To sum quickly, it was an "eh" experience. Especially as a first time buyer. This would have been fine with me if the reviews matched my experience, but since this not the case (as the average rate is 4.5 stars) I was disappointed with the whole transaction. When they say "as is" for the car, they take it as literally as they can. Car had 1/4 tank of gas left. Also the tire pressure light was on. It needed an oil change. This isnt the end of the world for me to do but you couldnt have your mechanic look at the car to make the quick fixes? I do love the car (2009 Honda Civic) even though Ill need to do about $950 in repairs the first 6 months of purchase (this is including new tires, an overdue oil change and some expected repairs when I reach 100,000 miles). Im mainly disappointed in the sales team. First I worked with Mike who repeatedly called me Sam even though I introduced myself as Samantha (as someone who has sold expensive bridal gowns, this indicated to me that he wasnt listening to me, bad impression when working in sales FYI). He didnt tell me ANYTHING about the cars I test drove or about the company. He also texted me, which Im sure is just for the convenience of the customer but thats a weird personal boundary for me. Just call, its easier in my opinion. It did take a few days to get the car because my dad was a cosigner, we needed to change the car insurance (this is a new mn law) and get it inspected by a mechanic (this was stated in the purchase agreement which I really do appreciate). Also, seems like theres lots of miscommunication. Monday night I get the car, turns out the car is Vicks? Why wouldnt Mike pass me along to Vick then since the civic was his car? I had a lot of questions and thankfully Vick and Mark answered them. Vick said all that was needed was the check after the inspection. I get a text on Tuesday from Mike asking if I picked up the car. Of course I did, he seriously couldnt just check the inventory to find out? Or talk to his coworkers? Wednesday I get the check from my credit union, I call them to give them a heads up. At this time, Jeff is now working with me Im assuming because Mike didnt work nights (as Jeff did a new purchase agreement for me). Jeff says my dad needed to come with because hes cosinging to sign other paperwork. Why didnt Mike already do this? Why didnt Vick mention anything? After having the car for a few days, I realized Jeff didnt give me the second key! I called up and he mailed it over. Why didnt Jeff/Mike/Vick double check to see if my car had another key? This is a place for experienced buyers I would say. I would not recommend for other first time buyers like myself to shop here. Overall though, Im happy with my car and thats all that matters.

I purchased my car on February 13, 2017. When the sales person, Vick, went to retrieve it, he came back and said, “I can’t let you take the car like this.” Turned out, warning lights on the instrument panel were on. That said, he sent it to the shop and I went back on February 14, to pick it up. Before I got in, he told me that I should add some air to the tires because the pressure light was illuminating and if it didn’t go off, give him a call. When I drove away, I noticed that the car had less than ¼ tank of gas, so not only did I need air in the tires but I needed gas. I always thought dealerships sell cars with a full tank as a courtesy. Anyhow, I picked up my husband and we went to the gas station. After turning the car off, it would not start! Called the sales person and luckily, he was nearby so he came and gave us a jump. He told my husband to let him know if this happens again because he would get me a new battery. My husband said, “how about you just get the new battery.” He agreed, so I went back to drop the car off the next morning. When I dropped it off, I told him that the tire light had not gone off, even though we put air in all 4 tires, there was a squeaky noise when the heat is on, and the passenger side speaker is totally blown so I can’t listen to anything. He gave me a loaner car to use and it also had no gas! When I picked it up that evening, I was told that the tire pressure light was on because the tires had been changed, and that caused a problem with the sensor. I was also told that their mechanic checked the squeaking noise but didnt see anything wrong, but he put in a new speaker and a new battery. As it turned out, the only thing that was fixed was the battery. I would’ve understood if they wouldnt fix the speaker, but why lie about it? Lying about something that minor makes me feel like he lied about the mechanic looking at everything else. Last, but not least, the options listed were not correct and the car was not Bluetooth capable. And this was one of the reasons I chose this car.

I purchased my Audi A4 from Midwest Auto Sales a few weeks ago. After my experience with them today, I absolutely had to share a "WOW!" moment I had with them. When I purchased my car, it was contingent on an inspection from my mechanic. The results came back that the car was in "immaculate condition", however, the battery was less than half of what it should be.I asked Midwest Auto Sales if they could replace the battery, and they agreed. Now, when I bought the car, it was sold "as-is", so I wasnt 100% sure if I would end up paying for the battery replacement or not. Anyways, come today, I pulled into the dealership, and immediately I was greeted by a super friendly employee named Clay (if I messed up your name, Im sorry!). He was super charismatic and said they would get right to work on replacing the battery. The timing was great because the car was having trouble starting right away in the cold, and the forecast called for really, really cold temperatures. So 20 minutes later, theyre all done, and I was able to finish up some work in their lobby. They let me know if there are any issues, to let them know, but that I was ready to go. They saved me from paying an extra $350-375 for new battery, even when the car was sold as-is. That extra step caused me to write this review so others would know of their good deed. Im incredibly happy with my buying experience, and I would absolutely recommend this dealer to anyone interested in a new car. Thank you Midwest Auto Sales!!
