My family and I came here for dinner yesterday and were sat right away. We sat at our table for ten minutes with multiple servers walking by, including the host walking past multiple times while seating people and nobody acknowledged us. Then a 6 top got sat behind us and the table got greeted right away by their server. I turned around and asked the server if our server was coming over and that we had been sitting there for ten minutes. Being a server for a few years I tried to be calm and understanding but the whole experience went downhill from here. If I walked past another servers tables while working and I saw they havent been greeted I would go in the back and ask whos table it was and tell them that they had been sitting there and havent been greeted. I guess the servers working that day were all oblivious. The server greeting the table behind us told us that she was gonna finish getting the tables drink order then find out who our server was. She had very short dark hair. She then goes up to our server, missy, who was cleaning off tables the whole time we were sitting there. Missy then goes in the kitchen and grabs her book and server tray. When she comes over she introduces herself and didnt apologize whatsoever. She gets our drink order and food orders together. Then takes another five minutes to return. Ive always been taught that a table should have their drinks within two minutes. I feel like thats pretty much a standard thing at restaurants. If I was in the situation myself I wouldve gotten my tables drinks in a hurry then went back and put their order in. That didnt seem to be the case. Our salads came out 20 minutes later then our food followed right behind it. When she came over with our food my sisters drink was completely empty and the rest of ours were half way empty. She said she would be right back with our refills. Then she went and took a large parties order, by this time all of our drinks were empty. She comes up to our table after taking their order and tells us that she will bring our drinks after putting in that tables order. Ive worked at 3 different restaurants and Ive learned that if a persons drink is halfway full that you should bring them a refill or atleast ask them if they want another??? We had to almost finish our meals without anything to drink. I was extremely disappointed. I dont know if its because missy is an older server and they do things differently but we will not be returning. Awful experience.

We went to celebrate Mothers Day at the Cracker Barrel in murrells inlet with a party of 11. When we arrived we were told that we needed the whole party here before they would sit us. We informed them that the 2 people that were not here this minute will be in less then 5 min. They refused to sit us. Less then 10 minutes later the other 2 in our party showed up we were then told it would be 25-30 minutes before we would be seated.? Why not put us down to hold a block of tables when we first arrived and tell us at that pint it would 20-30 min. We ended up being there over 45 min. Before being seated at that point it was to late to go any where else as it was coming into prime breakfast time and we would end up waiting there. The attitude of the seating staff was like " we know your not going to leave at this point so you will have to wait " when we did get seated we were split into 2 tables so much for sharing mothers breakfast together. I feel the staff should have taken our name at time of entry and put us down for the table when it became available. My family felt like we were jerked around unnecessary. Your staff also seemed extremely overwhelmed by the fact they are in the service industry and out breakfast was ver unorganized at best.

Took my grandson there last night because he loves mamas pancakes. I ordered a cheesebuger, my wife ordered country fried steak, and my grandson mamas pancakes. My wife ask for water and got sweet tea. When her meal came the biscuits and corn bread was so hard and stale you could use them to drive nails with them. They must have been back there since Sunday. Anyway when got to the regristsr to pay the bill I noticed she charged me for the sweet tea that we never ordered. Also my wife brought the stale cornbread to the register. I told the cashier we did not order the ice tea and she called for the manager. My wife showed him the stale cornbread. He said he just took fresh biscuits and cornbread out of the oven. I think we were a 1/2 hour to early. My bill was 34.00 after we told him we were never coming back he gave us 14.00 off the bill. I do not know what is going on there, but we had been going there a lot and never had a problem, until last night. Even the cashier told him we were regulars. Last time for me at Cracker Barrel.

Went to dinner tonight with my husband and 2 children. Our server came to get drink orders and then told us that there would be another server taking care of us. She finally came and said are you ready to order. No customer service. Never even knew her name. Luckily I can read and her name was Tia. She took our order. When the food came out she forgot 2 of our sides and had to go back to gethe them. When she returned back to check on us she dropped our check off and never returned again. Wouldve like to get a coffee and dessert but she was gone. Food was good as usual but really feel like the service has dropped alot. The restuarant was clean but it was so cold inside. Cold enough that it was very uncomfortable. Thats one way to get someone to but a sweater from the gift shop.

Worst service ever. Took approximately 30 minutes to get food, never got biscuits. I asked for a small salad and she suggested todays special, when it came it was covered in chicken, I am a vegetarian. It was never mentioned that it was a chicken salad. Didnt bring ketchup until asked twice. Never came back to the table during 30 minute wait, then took food to wrong table first. Awful experience. Restaurant was almost empty and still took unacceptable amount of time to get food. Manager walking around, never notice how long we sat waiting. Never return.

We recently visited this restaurant while on vacation and the service was absolutely terrible. My father asked for a refill on his drink and the waitress rolled her eyes, turned around and mockingly told the other waitress, "he wants a drink" while rolling her eyes again. I couldnt for the life of me understand why we were treated so rudely. We ate quickly and left. We will never eat here again. We tip big but not that day, that waitress needs a new career choice!!

I have always loved Cracker Barrel but today was not one of the best. Meat was dry (turkey and ham). Thanksgiving plate. Cornbread dressing had too much sage. The waitresses looked exhausted. Today might not be a good day to try to rate it but I did eat there today. Lots and lots of people. Very organized as far as getting small groups in and out. Therefore the 3 stars. Large groups seemed like they were waiting longer. Overall a so so visit.
