DO NOT GO HERE! BUYERS BEWARE!This place is a ripoff, over priced and rude as HELL! The owners of this supply store feels they are the only place in the world to buy haircare products. They charge prices 3 x the cost. One of the "HOODRAT" workers, which is the daughter of the owner does not know how to speak to customers. In this hard economic time, we do not have to spend our hard earned money to an establishment that doesnt appreciate its patrons. I came into the store and spoke with the son/daughter (whatever he want to be) and asked about a product I saw on their website. They had the product but it went from 27.99 online and $53.99 in store. Confused, I asked for a manager. This illiterate "hoodrat" comes from the back because her brother/sister didnt know what the word "penalized" meant. I felt the customer should not be penalized for their website not being update in 5 years. How was I to know that? She told me I could go somewhere else....and you know I did. This incident was my 3rd in that store, I had 2 before this and tried to patronize our "Folk" but I come from Jersey and I can continue to get hair products from NJ. There arent 2 many in this area and I feel this makes them believe the public need them. Uh NOOO! Stroud Beauty you acted real ugly to me too many times. You are not the pilgrims that landed on the rock and you did not create the wheel. New yorkers or not, you must put people in your establishment that will make the customers come back. That daughter of the owner, should start using some of the products you peddle and stop sniffing them. Take an etiquette class along with business management. This isnt NY where you "HOODRATS" are used to roaming. To the son/daughter...YOU ARE FIERCE!

I walked in the other day and the guy (I guess he is co owner) behind the counter is rude as HELL. I asked about some products but he would not take his eyes off the TV to bother. I thought it was like the hair stores I love in Philly but the selection was crap. Half of the products were already opened and had looked like they had been used or abused. The products are extemely expensive like 3 or 4 times the regular amount. Do they think because they are from NY that we are dumb country folk? WRONG They should take the store and the attitude back to the city. Being a licensed hair dresser we can get products and nice service elsewhere. I spoke to others about the store and turns out I am NOT not alone with my opinion. Not to mention I think they are racist. He was alright with the few black customers but could not care less about me and the other white customer in the store. DO NOT GO THERE!! RIPOFF AND REALLY RUDE!!! Made to feel like I was more a bother than a patron.

I love this place! I really dont understand the previous comments, especially the racist remark. Im white and everybody there was so polite, respectful and helpful. Im brand new to hair extensions and the girl behind the counter spent over 30 mins working with me, explaining things to me and being helpful. For my appointment I can say I have never been so comfortable at a new place. They made me feel like I was right home with everybody. As for a bad selection? Uhmm... They have a huuugeee selection of everything! The prices of some may be up there but you get what you pay for. Overall it was a great experience and I will be going back. Thank you ladies!

Wow.. I am absolutely dumbfounded by some of the derogatory comments.. I have never had a problem with any of The owners/employees as a matter of fact I have even called via phone and took a considerable amount of their time asking questions about Hair Extensions, and the Lady I spoke with was Lovely informative and never rushed me once.. I rated it a 4, only because I have not had my hair done yet.. My appointment is coming up.. And Im certain it will be 5*.. As a side note I happen to be White, there is not one denotation of racism here.. Everyone is a pleasure.. Sometimes you get what you give~

Do not go here marcica ...the queen of all everything is the most horrible business person in the world I spent 400 on extensions 150 for her to put them in 3weeks later there is nothing left of the extentions ...and this woman started screaming at me that she wasn't gonna deal with me I had these extensions done by a stylist once a week they have horrible quality hair ...these people need to be run out of town they claim its real hair and its not

I feel blessed to be in the Poconos and have access to a BoB beauty supply store. Theyve always been friendly when Ive come in. I dont often buy much, but they treat me the same as if I spend a lot of money there. Its very encouraging. Because of their professionalism and courteousness, I make the extra effort and plan my purchases so I can get what I want and need from them. P.S. They offer a discount on Mondays. Ask about it.

I went today. I usually try to support BoBs but this really is an ill managed store. Loads of boxes everywhere, the floor looked unswept but I was really put off by the employees. Cursing, talking on the phone while talking to customers, rude. I just cant. Ill take my money to a BoB that demonstrates customer service. (They exist folks, just not here at this store)

It depends on who is there but the male owner and one of the young girls are very very kind and helpful to me. Ive gone in there and asked a million questions and they showed me different options, were honest and professional. So Im confused by the horrible reviews.

My only complaints are they are over priced and they have a small variety....there is a new Beauty supply store in Mt Pocono called Square Root where weis is and they are excellent. Large variety, will do special orders, very competitive prices.

My experience is always great, they are the the best Beauty Supply store in the Poconos, most are real small and dont have quality stuff. Stroud Beauty Supplies does. The whole family is amazing and offer great customer service.
