let me start out by saying that if you are looking for any sort of productive help with your belovid bicycle look elsewhere! I have had a few experiences with this shop and every one of them have been negative. The staff is comprised of hipsters who think they they are too cool to care about your bicycle problems. I was in the market for a particular mountain bike earlier this year and went to them to test one out for an hour or two. Clearly this shop is not in the 21st century with their demo policy and wanted to charge the complete price of the bike to my card and hold the money in escrow for a week!?!?!?! I dont know of any shop on the planet who does this. In my opinion, this shop is not worthy of carrying such an excellent bike company, they are negatively impacting sales. needless to say I purchased my Nomad elsewhere, their loss but I just want to let any buyer know to look elsewhere if you are in the market for an expensive bike, they also are not very educated about the bikes that they are selling. After this experience I have only returned to the shop twice when I was in dire need of a part and the experience has been the same. I purchased two new sets of pedals from them and I asked them to quickly throw them on my bikes which had the old pedals already taken off of all but one of the four crank arms. They actually had the nerve to tell me that it would be eight dollars per set to install them. I laughed in their face and said no way! The point is that this shop is beyond unhelpful and will try to take your hard earned dollars at any chance they get. Steer clear of this place as there are countless friendly and helpful shops in this area! (I actually went to another shop right after they wanted to charge me $16 for the use of a pedal wrench who took a pedal off and installed the pedals that i bought elsewhere for free even after I insisted on paying him something!) There is really no need to venture into this sup par shop with sub par employees you will only get ripped off!

Just like the other who have reviewed the bike service below, I had a bad customer service experience. I just went there with my commuting bike. The bike is old but runs well, it just needed the brakes and gears serviced. Unfortunately, the hipster guy, with some tattoos, whom I had to deal with had a different idea. Before asking me what is wrong with the bike, takes it, doesnt listen to me and tells me that the bike needs two new tires. I said, that for now all I needed was the breaks and gears serviced. His answer: "I cant work on the bike unless you change the tires, they are $25 each plus labor". Mmmhh, that should be my decision. This put me in an uncomfortable situation. If he had said: "look, the tires are old, you should replace them when you have time" Id have listened, but the blackmail strategy of "either you do this or I wont service it" was simply too much. Anyhow, I took it to another shop down the street. Good service and friendly staff $30 for what it was going to cost me $65 at human zoom. No tires needed to be replaced. My advice, avoid them.

I bought a new bike, paid extra for the extended service plan. Bike got a dent in the first month--just bad luck. The manager said they couldnt do any service on a damaged bike, recommended I buy a new frame. Sketchy, but fair enough, probably a liability issue for them, and they offered a deep discount on replacement frame. But the kicker: I decided not to buy a new frame, and asked for a refund for my never-used service policy. They told me there were no refunds on labor. I said, you didnt do any labor, they said, right, but you already paid for it. I said, yeah... argued for half an hour, asked to talk to a boss, and the guy told me he had no boss, the store policy was inviolable, etc. Polite, but pure stonewall. Frustrating.

The staff here really knows mountain bikes. They are more MTB oriented than road oriented. They have both, but the staff never seems interested in the road bikes. Its probably my favorite shop to just putz around in. This is my go-to place if I need an obscure part or adapter, if I broke something, or if I want a recommendation on which tires to use for the local trails. I do my own maintenance so I cant comment on their services. Usually a good selection of discounted last years bikes, and they have been willing to work with me on prices. Overall prices are good I think. Staff is laid back and probably wont approach you but if you ask them something they are helpful and knowledgable.

The shop is quite large and stocks a wide variety of bicycles as well as accessories, clothing, parts etc. - However, the service fee for parts to be installed ($10 per part) is outrageous - and one of the staff members is extremely unprofessional, shows attitude and is simply rude. If the shop were to lower its service rate and employ a better employee in the position of that one - this would be a great shop. Otherwise, I would never go back there. Id rather go downtown and find a shop there or go up the road to Cadence. Went for: Parts Went because: Closest shop to me Would I go back again? No

Went in to grab clipless pedals and some cycling shoes, knowing the bare minimum about different styles of clipless pedals, they explained what would work best for my bike and why, and they had the shoes I was looking for! They installed the cleats on the shoes and the pedals on my bike for free (make sure you tip, bike mechanics are service workers too!) and did it quickly. The products they sold me changed my whole ride, and its so much better. Compared to most shops in Philly their customer service was awesome and I definitely would recommend going here!

This location was on Main St. No one approached me and asked if I needed any assistance. I pretty much had to stand there like a manikin before anyone got to me. All I wanted were my tires changed and he looked at the bike for like 30 secs and told me I needed this and that which came up to 200 bucks! Said we cant put a bike out there we worked on to be unsafe. They wouldnt even replace just the tires unless they did the so called 200 worth of issues I had on my bike. But said to me , you can buy the tires and put it on yourself. Like seriously?

Good shop, selection and showroom. Staff gives good advice and service. They have been accommodating when doing special orders too. I have purchased bikes from them and had both mountain and road bikes serviced there with good experiences. I have also referred friends to Zoom which I think says it all. Have not had the $ issues others have stated but I find it a bit shady that 2 reviews have mentioned the other shop on the street. The staff at that shop will look like they want to spit on you if you dont want to buy a $5-7k road bike.
