Another miserable experience from Austin City Powersports. After they made their last mistake right with me after I posted a bad review of them online, I figured I would give them another chance since I had no time to do the work myself. My girlfriend brought them 2 brand new tires and 2 brand new tubes to mount from a KLX110 street bike for a race she had coming up in a few days. They gave her an original estimate of $65 which already seemed high for mounting 2 small 12" wheels, but whatever, we had no time to do it ourselves, needed it done ASAP. Picked up the wheels, everything looks ok, ends up paying $75 to get two tires mounted, not even balanced, an outrageous amount if you ask me. Now here comes the fun part.... We install the wheels, take the bike to the track 3 hours away, and get ready for practice. 20 minutes into riding around the track, just as the tires are getting warm, the rear tire catastrophically blows out in the middle of a turn, and sends me flailing off track at 45mph, causing significant bike damage, as well as damage to my leather suit / helmet / gloves and boots. What could have caused this? Well we take the tire off at the track to get a closer look.... There is absolutely NO rim strip on the wheel, not a single piece of tape, a single piece of rubber, absolutely nothing inside of there. The spoke punctured through the tube, and split it open instantly. You would think that if you paid $75 for a POWERSPORTS store to mount two tires for you, they would at least throw some damn electrical tape around the rim, or even contact you and ask if you would LIKE TO PURCHASE A RIM STRIP???? Complete waste of money and time, AGAIN. Several hundred dollars in damage in racing gear, significant bike damage, all for something COMPLETELY avoidable WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS EVER RETURN TO THIS SHOP FOR ANYTHING WHATSOEVER I run a group of ~300 scooter/small motorcycle riders around Austin, and I will share this experience with EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM to be sure that nothing like this would ever happen to them. NEVER AGAIN Stay away from these guys

I cant say enough good things about these guys, from the very first moment that i walked in these guys were attentive, knowledgeable, patient, as well as helpful. I am a young new rider and had just purchased a bike off of Craigslist, and unfortunately left the bike that he sold me a mess with missing and bad parts(imagine that ). I absolutely loathe going to other big name shops b/c you are generally processed like cattle and are about as respectful as a slap to the face. Having that said these guys took care of me and treated me like a veteran rider and were very up front with me about repairs needed and did not try to up sale me on unneeded parts, they got my bike road ready and gave me the piece of mind that my bike was safe to ride on the street. One of the guys even helped me find jackets that would fit my tall lanky frame, and even took the time to fit me correctly. He then pointed me in the right direction as far as where to get a jacket that would be perfect for me, even though they did not carry that brand in their shop. I would recommend this shop to ANYONE looking for quality motorcycle parts, repair, or just advice. Their techs are extremely knowledgeable and they run a clean shop too.

I found this shop looking to get the fork seals fixed on my 2002 VTX and am I ever so happy that I did. I took my bike over and had them look at it. I met the shop owner and she was very professional and took the time to check the forks and give me a price quote on the spot. While i was there I mentioned to her that I have had an ankle surgery and really wished that I could get a heal toe shifter for my bike. I have tried to get both of the Honda dealerships in the Austin area to help me figure out a good way to get the shifter changed. Jennifer called me the next day and informed me that she could probable use parts off a latter model bike and make it work. She not only made it work it works great. This shop and it's mechanics are simply great. I thought that this kind of customer service was something of the past. Thank you and God Bless.

I have had my yamaha raider serviced at ACP since I purchased my bike used @ 3k. I was referred by a local shop owner (Wes from Motorangutan) and have been well taken care of each visit. I ride about 1k miles per month and the peace of mind that comes from quality work is well worth what they ask. Jennifer always has a cheerful disposition and knows what shes doing. Jackie is professional and takes the time to hear out the customer. Robert the mechanic is obviously passionate about his work (Ive never seen a tech more particular about the details). ACP just moved their shop just a couple blocks up the road to a bigger, better, and safer location on the SW corner of stassney/manchaca If you base your decisions on price you generally get what you pay for... If you base your decisions on character, ACP has a lot of it!

Honestly the best bike shop Ive been to. Theyre new but very attentive. Here are some good points about my experience and things that generally stood out. It might be common to get one or two of these things in other bike shops, but not all of them in one. -Super Friendly -Honest (they didnt try to push repairs that werent needed) -Patient w/ questions -Knowledge on a wide array of bikes (work on anything from Cruisers to Crotch-Rockets, was working on a Buell when I arrived!) -Upfront service (doesnt put you on the backburner, very appreciative of your business) -Thorough (didnt rush my bike through at all) -Some unique products (Stuff you might not find at other places) Benelli bikes for one. Some nice spec edition Shark helmets too. Great experience!

Wow, this place is sooo much better than Woods Fun Center and WAY less costly. Took my V-Star in for clutch repair and what I assumed was a bad stator. Jackie and crew replaced my clutch then determined the stator problem was only a burned wire. They could have easily charged me for a stator that I didnt need but they didnt, and THATS what separates the mechanics at Austin CIty Powersports from those bums at WFC. My bike runs like a brand new one now, and Im 100% satisfied with the quality of work they performed. This is the only place Ill take my bike from now on.

Austin City Powersports offered me a 50% discount on labor in exchange for a 5 star review. I knew something was not right after numerous attempts trying to get them to correct the major service repair problems they created just to run up the total repair bill. Wonder how many other 5 star reviews have been bought & paid for thru their deceptive practices? They are arrogant and rude and I would not refer an enemy to them if they were the only ones in Austin! Stay away from here! RIPOFFS AT BEST!!! They overcharge like crazy (on parts as well as labor).
