Not cheap, but Royal Blue is a convenient place downtown to stop in for snacks or beer. I used to live in the AMLI Downtown and always appreciated Royal Blue being so easily accessible so that I didnt have to drive to the grocery story all the time or face the crowds at Whole Foods if I just wanted a snack.

Royal Blue Grocery is my favorite convenient store to stop in downtown. They offer a lil bit everything you need. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Its a bit pricey, but youll find most better products (like speciality, organic, healthier, local foods) not offered at regular convenient stores.

I would drive from all over town for the turkey reuben panini. The best grab-and-go food in town. Starving in line at the Paramount to see a SXSW movie/ACL taping/or near the 360 Building? Run down to the nearby Royal Blue (there are 3!) and have the best in-line picnic a girl could want.

I always like stopping in for their Hair Bender coffee. It is good. Not your typical grocery store, a little pricey, but its downtown and convenient. Great selection of beer, wines, and eats. Be sure to try the Triple Chocolate cookies, if they have any.

You have to love a grocery store in the heart of downtown that stocks everything from milk and cereal to local beer, fine wine and ready-to-eat foods. The staff is eclectic, friendly and efficient.

Over priced of course but such a great little shop to walk in when down second street. Makes you feel like youre in the city of New York with the half convince, grocery and deli style of the place.

You typically wouldnt think a grocery store could be trendy and cool. Theyve figured it out. Great pre made tacos to grab and go. Super busy and very tiny, but it gets the job done.

Way cool local mini-market/convenience store. Lots of imported goods, some deli items, wine, beer. Great for snacks. Prices are a little steep, but not worse than 7-Eleven.
