Today I went to Comics & Games to hunt for Pop Figures...... upon entering it was evident they had tons...I quickly found 2 that I had to have.Wanting to look around a bit more I ask the guy behind the counter if there was anywhere I could set these down while I continued to shop. I came across another Pop figure ( I would like to point out here that I am not a pro Pop collector and know nothing more about them than the fact I like the ones that remind me of my childhood 80s) Stay Puff. I had noticed that the version of Stay Puff depicted on the box was different than the one in the box...so I decided to inquire as to why.....(this is where everything goes wrong) after explaining my concern and inquiry while looking and pointing out the differences between the box and figure I look up to a rude stupid stare with his mouth open... there is this awkward 2 second silence before he says (in a rude tone) "OK....So what do you want me to do about it?" I then explain to him that I am not expert and I just thought as someone who is obviously more knowledgeable about toys and collectibles...maybe he could enlighten me as to why theres a different figure in the box than as pictured on the box. He threw his arms up and stated(in the same rude tone) "well, some people would consider that a error and make it worth a lot more money, I dont know man they just came from Funco that way!" it was at this point that I was annoyed enough to finally say something which I did....I first asked him if he was "having a bad day" and "why are you being so rude about this". We blubbered back and forth a bit until finally another employee overheard and came into the convo....I explained to him what I was inquiring about and informed him that this employee had a bit of an attitude about it all.... to wrap things up I told him that I will pass on the $30 of merchandise they were holding for me behind the counter. I have only been to this place one other time which was around 5-6 month ago and I happen to walk in with a little over 30 mins till close...even then they were rude and told me I should make it quick...so I had just turned around and left making my exit as quick as possibly without ever made it in further than a few feet inside the store. I will never go to this place again due to their rude behavior. There were much more positive ways to handle a situation other than this even if I sounded like an idiot for asking....like I said Im not a huge toy collector...but thanks to a quick google search (when I got home) apparently Stay Puff has different variants in the same # box....it was that simple and obviously my sub $100 purchase was no skin off their back.....not a smart business move on their part as from now on Ill get my Pops elsewhere.....

This is easily the best comic book store in the DFW area in terms of selection. They have a ton of events and are very reasonably priced. That being said, I will probably do my business elsewhere after multiple negative experiences with just one employee. Unfortunately, this one employee ruins the whole shebang for me. Not only is she rude and dismissive, but she makes it seem like I, as the customer, am burdensome by asking a question about the stores inventory. Wednesday nights are busy for them as they have 3 events that take place. I walked in probably halfway through the events time-frames. This place was packed. The tables they have the games on abut right up to the glass cases where they keep their single Magic cards. I simply asked if she could check to see if they have the one I was looking for. You know, rather than spending the time looking for it and possibly having to be in the way for players participating in the events. After asking if she could check to see if they had a card, she directed me to the glass case at the side of the store. When I explained that I didnt want to get in anyones way, she sighed/groaned and said "I guess". Making it seem like Im a jerk for asking. She was not careful with the card. She rang me up and I gave her my debit card to pay. She gave it back to me and as I turned to say something to my friend who was with me, she slammed the receipt and a pen on the counter and said "Sign this!". Literally almost yelling at me. I dont know what Brookes issue with me or in general is, but Id rather go someplace like the Sci Fi Factory or Collected, where I not only feel welcomed by ALL the employees, but they actually go out of their way to assist me in my purchases.

Our family came upon this comic book store several months ago. The first time we came in one of the workers came up behind my daughter and said, "MAAM! You are not allowed to have a drink in here." This scared her and at that time we sort of laughed it off and complied with the rules. Although, the way it was addressed by the worker was totally unnecessary and rude. A little girl should not be frightened by a worker like that. Today, we had the another situation with the same employee. I was going to buy her Batman shoes and she sat down to try one of them on. He walked up behind her and said, "MAAM! You are not going to try shoes on!" She was not only startled, but so was I. Rather than explaining at the time why she couldnt try them on he stood over her like the store body guard. The other employees explained to me that if the shoes didnt fit they could be brought back, but could not be tried on. This makes no sense, but Ill accept the policy. What I wont tolerate is my daughter being startled and scared by a bully employee. We used our gift card for the store today and spent $30 more dollars. That will be the last business we give this store. There are plenty of competitors for us to give our monthly comic book spending allowance on without having to deal with rudeness. Update: I appreciated the manager Tabitha for the apology and hope the employee Josh thinks about the way he handles customers. This is the first time my daughter has ever been reprimanded by anyone, but us because she is taught to conduct herself appropriately. Seeing her in tears over a drink was over the top. She had no idea this was a rule nor did she realize trying on shoes was not allowed. ;)

Ha Ha made your girlfriend cry and you wish them death on the internet. Wow you are a nut case. If it was true that the employee made your girlfriend cry I would expect my boyfriend/girlfriend to kick some butt. And then I would never return but, you come back. So I find that review you posted to be way FALSE. I shop and play games in Gen X. Their Friday Night Magic is the best place around. Their box price beat most internet prices and I dont have to pay shipping. Where else can I buy a case of Magic for $500.00 in DFW. Honestly, I wish they would do away with these reviews. Most are from other store employees trying to make a store look bad. Or a customer that got their feelings hurt when they were not made out to be the best customer ever. But really Im at the store most Friday nights playing Magic I encourage you to come and have fun too. With the money you safe you can buy me dinner. Why on earth would I expect a store in DFW to know the in and outs of San Diego Comic Con. Really dude this is Texas not California. Not all stores do the Con scene I dont expect them to know anything. And the cons in Dallas do a horrible job of advertising. So your rant is way out there in left field. So my best advice is to check out the store. Say hi to me if you come by on a Friday night. You cant miss me I am the cute brunette.
