I bought a 2007 Nissan Titan from here at the beginning of July 2014. The check engine light was on and I was told they, at Roadstar, had just rebuilt the engine and they simply needed to reset the light - it would all be fine. I was assured and reassured that the engine light would be taken care of. When I started the car, it began to smoke. The in-house mechanic said "its fine, we just put seafoam and the white smoke was a byproduct of it cleaning blah blah". Not even a week later the engine light came on again and it was still smoking. I returned to the store and was told to go to Auto Zone and get a free readout, bring it back to them, and whatever it was they would fix it. When I brought them the results, they kept the truck overnight, said it was a bad seal and it was fixed. A week later, the light was on again and it was STILL smoking... I took it back to them. This time they did the check engine light readout and said, "oh, its just the O2 sensor. You buy the part and well fix it." Rather than count on their shoddy work and excuses for it not being resolved this time, I just replaced it myself rather than deal with their hassle again. I couldnt reset the check engine light, however, so it remained on. I had returned several times to the dealership for the light to be taken care of, but they refused and said they werent going to do anything more. In the 4 months that I have had it, it has never stopped smoking on startup. Ive now taken it to the Nissan dealership and found that it was a bad manifold, causing a leak that set off the O2 sensor engine code. I would never buy, suggest, refer or even think about buying a car from this place again. Also, they do offer "financing", but no matter the amount you finance, your payment will always be $400 a month - what a joke.

I bought a 2001 honda civic from the dealership. I called the place first to see what they could offer as I was looking at different cars at the time. When I got to the dealership the salesman "Jose" came out and was like "oh yeah, the car drives great. Weve driven it back and forth for more than 50 miles and theres absolutely nothing wrong with it..." I turned it on and the car started good, but had a ticking noise, nothing bad (valvetrain noise) so I commented oh that sound... And Jose said" just some screws, just need to be tightened up..." Like Im dumb -.- really? Screws in your engine that need to be tightened up... Anyway I didnt mind that. I took it for a lap and the owner had somebody go with me. And the car ran fine, no lights on the dashboard or anything. So I bought the car Cash from them, because I hate being in debt.. The next day after purchasing the car the check engine light came on, I called the salesman and told him about it. He said the car was bought as is so go ahead and fix it yourself.. (Ive purchased cars before) i know dealers just reset the lights on the dashboard for you to buy it... But i told him about it and he negated it. He went as far as calling me dumb for not "testing, verifying that the car was in good shape" suggesting i should have brought a mechanic with me to check everything on the car. Like I cant trust dealerships now, I guess? Anyway the next day I took it to a Mechanic and there was 1- an electrical problem in the fuse box 2- thermostat had to be replaced 3- the catalytic converter had to be replaced I dont think those 3 things magically came on 1 day after I bought the car for no reason.. Will never buy again from them, they seem nice but in the end what matters is what they sell you. Would not recommend. Would not buy again.

I am the wife of a Mexican immigrant. He is a resilient worker. Making minimum wage as a dishwasher in the early 2000s. When Alicia was a baby, a nice man showed my husband how to hang drywall, juan would go with him day in and day out for weeks, for $50 $25 sometimes nothing...for just the opportunity to learn... he showed him how to make custom made frame, drywall etc He saw a market...Hes now very skilled, he can build anything. Keep in mind he only got to the 5th grade before having to quit school. He Works long hours and comes home with stains on his hands and tears in his clothes. Hes not flashy, he carries a tattered wallet and hes humble. He manages his money and has a savings, doesnt believe in being wasteful..but he would give his last $5 to someone in need. He never has a wad of money in his pocket, but we get by decently. I admittedly was embarrassed for him, and enraged at the treatment we recieved today, from ROADSTAR AUTO SALES. When a car salesman just walked away from us at just a glance, telling us come back when we could afford something.. without even a word from us. Juan instructed me to let it go, to find someone deserving of a sale... then he would pay cash for that Chevy..he said it would be easy to humiliate the guy that walked away, but God would take care of him. Then he pulled out his money, and counted his hundreds, RIGHT THERE... the man was gawking.. as we got in the car.. he started jogging our way... I got a kick out of that. Dont ever Judge the book by its cover.
