A few months ago I needed to replace a car Id lost in a minor accident. I had no credit built up yet, so I had to find places that worked on limited credit and would help me improve it. La Bate had a nice lot with some good people there who made the process very easy and with little stress. No one was pushy or tried to influence me towards one vehicle over another. The salesman just said to look around the lot and see what interested me, then left me to browse at my own speed. Once Id selected a vehicle, he checked things out and started the purchasing process. The whole sale went very smoothly and left me feeling good about it all. They arranged the payments to work with my paychecks so that it would be easier for me to handle each time. Then they helped me enroll in an online payment system so that I could just pay each time on the web and not have to mail checks or drive to their office and pay in person. Overall I enjoyed the whole thing when I went in dreading having to handle a car purchase. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and to anyone who needs a car and needs help with limited or poor credit. Why go to the big dealers or super lots and be pressured into something youd regret when you can visit La Bate for a nicer experience!

Did they pay people to write these reviews? I am very disappointed in how I was treated and this is the worst experience I have dealt with in my search for a vehicle. I already had a bank loan for a car that was totaled in December. My insurance paid the balance minus my deductible leaving me a $600 balance. I was told by my bank I could refinance just go to the dealer and have them contact them to process. I was told that I needed $3800 down at Labate. When I contacted my bank to find out why so high since my initial loan I only had to do $1000. They then inform me of the amount I was approved for with that I discovered they almost tripled my required down payment so they could put more cash in their pocket. They may get you in a car but they will rape you as they do it. Stay far far away. There are too many dealerships. Now I realize if they continue to tell you how honest they are and how much they want to help instead of actually doing it I should run far. I went to a different dealership the same day and guess what I only needed $1500 down!! BEWARE!!! Ps Im still waiting on a call back about this issue not because I would give them my money at this point I just want to know why? I guess Ill never know...

Worst car buying experience of my life! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! I brought a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder on 8/25/16 the first week the check engine light came on so I took it back they cleared the codes and told me to drive it and the light shouldnt come back on, needless to say the light came back on and by 9/9/16 it was dead. My kids and I had to push the vehicle out of the parking lot to get towed. After getting it towed I was informed that the transmission went and the computer in the transmission was bad. The codes that they cleared the first time I went let them know the transmission was bad. To make things worst the owner Tom Labate wouldnt refund my money, he gave me $800. Im a single Mom with 2 kids I cant afford to lose $2250.00(my down payment) on a vehicle I had for only 2 weeks. He should be ashamed of himself, his cars are not as good as he claims they are and they are over priced. Again I wouldnt recommend Labate to anyone!!

I have to be really honest I been looking for car for a while now and I been to five dealerships before I went to La Bates and I come to realize that all the other dealerships wasnt as friendly or truly helpful. I felt they just wanted to sell me any car to make there commission. They showed me cars that wasnt worth the time looking at. La Bates was a totally different kind of experience. They treated me with respect and honesty. They took there time and helped me out in every way. I did not feel like a customer I truly felt like a long time friend and they hooked me up beautifully. I bought a 2006 Nissan Altima and it been the best choice I made. They even threw in four new tires without charge. They gave the car fax and the history of the car I bought. All I can say is everyone at La Bates made a new friend and a long lasting customer. Keep up the great job guys. You all truly are professionals Yours truly, Gerry & Maria

Rookie Money

The dealership failed to tell me that the car was in an big accident and parts were repainted. Further, they told me they did a full pre-sale inspection as they do to all their cars to make sure that the car is in great shape. A week after I bought it, I took the car to Firestone to have it inspected and the rear tires are in horrible shape and need replacement. At high speeds there are sounds that come from the rear right tire and the mechanic showed me how wobbly and worn both rear tires are on the inside. I went online to check local prices for the same exact car, certified and less miles from a Nissan Dealership. Certified Pre-owned are between $16k and $18k, they sold me the car for $17,500, huge rip-off especially with higher miles of 48k and repainted post accident history and worn tires.. PLEASE be very careful when buying a car here. They are very nice but if you trust them you will end up in a situation like mine.

Let me say this about labate autos, when everyone else says no they say yes, Im not joking. This place treated me like family from the beginning to the end, Robert is honest and friendly, Miss Emma is wonderful and believe me u will being driving off the lot and Mr Tommy lets u know when u buy a car here, it doesnt stop there, its just the beginning, any problem u may have just call and it will be taken care of. If want a great car and u have bad credit, repossessions, or no credit at all, they will make sure u drive off the lot happy, secured and with a new family. Believe me my credit is terrible and still they blessed me with a wonderful car and I have a new family who is connected to car shops and great mechanics . So go to labate where everyone else says no but they say yes and tell them Ali sent you. And enjoy ur new car and family. THANKS LABATE AUTO SO MUCH I AM THANKFUL AND BLESSED THAT U GIVE ME A CHANCE!!!!

They sell LEMONS!! I had to put down $650, drove the car home and the check engine came on in less than an Hour!!!! I went to work that same night, and when I got off work in the morning, I went outside to start the car and it wouldnt turn on. They were extremely smug and said that Im lucky they are towing the car back to the lot for free. When I asked them to give me a loaner car so I can get to work they told me to " ask your friends for rides because we dont do that" They would not give me my deposit back or anything. I have no car, they took the last little bit of money I had, and now I have no way of getting to work and they said " thats not our problem" STAY AWAY, EMMA and TOM ARE SLIME BALLS!!! Buy Here Pay Here lots have bad reputations for a reason, I learned the hard way!!!
