This review is written to highly recommend Wolfe Automotive as a dealer (we have not yet used them as a mechanic). We bought a used Volvo XC70 wagon from them in June, and within one week it broke down somewhat far from home due to a failed transmission oil seal. We have bought used Volvos for over 30 years, and never had a problem, so at first this concerned us. However, this dealer took full responsibility for both the tow and repair charge, even though the contract we signed did not require this. This is impressive, because lets face it, buying a used car is always somewhat of a gamble - things can go wrong that will not happen when buying a new car. The important thing for us was how the dealer responded, and they went above and beyond the call to correct the problem. Another factor important to mention is that whereas price comparisons of comparable models for sale at other dealers might indicate the prices at Wolfes are consistently higher, it is important to realize how thoroughly they go over the car and make any necessary repairs before placing it on the market - especially for example, they replace the timing belt, an expensive and essential item for Volvos. In our experience other dealers tend either to not mention that pending expense, or mention it in the context of something the buyer should address after the sale. Wolfe does this ahead of time if needed, which for us is a huge positive. We definitely would not hesitate to initiate our search there next time we are in need of a used Volvo, and enthusiastically recommend this dealer to others.

This dealership is without conscience. My daughter bought a car Volvo from them with her own money to go to college $4500.. Granted it was high mileage but we believed Volvos ran for hundreds of thousands Miles. It lasted just over a year before it needed Thousands of dollars of work to pass inspection. I have come to find out from other Volvo mechanics that this model The S40 is notoriously troublesome and expensive to maintain. You would think they would Know that. And suggest some other model. As a result my daughters first year off college will be without the transportation that is required for the off campus job she needs to earn a living. Shame on you Wolfe. Little red riding hood had a better chance
