chance being without the glasses until Tuesday so I told them I would be there shortly to pick them up. I can understand that they were unable to keep their promised repair time one day, but to continually promise to have something ready when twice they have put the repair asside to do easier repairs is just irresponsible. They also expect the customer to keep in touch them because they will not call you to inform you the repairs are going to take longer than expected. Luckily I called each time instead of driving across town to pick up the glasses at the promised time. Unless service improves, I will not be back.

Heard good things about them, went in and paid 99$ to have one of the arms on my glasses refabd and put back on. Was told it would take a few hours to finish, but I couldnt stick around and lived over an hour away so they said they would mail them to me. Waited over a week to receive them after calling to find out if they had even sent them. I was happy to finally have my glasses back so I wouldnt be blind just to find they were broken still and in the same place they were supposedly fixed. Ive tried making contact with them but havent had any luck so far. Edit: So it took about a week to get a hold of them, but at least I finally did. Rob, who called me said that I could mail them back to have the issue fixed and that he would cover shipping both ways whether he reimbursed me or I did CoD. So I mailed the glasses back to them to have them fixed and got a call a few days later saying they were fixed but that the other arm would probably break within a month or two and said they could go ahead and fix it, so I said okay but then he told me itd cost 40$ so I gladly declined after their first service, I was wrong to think they would just do it as a courtesy to fix the prior issue I had with them, oh well. Anyways, I received the glasses back a few days later, these guys love standard mail that takes years to get anywhere. They hadnt reimbursed me for the shipping to them and the arm they "fixed" is wobbly and not on straight, so maybe it will only last a month or two itself... Overall, not happy with the company what so ever.

American eyeglass has repaired multiple sets of eyeglasses for me and they have always done a fine job. What really sets them apart, and why I am giving them this five-star rating, is due to the fact that I recently had a problem with one set of glasses they repaired. The pair is a titanium rimless model and broke soon after I received them back. This is not the sturdiest pair of glasses, however I sent them back because they were still within the 90 day warranty window. Rob promptly called me back, apologized, and even though I no longer had the receipt, promised he would have them fixed that day and returned to me at no charge. It is easy to say a company is good when there are no issues, but the true example of a good company is when they stand behind their work, provide outstanding customer service, do what they say they are going to do, and honor their warranty. These guys did just that, and in a very professional and courteous manner. Above and beyond the call of duty, thanks guys!

I got a phone call from this place which is where I took to my glasses to get fixed. One of the staff named Rob (the other one is named Harold) told me that I had dropped my warranty to my repair in the parking lot the previous day I was there. Said he will hold it for a while if I wanted to pick it up. And without the paper if something happened to the glasses then I wouldnt be covered. I said I got some shades yall can fix. Ill be there today. The level of service is amazing. Im not sure what everyone can pay. But I feel it was worth it! Dont sleep on this place. They are the BEST! The world is not perfect, and I feel they do their best to get you the service that is dang near perfect! The correct hours are m-f 10-6, sat 10-4, closed sunday. At the corner of chimney rock and 59 next to the shell in a small office building. So stop searching on google and start only coming here, and then tell all ya friends. I do and am!

Super nice and friendly until the glasses they fixed broke within 3 weeks . I couldnt find my receipt but SURELY they keep records. They open at 10. I walked in as soon as he opened. Its not my fault he didnt get there early and wasnt set up to conduct business at 10. But that was fine. I wasnt in a rush. But you could tell he was aggravated. I told him I could not find the receipt. Im a business owner and I understand the frustration but honestly I really thought they had done a great job and I wouldnt have to worry about having a receipt. Another employee comes in and I can hear the guy bitching about me. The SAME guy I have been referring to everyone because I THOUGHT his customer service was excellent. Well its not. l just walked out. He was beyond rude and unprofessional.

I waited for the door to open, I was first client that morning. I was promised by Rob that my sons eyeglasses will be ready in 2 hours. I paid $99 upfront, hung around in the vicinity and waited. After 2 hours, I called only to find out the repair has not started yet. Rob said, "In an ideal world, your glasses will be ready. But its Monday and... Would you like us to go ahead with repair or not? There is one, two, three, ... twenty ahead of you." He was very condescending. When I pointed out what he promised, he said, "Thats why were returning your money." No apology at all. He may be good at what he does, but the service was very disappointing. I had to pray for so much grace and patience not to get angry. Im not returning to this place.
