What Im driving now: 2015 4-Door Mazda3 i Touring w/Tech Package Ty Johnson - Product Specialist - the guy who not only sold me on the car but was instrumental to locking in my loyalty to Nelson Mazda. The actual process of me buying the car took around 3 days due to my work schedule. Ty got there early for me and stayed late. He went above and beyond my expectations in every single way. He knew what I was prepared to buy and what I had my eye on. Ty quickly recognized that I had done my research and instead of trying to sell me a vehicle, he allowed me to take control of the sale. Ty made sure I had 3 different trim levels waiting on me when I got to the dealership at 7:45 p.m. (they close at 8 p.m.). I knew that I wanted the i Touring w/ Tech Package but had opted to test drive the "more sensible choice" and we went off in a Mazda3 i Sport. Ty let me ask the questions the whole time, made a few mentions of some things I hadnt thought of and let me enjoy driving the car. Side note: Whoever mapped out the test drive route for Nelson deserves a reward. I literally felt like I was driving through what can only be described as a mixture between a Thomas Kinkade painting, a Game of Thrones backdrop, and Middle Earth. Beautiful route! Once we finish the test drive, I ask to look at the trunk (I carry around a lot of production gear and that was one of my big concerns) and ultimately decided against the 5-Door and realized the 4-Door would have more than enough space. I didnt even test drive the other 2 vehicles, I had made up my mind (or settled on what would be a good and reliable car). Ty talks price and financing with me briefly (its getting late and theyve been closed for like 20 minutes) and I mention that what I knew I couldnt afford but what I really wanted was the i Touring with Tech and it had to be black cloth with black exterior. Turns out they had one, and Ty goes and grabs it and pulls it around. I take a look at it and of course its the vehicle I wanted the whole time but knew it would be a bit out of my price range. I ask to sleep on it and wanted to see if I could come back in the morning. Ty ends up giving me his mobile and tells me "just text when youre on your way and I will be here waiting" Skip to next morning, I text Ty on my way in to work and tell him I want to get the i Touring and have a price Id like to offer, I also tell him I need financing options at a decent rate and I want only $750 for my trade-in (I named it Lemmy the Lemon if that is enough of an indicator as to why I just wanted the car gone. It was also Found On Road Dead with me chanting 4 letter spells to bring it back to life on several occasions). I get to the dealership that morning. We move fast from there. I have about 45 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes over lunch with about 45 minutes after work before they close again. In that time, I got approved for financing, got all my rebates for the car I wanted at the price I negotiated for, I got everything moved from my old car to the new car, was offered WAY more than I had asked for on my trade-in, signed all my paper work, and had almost all of my financing paperwork finished (was unsure about the GAP coverage and its cost, which is actually pretty cheap and totally worth getting). Ty exceeded my expectations for a sales experience and worked himself to the bone to ensure that I rode out of that dealership in my ideal Mazda at an ideal price. If anybody ever reads this Stephen King novel of a review, GO TO TY. Seriously, if Ty ended up moving to Alaska to sell Mazdas, Id consider going out there to have him sell me another car when it came time to retire the one I just bought. Bottom line, this dealership is the exception to every negative thing youve ever heard about a new car buying experience. Nelson Mazda of Cool Springs is the next level in customer service.

I did most of the pre-work myself. I wanted a specific car, with a specific year/mileage and searched the internet in a 500 mile radius to find the FJ Cruiser I wanted. Car gurus listed a "Good Deal" in Franklin Tennessee, and I loved the photos. So I spoke with them for a few days, making sure they would work with my bank as I had financing lined up, and theyd take that payment without issues (other dealers wont, and throw a fit if you dont use their financing options). They assured me they could. I worked out everything from the bank side, and waited for the weekend, praying they didnt sell it. When Saturday morning arrived, the car was still there, so they held it for me while I drove in (arriving 3 hours later). They worked with me on my trade in, despite knowing I probably wasnt going to say no driving in from so far out. Josh introduced me to Cassie, we drove the car around, she was awesome. Engaging and informative. Helpful with everything. I loved the car, and took it home 2.5 hours later. Chris took me through finance and gave me some free national tire service since I wasnt close enough to take advantage of the "routine maintenance on the house" package they give the locals! It just felt nice, nobody pressured me, but at the same time they were accommodating and helpful. They are even mailing me my garage door opener that I left in my old car! (oops!) One note, says that I considered a Mazda, I didnt. There isnt an option to say I was buying a pre-owned Toyota FJ Cruiser. I was, I love it. Drove it back, it was the smoothest ride Ive ever been in. Truly a great vehicle that was taken care of! They get 5 stars because I cannot give them 6!

The sales experience was wonderful. We bought an used car at the dealership and the process was very smooth, and did not take all day. The sales person was courteous, and professional. The sales manager took care of all the paperwork quickly and with care to detail. The problems have arrived while we have waited for a title. Our 30 day tags will expire tomorrow. I called this morning and spoke to Manuel ( a sales manager I was told) who told me that the title was coming from the state of Tennessee, and could take another 15 days. He was going to mail me another 30 day tag. Well, he lied to me. All of a sudden, the duplicate title that they applied to get from the state of GEORGIA, appeared on his desk. He is now mailing me the title. I DO NOT appreciate being lied to, especially by a manager. Poor professionalism, and not appreciated by this one-time only customer!! UPDATE: The owner of the dealership called me yesterday afternoon to discuss this issue. He stated that he had looked into all the facts pertaining to our title problem. He verified that the title, another 30 day tag, and all other pertinent paperwork was in an overnight letter to me. He assured me that the dealership tries to make the buying process a good one, and wanted to make sure that we were ok. The title and all paperwork arrived this morning, and we were able to get the plates for the car. I appreciated the extra effort taken by the owner to contact me personally. That shows professionalism. I have changed the stars from 2 to 4, but I still think that the manager could have used other phrases or words in speaking to me.
