If I couldve chosen zero stars, I wouldve. I purchased a 2003 Ford Ranger xlt from Gaughan in August of 2015. Within the first 2 hours of owning it, I lost every light in the cab of the truck. After about five fuses, I figured out that it was a sliced wire for the clearance lights on the roof of the truck, which really shouldve been noticed. The transmission has been acting up, it vibrates badly and makes grinding noises at higher speeds, and the CD player doesnt work. I asked them if I could have my old truck back, and I was told it needed a transmission. But wait, it gets better. The truck had chrome fender caps, which to me was visually unappealing, no big deal, Ill just take them off. I finally got to removing the one on the front passengers side fender, and there were paint chips with rust. Here we go... As I was patching up those spots, I noticed rust around strange holes that were drilled in the rocker panels, so I patched that up to the best of my ability as well. When I got done with that, I noticed yet more bad rust on the bottom of each door, at which point I gave up. Tonight I went to a different dealership to try and trade it in on a DECENT VEHICLE. My truck was appraised and an autocheck was performed. Turns out my truck had frame/unibody damage. I was never told, and its not in any of my paper work. For those wondering why this is important, a damaged frame means the truck was totaled at one point. Them not disclosing this to me at all is HIGHLY ILLEGAL. And I asked if they had any receipts or paperwork for the transmission that had to be put in my old truck. The salesman replied "Im sorry about that, it never even needed one. We made a mistake." I paid almost $10,000 for this piece of garbage. Not to mention I had negative equity in my trade, which means I OWE ALMOST $12,000 ON A TRUCK THATS BOOK VALUED AT $1,500. I would like to fend everyone off from buying a vehicle here. After an experience like this, its safe to say they cant be trusted. Run! You have no clue what you might be getting yourself into!

Please read this before you decide to go here so you dont have to go through their scams. I wish i could give 0 stars. I bought a car from this place and right before I bought it I turned on the radio and the radio was seriously messed up. So the lady says oh no problem just make an appointment with our repair shop. So I shook it off and made the appointment but the very next day the exauhst broke and my catalytic converter was on the ground dragging, the very next day. So I contacted her and she pretended to care and played along and said make an appointment to get the catalytic converted fixed. It broke bc the brackets were literally rust. And it snapped off and it fell and dragged. So I make the appointments and he says Im not worried about the radio lets get that exauhst fixed first. I say okay good idea, then he comes out and says your exauhst is fixed but come back another time for the radio when you have more time. I didnt catch on to their plan yet so I just went with it. He said the radio should be here in 3 days so call before you come. So 3 days past and I called to see if the radio was there and surprise surprise here comes the scam. He says before you get the radio you have to pay half for the exauhst. Wow!! Snake scam artist. He says that Jean said he doesnt know what I was doing to the exauhst to make it break. Yeah right my man the brackets were rusted and they knew all along they didnt want to fix it by themselves so they made me go half on it they sold me a lemon. This place is full of snakes the worst kind bc they was very friendly. So that makes them devils deceivers. Do not be fooled by this place get a car elsewhere. Dont go though that I did. They got the nerve to mark all their cars with their logo so you can advertise for them. Yet their snakes. Dont go here

They had a special going on until Sept. 30th , $2000 for ANY trade in (liers) anyway so I was looking at vehicles when a very nice female salesperson approached me asking questions. I advised I was looking for a specific car. I was then Taken to another salesperson who said they have that specific car at their auction lot. They couldnt give a price because the car isnt theres yet. They had another salesperson take me to look at the car. The car was in good condition. I advised them I am intrested in the car. When I asked about the trade in special immediately they began to give the run around and excuses. I still liked the car and said I still wanted it. I was told by one of the head salesman he will call me weather they get the car or not. Days later, no call from gauhan! So I called them. Conveniently the salesman wasnt available, but he will call me before the end of the day. That was a week ago. Still no return call. I guess they dont want my business. By the way I told them I was paying the car off and didnt need financing. I believe this is why they wouldnt take the trade even though they advertised it and refuse to call because they make bonus money from the banks they get financing approved through. Unfortunately all car dealers are in the busness to make money, and not customer satisfaction.however Its difficult to find a dealer thats not a lier also. If yall have a mechanic friend have them go with you to look at the car. Then get the info and research the car yourself before buying it.

I bought a car a little over a year ago. The listed price was higher than KBB and the car had some issues (radio didnt work properly, middle console was broken, and the fan speed only worked on high). I told them I would pay the KBB price under the condition that all 3 issues were repaired. They only fixed the fan (& I dont believe that they really fixed it because now, a year later, it has broken again & I paid $122 out of pocket to repair it.) I did have to pay 3 mos. after purchasing for some rotted bushings and stuff, and the car hadnt been given a tune-up. The salesman wasnt a very good one (he couldnt even tell me if the vehicle had ABS or not, but I found the answer myself.) My car only came with one key (and it was a generic) and no floor mats (which I guess is the norm, but still. Ive also purchased used cars that had them.) And they sent me off with 1/4 tank of gas. I would just be sure that the car checks out before purchasing, and make sure you are getting a fair price, and make sure you know what you want. Be a well-informed buyer. I am happy with my car and fortunate I have a good mechanic, but I probably will not be back.

I had two family members buy a car at this place and the excellent feedback I heard had me go and look around. I currently dont need a new one, but I wanted to look to see the prices and what they have. A gentlemen Otto came up to my fiancé and I and were very kind and helpful! I enjoyed his help while looking at the cars and very honest person, which you dont get much when you go to car lots. They try to sale you whatever just to get your money. This place was NOT like that. Great experience I had with Otto. When Im ready for a new car first place Ill be looking is Gaughan Auto! People need more workers like Otto. Thank you for the great experience for my first time coming to the lot.
