I have been here multiple times and l absolutely love Dr. Gerdts. He is really great and will answer any question. But the front of office staff is absolutely horrible. They are rude and are constantly screwing up. They gave me the wrong prescription for a pair of glasses and had them filled with the wrong prescription. And they lost my file when I asked for the correct prescription because they left it out on the front counter. So now I have to wait another week or so for glasses I can actually use and drive with. One woman working told me I wasnt allowed to buy both contacts and a pair of glasses in the same year using my insurance, even though I have done so numerous times! And when I asked her to eleborate and explain she just said "I dont know." And didnt even try to help me further. Seriously, dont waste your time or money going here. They cant fill prescriptions for glasses or contacts correctly consistently and that is their job. Very sad that I want to switch just because of the front of office staff, because the doctor is great.

Dr. Gerdts was amazing! I know it sounds weird to say that about your optometrist, but I guess you dont know the difference until you have an exceptional experience. Everything from scheduling, flow of our visit, with my husband and son, to the education Dr. Gerdts provided was flawless. Ive never had an optometrist take time to really explain to me about my eyes and my vision. My 2 year old was well received and had toys to play with in the waiting area. Dr. Gerdts also recommended some contacts that feel like silk, that no one else has ever recommended to me in the last 10 years ive been wearing them. Ive never felt loyal to a vision place before but I am now. Thank you Dr. Gerdts for a great experience.

I am very disappointed in this Vision Source and Dr. Gerdts chairside manners. The right lens in my glasses has been blurry from the start. They sent them back twice and then Dr. Gerdts informed me they would not replace it again without charge. How can it be that it is MY fault the right lens is still blurry to me? I dont know where the problem lies with this location (Dr. Gerdts swears it is nothing he did wrong) but someone isnt doing something right. My glasses should improve my vision, not blur it! TSO did a good job last time, I should have gone to them. Costly mistake...I will take my Vision Source glasses and see if TSO can replace the right lens. Never will I return to Vision Source.

This company doesnt know what the word service means. They were rude, short staffed and unwilling to provide information. The employees didnt even know about different products they sold, just the ones they received commission on. They also were uneducated about the insurance plans they accepted. They were so unprofessional. Then when I called in to complain to the manager I now know where there get there skills. It took her a week to respond and when she finally did she had no people skills and was unable to resolve the issue. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but there.

Go anywhere else! I went to the Vision Source in SW Houston to get my eye exam when I was moving. They had reasonable prices on glasses. By the time I could save some money for glasses, I decided to go to the Vision Source in The Woodlands to get the same glasses I had seen. The glasses at this Vision Source were 60-100 dollars more for the exact same frames. When we asked about the discrepancy, they informed us "we should have to pay more because this is THE WOODLANDS." After hearing that, I left. Do not go here. They will rip you off!

I have been going here for years and it is fantastic. Around a year and half ago I came in for a follow up and Dr Gerdtz noticed some major changes and stayed after closing hours to perform more tests and contact colleagues. He recommended that I see a neuro-optomalogist as soon as possible. Dr. Gerdtz figured it out. I am in the process of being diagnosed with a rare auto immune disease and he works hand in hand with my doctors to make sure my condition doesnt worsen. Best optometrist ever. Highly recommend.

I have gone here a couple of times, two out of the three times I was not please. Dr. Gerdts can be rude. Also, I still cant see. My husband doesnt even have correctional lenses or contacts, and he can see better than me when I have my contacts in. When I told the doctor that I still cant see as well as I would like to, he told me that if he gave me a stronger rx that I would just be back next year asking for an even stronger one. There was another Optometrist working here, but he left. He was great.

I went in to get a price for a replacement lense 15 min to closing time. Lenise told me they were open the next morning @ 10. Wow really you cant look up a price so i can buy a lense?? Didnt want you to make on the spot.. I coulda left my glasses, no i just got ran out. These people have too much business so they do not need mine. Ive bought over 2,000 worth of glasses and eye exams over the past 4 years. Not next year or ever again.

If you would like to be treated like cattle and herded around the office, if you like rude people and enjoy listening to the staff complain about people coming in without an appointment then this place is for you! Doctor is great staff horrible. After our eye exam we left with prescriptions in hand. We will purchase glasses elsewhere if I could rate this establishment lower then a single star I would

needed new frames for a pair of computer glasses I use occasionally. told the associate I was looking for inexpensive frames and reply was "our frames start at $100" no effort to explore other possibilities...just a sterile look when I said " you have to be kidding ...Im out of here"

Very professional staff. I had an issue with a pair of eye glasses that the lab had not filled properly. Vision Source made it right with no excuses or problems. They just took care of the problem. I would recommend this location for your eye needs.
