This mom and pap shop is wonderful for great Japanese items. Im a regular and tend to go every Sunday. If you go on Sunday you will get delicious sushi and mochi. The customer service is great. What I love most is their Kimochi. They make it themselves and it reminds me of Hawaiian Kimchi. Its a must buy and try. I think its the best kimchi around, so I buy it every Sunday. I love their items. Its a must go to place if you love Japanese stuff. Im Japanese and I love this place. Thank you for everything you sweet humble people! Dont forget to come to Teriyakin!

For some reason my daughter wanted to check out some Japanese stuff and we stumbled on this place. Its small, but packed with fun stuff. They had lots of distinct japanese items that thrilled my daughter. I had no idea what half the stuff was, but the staff was very helpful and willing to explain anything. Its definitely fun to check out for a little cultural trip and some fun candies and drinks that youve probably never seen before.

This review has been long overdue! At this little store, you can find Japanese vegetables, soup ingredients, seafood, candy, and much more, for a reasonable price! Ive been there almost 10 times, and I have also taken multiple friends there. They are now regular customers like me! If you have an interest in Japanese food and culture, and feel that Grand Asia Market is way too big and crowded, this is the place to shop!

Very nice place. This is the only real Japanese store in the triangle area that I know. Its a small shop but you can find pretty much all the basic Japanese grocery stuff like rice, nori, furikake, noodles, miso amongst other things. On Sundays if you spend over I guess $30 dollars you get couple of delicious homemade sushi for free. I definitely recommend this place.

This place is tiny but with big heart! The old grandma who runs the store is friendly. They give you free stuff for spending $10 and up, which Im pretty sure the amount of free food she gives could cost just as much if they were trying to make money out of it. So rare to see a place like that these days. Please help support a biz like this. :)

Just the absolute best place for all your Japanese Goods. The owner is an absolute sweetheart. I implore you if you are interested in Asian goods (food, niknacks, snacks, and cold items) come here. The shop isnt huge but what it is stocked with is absolutely amazing and theres quite a bit of it considering the shops size.

This is the only place in almost all North Carolina to get a quality Japanese selection. Asia Markets can barely compare. Many other Japanese people I know will make a long drive to come here. I think people are dissapointed about the service just because its not set up like a conventional grocery store.

I love this place!! Best candy and biggest selection of high quality Japanese skin care products in the Raleigh area. They have JuJu Aquamoist and Hada Lobo lines which are nearly impossible to find unless youre willing to order online. Finding this store was an exciting surprise.

Fantastic selection and a great place to shop. I found a number of okonomiyaki ingredients for well below what Ive paid for them elsewhere. On top of that, the store owner will hand out some free sushi, at least for the big purchases. Ill be shopping here from now on

Prices are a little high compared to local grocer, but you will not find most items at the grocery store. Most items seem to be directly imported from Japan. We received fresh sushi and other treats with our purchase, as did everyone ahead of us in line.

Amazing grocery store. Grand Asia is in town, but I prefer to make the trip to Raleigh for this store. They have Japanese food you cannot find elsewhere. A must visit for my Miso paste needs.
