My state inspection at another facility found a problem with the bushings on my front strut mount plates and wanted to charge $1180 to fix it. I phoned around and found one place near my home that would do the work for $785. Bill Gray Volvo quoted me a price of $400 on the phone: $200 per plate. I even queried again to see if it was the correct price, and they repeated "400 plus tax." I was a bit uncertain because of the price difference, so when I arrived I asked them to make sure that it was the strut mount plates causing the problem. They reported that it was, and that there were no other problems. A few hours later, I find the bill for $750. Apparently, they had quoted me the price for parts and not included the labor. Now, obviously the price was a reasonable one and I have no problem paying for labor. They performed the work in a reasonable amount of time (I initially told them I was going to drop off the car for the whole day but ended up waiting since theres no bus service to there) and I have no reason to doubt the quality. But an accurate initial quote would have prevented a days delay in my holiday travel plans, a 6am wake up time and an hour and a half commute. Leaving out labor in a quote is not okay.

Dealer service, Dealer prices. These guys did an amazing job on my s60. I just had it in for a 90,000mi tuneup - the BIG one. they were thorough and found things wrong that I had suspected were wrong (and I know a good deal about cars). They were up front about everything and did a FANTASTIC job fixing what I asked them to. My car runs so much better now, its like I put new life into it. Also, they gave me a loaner car for the day and they had it done in literally 6 hours (amazing for a 90k service). They were courteous and communicated often and clearly. My only complaint is that dealers, in general, charge a lot for service. I really cant complain ; they gave me a helluva bargain on some labor costs, but some local shops charge less for some of the same services (brake pads, for instance). Since they are volvo experts, the quality of service was better than cheaper shops, so I would think twice before opting for the cheap guys. I will take my car there again if I ever have something major i need fixed; these guys are pros.

The Volvo, a car you can believe in; Bill Gray, a Volvo Dealership you can believe in, are equally synonymous, allowing the consumer a pleasant experience, (free of the typical pressures given off by the lessor dealerships that still sponsor greatly engineered automobiles). Ian, the sales person whom I had the pleasure working with did all I asked from him, and offered me more that ever expected; and I must add, even after the sale, by providing some additional support for my recent car purchase. Lastly, Ian consulted with Bill Gray on a couple of occasions , and I must add, Bill Gray responded with an eagerness to help make my purchase even more pleasant. I thank you, and please remain the dealership (the consumer) may believe in; considering the Volvo remains, without doubt, a car to believe in and enjoy! Tom Campbell, PhD, M.S.W., CAC III

Great service. I was impressed by how professional and nice they are here. I took my s80 in for a routine service, and as soon as I walked in, they offered me a cup of coffee and some snacks. I was waiting on it (since I did not think it would take long) and after an hour, they let me know that there were some serious problems (costly problems) that would have to be taken care of soon. Before they did anything though, they brought me in the service bay to look at it myself, and since it would take a few more hours than expected, they even offered to drive me to the mall so I could kill time and grab a bite to eat. Labor costs are a bit more than Im used to but Im willing to pay them to support such a quality operation.

Youve gotta be kidding me. Took my car in for $1100 in service, got my car back with a broken key... ... and the options to fix it, each of which would cost me u$185. Key was returned to me held together with duct tape. Each of my 3 Hartford, CT dealers beats the tar out of this place on their worst day; every time I went there, car returned vacuumed and washed (only a lame excuse concerning same for BGV)... and with key intact. I may try Rahal, but more likely will see if I can get by on reputable local (East End) service stations, and make arrangements on trips back to CT for the stuff Volvo really has to fix.

Purchased a used Subaru Forester from these folks at a great price. They were a pleasure to deal with and inspected the car and changed the oil at no additional cost after the purchase was concluded. Would definitely buy here again if the opportunity arises.

Great service. Work was completed at the exact time they estimated (strut work). They kept checking on me and reporting back as to how far they were along in the repair. Brad was a big help. Highly recommended.
