Hello everyone, We went to apple store in Nashville today. I wanted to see what I am buying before I order my Mac Pro online. When we entered the store, one very cold person came next to us. When I said, I am going to order my computer online but first I wanted to see the product and that is why we came here today. He lost his interest in us I guess, he left saying "well, press this button when you need me." He did not want to stay with us and spend his time I guess. We said, ok then. I guess he thought he wont be getting any commission here so why to spend time with us for nothing. We started spending time trying to understand the computers in the store. Well, let me tell you that I have not used any Mac before (I have always used pc) and I really needed help. Then, someone came next to us asking if we needed any help. I thought, I guess he was the same kind of person and he would say, "when you need help, press this button." Thinking that, I said ok I know, when I need help I will click here and you will come. However, he said, no I like to help you and show you what you need to see. I said, ok then but I will buy online not here and I only wanted to see what I am buying. He said, very well, and I like to answer all of your questions and I will stay here incase you need help. We were happy, and started asking multiple questions to him. I was thinking, oh my God, I am taking all of his time. I am not sure how many times I told this to him. But he said, not at all, I am so happy to help you.We asked and asked and he never lost his excitement in helping us. Do you know what? I could not be happier. Thank you Mr. Troy. Now I know, what I am buying before I spend thousands of dollars for a MacBook Pro. You are awesome. He knew I was not going to buy anything tonight in this shop. All I wanted was to see and learn. I am sure, these unhappy people who posted their reviews here have not met you yet. I think I got lucky today. You even made my grandma so happy that she is even thinking of buying a Mac in the future, and she has never used a computer other than a pc before and that will be a very big change for her. I am sure you can imagine. Well, finally, this five star is only for you Mr. Troy. All the best, -Denise

After waiting a good 15mins what seamed to be a nice girl approached me and ask how she can help me. Exited I told her that I was there to buy and ipad. She stated which one do I want. I told her the $500.00 one. Then she proceeded to tell me everything I cant do on the ipad. Luckily for me I had done my research and I knew she was either grossly misinformed or just plain out telling me a story. First she said that I will be unable to use the ipad on my phone that acts as a wifi router. So I showed her in the store. Then she said with affirmation that I will not be able to send pictures via wireless to my ipad so I told her about eye fi and shutter snitch. Then I ask her if they had a case preferably with a strap. Instead of saying yes and showing or no. She said Im sorry we cant take the cases out of the box. WHAT!!! is what I said in my mind. So I ask her again. She still did not answer my question. She stated you will probably want to get third party items for that. She then managed to get the words out of her mouth that Maybe the ipad is not the right thing for me. The Girl Who Knows Nothing about the product she is selling me is now not only showing her ignorance on the product, but trying not to sell me anything in the store. I pulled out a wad of cash and ask her to please just get the ipad so I can purchase it. She did. I left the store wishing I could have spent more money. Can you believe that. If I did not want the ipad so badly I would not have bought one. I left allot out of this review because i am not writing a novel just a short story :). The sad thing is I had a bad feeling when I left the store that stayed with me for about a week. APPLE Please address. your store. I am new to apple and I know you guys are better than that.

Video card failed on my MacBook. I took it to The Green Hills Apple Store for repair. The store wasnt busy, but I had to go through a silly sign in process, and was told I would be paged when a genius was available. I looked at the clerk blankly but played along. Immediately I receive two messages back-to-back saying 1) a genius will be ready soon and 2) a genius is ready. Sigh. So silly. Genius confirmed the MacBook was bricked, and they shipped it off for repairs. I received a Repair#. I followed the progress of the repair through the week. The FedEx tracking for the repair showed that the store received my laptop at 10am. I arrived at 2pm and the genius asked if I had received an email. I said no, but I have a tracking confirmation that you have my laptop in the back of the store, and I really need it. He said you will receive an email when its ready. I said when? He said he had no idea. I said well I am here now, Apple confirmed it was fixed, and I have confirmation that it is in your back room, why the wait? He said you will receive an email when it is ready. I say but it is ready. You will receive an email. Three hours later, sitting in the store and nothing. No one has offered to help. [edit: after three and a half hours of waiting with geniuses walking past ignoring, one genius who understood the difference between good process and bad process asks if Ive been helped. I told him the story, he goes to the back, brings me my laptop, and I walk out of the store with my laptop.] My dislike of Apple increases year-by-year. Such stiff, bureaucracy for a tech company is ridiculous. The veneer of cheery hipness at the Genius Bar with Apples underlying contempt for people is disgusting. Boo.

Ive been to this store several times, and never had a bad experience. I definitely recommend making an appointment with a Genius if youre having a problem with an Apple product. I made an appt yesterday for my iPod touch that mysteriously stopped working. Obviously I was upset, and a Genius tried to see if he could restore it using a couple tests including hooking it up to their computer system. Well the thing was dead, so he said my best option is to trade it in and get the same model (2009 32GB) for half price, which I thought was a pretty good deal - better than Apple offers online. (The other option was to get 10% off a current 4th generation iPod touch, which would only save me $30 instead of $150.) Overall it was a good experience (even though my iPod was inoperable), and I would go there again if I ever have a similar problem. In response to some bad reviews... I understand the whole "elitism" thing that frustrates people about Apple & Steve Jobs - its annoying. But that doesnt mean their products are bad or that they dont offer superior service to PC companies like Dell. I had a Dell and had problems with it, and their service was not nearly as good as Apple. It sounds like some of these reviews are just people who are angry because something is wrong with their Apple products; but all electronics have problems sometimes. I had an Android phone that crashed within a year of buying it, and T-mobile had to replace it. Ive accepted the fact that electronics are going to be finicky and never perfect. I just dont think its fair to take out all your frustrations on this specific store.
