I had a horrible experience the last several times i was there. Im never going back and would suggest to my friends and anyone who asks me about the place to never go there either. I never write reviews but this place really sucked in every way possible! It was hard finding the comics i was interested in, in the mess of comics on the wall, the staff were more interested in catering to the magic players, the back issues sections were in no way, shape, or form organized and no pricing! And the kicker for that day was this, me and my friend were walking around browsing and this random kid starts following us around. We go to an aisle and turn around and hes there, we say hi hows it going and he says hi Im not playing (magic). We leave and go to another aisle and he follows us, we walk past him to go to another section of the store and he slaps both me and my friend on the ass as we walk by (me and my friend are both guys and this kid was a guy too). We didnt want to make a scene so we walked away heading towards the counter, i turn around to see where he is and he has his phone out like hes recording us or taking pics. I go up to the counter to let one of staff know and the guy says Im sorry about that, Ill go talk to him right know. He never comes back to me to explain what was up with that kid or any kind of explanation of any kind, we just see the kid off in a corner sitting alone. We look some more, buy our stuff and leave. A couple of days later i realized a bought several comics i already had, i go back up there a couple of days later and explained that i had just bought them the previous weekend and asked if i could exchange them, the guy says that he could not help me (he wasnt authorized) and the guy that could was not there. He told me to come another day and see the other guy and that if i explained my situation he would probably help me out! I go in a couple days later and the guy Im supposed to see says sorry i cant help you (felt more like wont) we have a no return policy on comics and board games. I asked where in the store inside and out was this policy posted for customers to see and know before buying from them. He said that they didnt have it posted anywhere. So i asked how about just 2 of them, and he says oh we can do two, only problem was he wanted me to give him 2 for 1. So i said, i bought these comics just last weekend and youre not willing to let me exchange them, youre not willing to help me out and keep a customer, youd rather lose one and potentially more. Hes says sorry but thats our policy. He wouldnt let me exchange them at equal value but he was willing to take them back at a 2 for 1. (per their policy??) By this point i am furious, Id been back and forth to this store (45-60 mins to and from) 3 times and each time not a great, good, or even decent experience; and then this guy says as Im leaving, sorry we couldnt help you have a nice day! Oh my f#@*ing god was roaring in my head, are you serious?? I told him dont do that, dont patronize me, you dont care, so dont do that (more with an angry face and tone than just saying). Then i left. And before the attacks start, in my experience everywhere else Ive bought comics from give itemized receipts and have been willing to return or exchange within a certain amount of time from pruchase!!

Sub-par comic shop with lackluster staff. Products are kinda strewn about the shelves and very few items have a price on them. Im not entirely sure if we just came on a bad day but there was maybe two staff members there that werent easily identifiable as staff members. The man behind the counter seemed a bit miffed and wasnt very good at helping us out. I was interested in one of the tiny figures they had in one of the three glass cases they have on the side of the store. When we inquired about prices, he told us to go ahead and grab the figures we were interested in, bring them to the front, and he would tell us. Okay no big deal, I open one of the cases and gingerly take out the figure I was interested in. But before I could even close the door to the case, the man came over to us and said, "Oh no, not these two cases. Just this one." then returned to the counter. I dont care that I didnt get the item I wanted, Im mostly bothered by the fact that 1. He told us ANY case back there then proceeded to walk up to us and tell us its only ONE case we can buy from... And 2. Would it kill anyone to get some receipt paper and write, "Not for Sale" on it and then tape it to the two cases that are not for sale? Mind you it wasnt even like I grabbed a starship figure from a collection set or something. It was a tortoise with a present taped to his shell... It was sitting in the middle of a army from Warhammer. So understandably you can see why I was thinking this weird trinket item was on sale. If your looking to play card games and D&D with other gamers in a muggy store thats near your house, this place is for you. But if your looking to just buy some nerdy stuff and some comic books, your better off going elsewhere.

Why is this place even called Sci Fi Factory? It should be called "Magic Factory". Because that is ALL it is about. Sure, they have comic books, games, and books to sell. But no one cares. All that is ever happening there is Magic card games. The only cards they sell singles of are guess what: Magic. They sell some booster packs of Yu-Gi-Oh and a few others but they are very small trading packs about 3 cards per pack and very few amount of said items. Plenty of crap load of Magic cards though. There are tables set up and they get in the way. You cant get to the wall that has paints, paint brushes for miniatures without tripping on peoples phone cords (yeah, they let you charge your phone in the store and your laptops...which have cords ALL OVER the place). They have one or two nights to board games and variations of DND, but guess what happens mostly? Magic card nights. If you look at their facebook, all they talk about is "hey, so and so wants a Magic fight!" They have one day when you can play Pokemon for about two hours I think and Saturday for YGO at 12-4. First off, noon on a Saturday? Seriously? People are still asleep by then. And thats when the tournaments start. There should be a YuGiOh night like theres a Friday night magic. These guys have serious potential. But they are way too fixated on Magic. They need to have deals on their games (which are pretty much Gamestops price, or a few dollars more. Why bother?) and movies. They show variety, but they do not even try with it. Its like "Yeah, we have all these things. But theyre mostly here for show. Kthx. Magic anyone?" Lonestar is further away...but better than this place.
