Youll find your standard beach shops with tourist junk as a majority of the shops here. There are some nice gems here like Ritas Italian ice. Also there is sometimes live music which is fun. Close to the beach and the splash pad. Edited down 1 star to 3 star. There is what appears to be an information desk right at the parking lot where what basically amounts to an annoying high pressure salesmen sits and peddles a product which I actually have no idea what it is. This trip alone we have visited 3 times and every time have had to fend these salesmen off. One time was fine, it was a nice lady who ended up just making small talk, but the other 2 times we were met by a man who basically wouldnt politely let you out of a conversation so you eventually just had to walk away while he continued to talk at the back of your head making you somehow feel like a jerk. This shopping center needs to do away with this booth or at minimum enact strict rules for how they engage with the shopping patrons.

Coligny was state of the art 40yrs ago. Great location and good shops. The stores with their low 8ft ceilings from the 1960s and aging exteriors are overdue for a major makeover. If this shopping center was located in a more progressive community, it would be torn down and rebuilt resulting in a better amenity for Hilton Head and would be more attractive and profitable. It appears current owners lack foresight and are riding this revenue property down as long as they can. Big Bamboo and Frosty Frog made nice additions and Steamer has kept up, but the rest is an aging, crowded retail center attracting lower income than the location warrants. Envision what a newly constructed attractive retail center would do to transform the image and desirability of this part of the island. The sooner the better.

All your beachy needs in one place. Park and walk to grocery (Piggly Wiggly, worth one trip while youre there), jewelry, clothes, cupcakes, seafood restaurants, ice cream, candy, Carolina Wine Tasting Room, all kinds of restaurants, all price levels, lots of souvenir shops with enough HHI tshirts to carpet the beach, and all no more than a block from the beach, some literally across the street or backing up to the beach near the public access area. Thats a lovely area with swings, showers, chairs, public restrooms, all very nice. If youre wondering where you should eat with all the new eateries and older ones as well, check out the Savor the Low Country Food Tours for a fun afternoon of tastings at 4-5 places.

“Very fun!” This is walking distance from the beach and it has a lot of really cool shops! The restrooms were nice and clean. The shop owners were not very friendly per say didnt greet you or other people. And if you did come in they would not say hi and some where even scrolling on their phones not paying attention. This was pretty much all the shops but besides that they had great selections and perfect thing to do to just waste some time. The prices seemed pretty good in some of the shops. Coligny Plaza shopping center is the center of the South Beach area here on Hilton Head Island. Inches from the beach, its a cluster of endless, fascinating and fun stores and restaurants with entertainment and happy people always enjoying themselves. No trip to Hilton Head is complete without taking plenty of time 4 Coligny Plaza. Theres something about the culture here in the South that shows and the faces of the wonderful people you find in these unique and interesting stores.

This place is a bit outdated on the outside, but its super convenient to many timeshares and a few hotels and has pretty much anything one would need on vacation. Various stores include the Piggly Wiggly, Carolina Cupcakes, myriad t-shirt shops, nail salons, and several restaurants. Its also close to the beach, which is great. The parking can be sparse here, except in the large Piggly Wiggly shopping area. I believe there is also a movie theater at Coligny.

Its definitely a place to go if you are visiting, but dont expect to be wowed by anything. There are a couple of decent bars, an ice cream place, and a shop or two worth visiting, but most if it is just touristy knick knack shops and people trying to sell you things. Its a nice walk around, but the proximity to Coligny beach leaves much to be desired. The piggy wiggly store there is pretty terrible, so just stay away from there.

This is absolutely the place to shop, walk around, enjoy live music, etc. If visiting HHI on vacation. Very popular, great shops (something for everyone), beautiful beachy layout and just a block from the beach. Side note: dont miss Frosty Frog drinks & music or Stus Subs- both on the side by Piggly Wiggly (FFrog- left path & Stus- right path of grocery), Id hate for one to kick themselves later for passing up this greatness!

Loved the atmosphere! Easy access to beach with a mat that stretches out to the water that makes it easier to pull a wagon, push a stroller, ride your bike, etc. through the sand. Water fountain for kids to play in and also doubles as a way to wash sand off from beach! Plus great shopping and dining area around the area! Been here my past two trips to Hilton Head and will definitely be back!

My kids have always insisted on going here several times every time we are on the island and now my grandsons insist on always going here several times on our yearly family vacation. The candy store is always a must, love the shell shop and all the unique shops. We were highly disappointed about Steamers Seafood leaving the Plaza. Not a HHI vacation if we dont visit Coligny Plaza.

I have been coming here for 3 years and I always love it! the shops are great and there are many ice cream shops. Great place to shop for clothes or go out to dinner. Its walking distance to the beach so you can pick something up at the piggly wiggly on your way over to the water. It is a great location over all. Have had to bad things happen there, but they were very minor and NBD.

Do you enjoy shopping???? If so, This is a great place to do that at. Multiple shops with plenty of variety including restaurants and even a grocery store. Plus, it is right off the beach!! Who doesnt love that! Dog friendly, just not in all the shops. Free parking, hotels and vacation condos across the street. Great place to spend an afternoon after hitting the beach.

Ive been going to the island for eighteen years now. My family stays at North forest beach mainly due to the proximity to coligny. It is a wonderful place that grows and evolves with different shops and restaurants every year. Highly recommend it along with what we consider our staples in the plaza, frozen moo, Ritas, quiet storm, and our new favorite Stus subs

Popular shopping plaza with ample parking in the heart of Hilton Head Island. Easy to get to from the Parkway, just off of Pope Avenue. Lots of beach and souvenir shops, upscale boutiques, family friendly restaurants, and a Piggly Wiggly grocery store. Live entertainment during the summer at a few of the restaurants, and in the center square.
