I received a gift in the mail today of a game that I did not wish to play, so I took the unopened software to my closest GameStop to exchange it towards the purchase of another game and received the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. The clerk was extremely rude and confrontational and I am amazed at the way that I was spoken to. Immediately after leaving, I wrote down the conversation I had with the clerk. The conversation went as follows: Me - Hi, I need to exchange this towards the purchase of the new Battlefield. -I present my unopened game along with the Packing List and a copy of the Return Policy that accompanied it- Clerk – Bad Company 2? Me – Yes, the PC version. Clerk – I need the receipt showing how much you paid. Me – All I have is this Packing List. Clerk – I need to know how much you paid. Me – It was a gift, all I have is this packing list and according to this return policy, this is all I need. Clerk – Ok, I still need to know how much you paid for it, man. Me – Can you not just give me the current value for it? The game came out two days ago so the price should be the same. Clerk – Ok, Im just sayin I need to know how much you paid for it. I dont appreciate the attitude. Me – Excuse me? Clerk – Ill do it for you, its ok man. Me – What attitude? Clerk – Its ok man, Ill do it for you Me – All I am asking is that you follow your return policy. Clerk – Man, its ok, Ill hook you up. Me – Im not your man. -Silence until the transaction is completed- Clerk – Thank you, sir. Me – Thank you, Stephen. I was not making any unreasonable requests and my tone was the same civil tone I have used when dealing with cashiers and wait staff for my entire life. The clerk was acting like he was doing me a favor and I was over reacting. I am amazed by the brazenness of the clerk after he said I dont appreciate the attitude and have never been spoken to like that as a customer before in my life. just walked in to this game stop at around noon on 7/31/2016 to appraise my pretty much flawless game console with all the add-ons you could purchase just to have the employee throw it around like a rag doll and rip the box, the price they offered was a joke compared to the price they had for a used on on display. i do understand it is from a business standpoint but ripping someone off is one thing and making money is another. i think game stop as a company should re evaluate how they treat customers items before purchasing them. and it really makes me re think about buying used anything from them seeing the way that they treat it in front of the customers, who knows how they treat it behind the closed door? if they are going to offer someone money for a cash deal, maybe offer a little more than dirt, especially when you have something right behind you marked up 3 times the price of what they offered you cash.....

This is honestly the worst game stop around. I always have a bad experience when I go there. I love going to the one down the street instead. Ok so here is just one of the experiences I have had in there. I was looking for a certain 3ds game and the guy who was there was to busy flirting with a girl. So yup easy to say they didnt have it. It made me and my boyfriend mad. Just horrible customer service if I could give it a 0 I would. Maybe also hire people who are more knowledgeable about games too. Cause the guy didnt know anything about 3ds games. At all.

I have been shopping at this Game Stop for several years and have never had anything but excellent service. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous and are always helpful. I give this store 5 stars in every aspect of service, product knowledge, customer service and just making shopping there fun. A shout out to Trystan, Ryan, Storm, Will, Chase, and all of the staff you all ROCK!! Customer for life!!!

I had the pleasure of speaking to an employee who was knowledgable, easygoing, and not pushy which is hard to find in game stops it seems these days. We had a pretty long conversation about Fallout 4 before it was even taking preorders and Ive continued to come back to this location because of the experience I had before.
