On a recent visit to our local Bass Pro Shop, my husband and I were interested in looking at a new Nitro Boat. We were helped by a salesman named Austin. He informed us that the particular boat we were interested in had been discontinued from the Nitro line. He did try to locate a model for us and was unable to determine if it was still available. He promised to call us the next day with what he found and took our contact information. Up to this point our interaction sounds like a good one. Right? We mentioned to him that we would possibly like to trade in our old boat. His comment was "wed have to see it to see if we would take it." Signs all over the floor say "We take trade ins" . So do you or not? Granted, we understand the trade in offer might not be what we feel it is worth but it was as if " yea we might take a trade or we might not." We are discussing buying a $25,000 boat here! Be a bit more excited to work with us. His parting words were I will call you guys tomorrow. The next day my husband waited to recieve a call regarding the availability of the boats we discussed, or any boat that might be still available to siut our needs. The call never came. We are very disappointed by this interaction!! We shop there quite a bit and travel over an hour each trip we take to go there. Had the call came we were prepared to put down a deposit and come back over to look at and buy a new Nitro. Previously, in other departments, we have been treated as if we were the only customer needing help. Our requests have been quickly answered and follow ups been completed curtiously. This experience has left a bad taste especially in light of the type of purchase we were about to make. Had we had a salesperson who was excited to get us into a boat of our chioce we might already be on the lake in our new boat. Instead, we are searching for other brands and other options in regards to purchasing our first EVER brand new bass boat. After years of buying used boats, we finally made the decision to purchase a new model and encountered this experience. It is extremely disappointing! Bass Pro, you dropped the ball here. Where do we stand now? We are headed out to look at a new Stratos, Trittion, Ranger, and Skeeter . Nitro who???

Ive never really cared for BPS, but I called the store in Kodak, TN to see if they had an item in stock before making the trip. I called once and the women answering the phone snickered when I asked for a department to see if they stocked an item. She said she would transfer me, but instead hung up. I called back and she told me she couldnt get that department to answer so could she take a message. I told her I just needed to see if they had the item, she said BPS did stock the item, but I would have to come to the store to see if they had it in stock. I told her that was why I was calling so I wouldnt waste a trip. She said"hold on", then hung up on me. What customer service. Ill never buy anything else from them.

Bass Pro shops are an outstanding place to go and spend time. There service is great they do not push you to make a sell. The associates always greet you with smile and do all they can to help your visit is the best that it can be. Even when the store first opened and was really crowed the associates did all the time it toke to help everyone. The store has a vast supply of stock anything from a boat to a little dry fly. One of many things that impressed me was the atmosphere. There indoor aquarium that has all different types of fish, which includes bass, trout, and alligator gar. There are all different types of stuffed animals from all around the world. Bass pro is a great place to have fun and spend money.

Place is nice, but buy a boat somewhere else. If you like the Nitros like I did there are local dealers that sell them. There service is probably the worst I have ever seen. 1st there is no reason as large as Bass Pro is that no one answers the service dept line. Ok there busy leave a message and they will get back to you. 4 hours later after another nasty message I get a phone call. Was not nasty just explained my problem. 2 weeks to repair. Fine. Its just the way he talked to me. Im a 56 year old man that spent $35000.00 on a boat from you. This is the third time I had to bring it in. Also the 3rd time I had to call numerous times to get a response. Maybe it just me. But beware

Good selection of merchandise, clean store, and competitive prices but customer service was terrible. My kids wanted to play the shooting range game, but the coin machine was broken. When we asked a worker where we could get change she rudely told my husband "down by the front door where you in". We also wanted to try on some clothes, the fitting rooms were locked and we waited for 10 minutes AFTER ringing the bell, the attendant never came. Finally, the people using the other fitting room held the door for us, so we could use that one. All in all, I would go back if I had a need, but cant recommend this store.

Met with the service manager, horrible attitude, made it clear that I was bothering him, told me that he wouldnt work on my outboard motor because it was to old, which I do understand as parts can be challenging to find. But being the observant person I am, they had new Tahoe boats lined up, at least 20, waiting to be serviced.. why on earth would i spend $30,000 on a new boat for it to sit in the shop for weeks waiting on service??? not impressed at all and would never bring anything there for service.. the rest of the store rocks..

The new one in the East Ridge area is small. It does not have a restaurant or even the coffee shop inside. I love the coffee shop in Seviereville, TN. Also, we went to get a kayak at our local store and they had only received 2 that were in the sales paper and they were sold early. I called this location and the were very happy to help. They put one on hold for us as we drove up and had 10 in stock. When we got there everything was ready for us. We absolutely love this store and its helpful staff.

I love the place but if the parking lot doesnt give me a headache every time we visit. I understand its a busy happening place. Maybe its the goofy red lights and traffic flow. The one way in and out doesnt really help. I dont know, the layout is weird. For that it gets 4. ...but my experience inside is a 5 maybe 6. I always have my questions answered by someone who really seems to like their job, is knowledgeable, and is just really really nice. Thank you for hiring good people.
