It was the first time I visited any of Whole Food Market stores, and overall, I didnt care about it. I did like the separate covered parking lot. I was happy to find fresh dill, which seems to be impossible to get around here. Other than that I couldnt really see any variety of foods. The store was very small, not as I expected at all. My Asian husband found a few items for himself. As for me, being from Eastern Europe and vegetarian, it was a waste of time. I dont know if they really had any vegetarian meat there, but I walked all over the place and didnt find any. Same thing at the buffet, all soups are with chicken, very very few meals are for vegetarians. Hated those vegan mushrooms and tofu I chose. I was shocked that it was raw mushrooms, no preparation what so ever, same with tofu, huge chunks were barely cooked. Most of the meals were stone cold as well, not awful in taste but just cold and bla. For the price of $8.49 per pound, I think they could do much better. Especially if they propagate healthy eating, sorry, this is not how you cook tofu. We also purchase long French baguette bread, which happened to be hard as rock, I almost broke my knife cutting it and then my jaw, trying to eat it. I tried to steam it in microwave but it didnt help at all. It was Sunday night, so I felt like that bread was there all week, just ridiculous how hard and dry it was. To top it all, although the majority of the staff was really nice, the guy at the check-out annoyed me, he just wouldnt shut up, talking about things I didnt care at all. He also shook my buffet tray, when I asked him twice not to, as he would mix my meals together, and he shook it even more after that on purpose. So anyway, pricewise the place is no bad, but in terms of food, very little to choose from. I am not sure if I am going there again in my lifetime. At least not to this location.

I go to the Whole Foods in Green Hills weekly, almost always early Saturday and Sunday morning, but occasionally in the afternoons (this only makes a difference, I think, because of what’s available at the hot bar). I buy my meat here because of the animal-treatment rating system, and they have good, reasonably priced local pork sausage with a 5+ rating and ground beef with a rating of 4. Their prepared burgers, like the cowboy burgers, used to be favorites, and are probably still delicious, but Ive been cutting down on meat and havent had them in months. I buy fresh fruit here as well (apples, berries, cherries) and local heirloom tomatoes — I am very happy with the taste. From the deli, the vegan mock-crab cakes are fantastic, and universally preferred by my guests for dinner, very few of whom are vegetarians, over real crab cakes that have had in the past. Other prepared foods, like kale salads, and items from the food bars, including BBQ are all very good (but I miss pork ribs, which I haven’t seen in the hot bar for quite a while). I’m happy with the bakery — I will get the ciabatta bread, apple and cheery pies, and the mini tarts and mini cakes for dinners. The vegan oatmeal walnut scones were among the best, if not the best, scones in Nashville, but they haven’t been available for months. Other favorite products are the 365 chunky peanut butter and Seventh Generation unbleached paper towels, which seem expensive, but are a dense roll that lasts. The staff is almost always superb -- helpful and friendly.

If you want something fresh for sushi or juice bar go for them in the morning not afternoon. Yesterday I bought a cup of fresh squeezed juice but got sick because the cut apples pieces used for making the juice are exposed to the air for too long. I got sick many time after eating their sushi. So I had never purchased one since last year. Sevices are used to be very good until a lot of new faces come this year. One of the reasons I like wholefoods is that I can return things that I dont want and they even dont ask a question when I return it. Even if their price is higher than other stores I still use it as my primary grocery store and spend over $1000 per year in this store. But today when I returned several items all together the customer service staff seems to be not nice. I used to return items that I dont like immediately. But since last year I tried to keep them at home for a longer time hoping that I can eat them. So this time I return about 7 items that I really dont like and they have stayed at my home for a while. My returning experience is not good today. I probably will reduce the time I visit wholefoods in the future.

Having worked for the company, this is the worst location I have ever been. The employees have no personality and the ones that do are just rude and enthused. We shop here weekly because unfortunately it is the only place with certain items we need, but I wish we had a better option locally. Tried the hot bar 15+ times for the convenience and every time is a disappointment. It is poorly kept and rarely checked, the soup station is an absolute disaster. The food is often times not fresh and is apparent not only by appearance and quality, but by the fact that if I come in on a Thursday, it is still in the hot bar on Sunday. That is unacceptable for the amount of $$ per pound that is charged. I have given up on buying fresh produce here because it often goes bad within a day or two. The best part of this whole foods is in the front there is a gelato bar, which is always well kept and delicious. Otherwise, avoid this &$%&show at all costs.

I have been a loyal customer for many , many years. I traveled for work and would look for a whole foods in the area. I was almost always satisfied with the quality and service. I visited this store on Sunday July 12th with my sister who had just flown in from Scottsdale Arizona. I live 2 hours from Nashville so we stocked up and brought our freezer bags to ensure what we purchased would make the ride. Our checkout experience was so disappointing. The cashier "Megan" had a horrible attitude and seem to be put out that we requested to have our freezer and refrigerated items placed in these bags, She is a poor example and representation of whole foods and I hope management looks at her closely. I did not say anything while I was in the store , especially since I was there for over 2 hours but as my sister and I talked on the way home we both felt the same way.

At whole foods there is a form that one can fill in about products, questions, etc. I have left my phone number on a number of occasions and NO ONE has ever called me back. EVER! I waste my time filling out forms with no response. Also, if a product continually is sold out, that means its popular, right? But with such products Whole Foods Greenhills STOPS ordering them! I can see that this might save the buyer some work but other than that, discontinuing popular products makes no sense. It is an INSULT to customers to think that wasting their time filling out forms is "customer service". But except for their discontinuation of favorites, I like Whole Foods, hence the 3 stars. It is customer service that fails.
