I was in the market to buy a car & Drivetime had a car at the Garland Rd & Northwest Hwy location that I was highly interested in. I did the pre approval online then made an appointment to go see the car & meet with a salesman. The following day I visited that location & as I was on a budget for a down payment because the online approval stated my down payment would be as low as $895 so the car that I was actually interested in & what brought me to this location was just out of my budget for the down payment. The salesman Keeton helped me find another car that was located at another one of their locations & he showed me all pictures that are posted online of the car & it looked like it would be a great deal so he had it delivered following day to the Garland location. Keeton called me to let me know that the car had arrived so I had cash in hand & was going to get my "newly purchased Lexus IS 250". Well when I arrived the car was filthy & the pictures were very deceiving as the interior of the car was pretty much trashed. I was very upset & asked to speak about the original car that actually brought me to them to begin with & they were not helpful or remorseful at all. So as I continued to spend my day looking around for something else I contacted the DriveTime location in Arlington & spoke to Jesse (not knowing he was apart of management) but I did not go into detail with him on what happened at their Garland location til I arrived. When I arrived I was greeted by a salesman by the name Roddy and he was so understanding & apologetic on how I was treated by their Garland location. He was very helpful to me. Jesse was also very apologetic & so nice (by the way has a great personality). So I would highly recommend the DriveTime Arlington location over the one in Garland even if it is close to home because I live 20 miles east of Dallas & still drove to Arlington & I am now thankful I did! Thanks again Jesse & Roddy!!

Credit was not something my parents mentioned growing up. Sure they said pay your bills in full and on time. They said dont spend if you dont have it. "Live within your means," dad always said. So we have. Turns out, that leaves a bad taste in the mouths of prospective loans/creditors. Then theres Drivetime. They may charge God awful APR%, & Im just telling it like it is, but they give the working class a chance. We just got our second vehicle from them. Our first, my soccer mom van, was a blessing. I was a medic for Arlington (not fire, but ambulance) & believe it or not, I had to work 100 hours a week to make $45K a year. Then my spine got crushed on a call a year after we got the van. Drivetime worked with us. I lost $35K a year going on disability. Drivetime kept working with us and we paid off on time. So, after much persistence from Moniqua, who shares both my Hubbys bday & personality, & me fighting with my scroogey side, Monday we came home with an SUV I would not have otherwise even looked at. I am a Chevy gal. Always will be. Im also on a terribly strict and small budget with 4 daughters (3 in college this fall), a son, a hubby, a grandson, 2 dogs and 2 kitties. We may be poor, but we are happy. Moniqua did right by us, especially by keeping us away from the 2 vehicles I originally came in to look at. They were older and rickety. We have a warranty for the length of our loan and gap coverage. Its newer, safer, covered, & my teens love it. If they think its great, it must be right? ;) Drivetime and Moniqua were there for us, we got no down, no trade in, & no pymt for a month due to being a repeat customer. If youre like us, Drivetime is worth it. Itll help build your credit and they dont judge and make you feel bad for your status in life. They may not be brand spanking new cars, but they sure treat them as such.

I would not recommend anyone to your place of business ... As soon as you sign on the dotted line .. "Its nothing you can do " or better yet its nothing they will even try to do .... I got my car 8/23/16 then in 9/9/16 the engine light is on and as of this date 9/27/16 its still not fixed because your company and Aeverex are crooks .... Then I come in to get my plates and my last name is spelled wrong and of course Ross says its the tax office fault or mistake and wants me to sign for them just like I signed for and you guys pushed for That horrible, awful after market warranty insurance Aeverex .... That old saying birds of a feather flock together " ... It Is true in the case of Drive Time and Aeverex .... ... I had 4 people that I was sending to them but after the experiences I have had with Drive time and their partners in crime Aeverex ... I would not send my enemy or a person I dislike to them .... I dont care if I can get money for referrals .... Its not worth putting my name anywhere near Drive time or Aeverex . I will never or would never send any recommendations to drive time or Aeverex .They sell trashy cars . We have bought several used cars but we have never had issues with them 2 weeks from purchase date ... Well actually we did but those businesses took care of our problem without hesitation ... But not drive time ... Smh ... They are are quick to pass the buck or drop the ball ...then the customer and mechanic are stuck in middle of the mess of trying to get the vehicle fixed. I was so upset already about being affiliated with drive time and Aeverex because of their shady dealings with problem cars that I just walked out when they tried to give me my license plates with misspelled last name on the tax paperwork...

March 2015: I highly recommend Drive Time. They have good vehicles at reasonable prices. They have affordable financing, flexible down payment options, and are very friendly. I couldnt be happier with my purchase and the process of purchas I no from Drive Time. I would also like to thank Anthony Williams for being honest and thorough. July 2015: After 90 days, my husband and I were ready to make a payment to buy down our interest. We had enough to bring our interest down to just under 2%. The manager had printed a paper for us when we purchased the car that showed interest buy down amounts all the way to 0%. It showed that every $250 we paid in a lump sum before the end of 90 days from purchasing the vehicle would bring the interest down by .5%. When we were ready to pay, they originally said we couldnt because our interest rate was already below 14% or 15%. We were a fraction of a percent under. We complained that we were lead on and they decided to allow us to do the interest buy down but a couple days later told us that we couldnt buy our interest down past 6% or something like that. We could pay as much as we would have liked but it was not going below 6%. The sales group doesnt exactly know the details that the finance group does so they will tell you what they were told but they wont tell you the fine print because they dont even know it. Its a very misleading experience. Overall, we are very happy with our vehicle and not happy with being mislead. I would only get another vehicle through them if I had a large initial down payment and you have NO/BAD credit. That is the only way you will guarantee an extremely low interest rate. Otherwise, youre better off going to a dealership.
