I just wanted to write and say how disappointed we were with the service at Value City. When we purchased our furniture in June, we were told it was in stock and just to pick a delivery date that would work for us. Since we were just settling on our house and painting, July 19 was the ebst date and we were told it wasnt a problem. When the 19 of June rolled around, we had no furniture or phone call. My husband called to find out the situation and was told we were actually scheduled for the 23 - even though our receipt said the 19th. On July 20, I received a phone call saying that part of our order would not be able to come, the set was being discontinued and they could not get it anywhere. They made it sound like it was a favor to us by not delivery a "defective" piece of furniture. I asked if we could have free shipping to compensate the poor service and the reply was "Why would you think you get free shipping?" I let her know no one ever called to let us know the delivery was delayed and they waited until the day after to let us know we couldnt have a piece. The new date was shceduled for delivery was still the 23 for the rest of the furniture and I even got a call to confirm a time for delivery. I had someone waiting at my house to let them in, but sure enough, no one showed up. I called and spoke to the same woman and asked about the status of my shipment. She said someone left me a message the day before to say that they now had none of my furniture due to it being discontinued. They said they were waiting to see if they could get something in from other stores, but it would be the floor model. No one ever did call from Value City to let us know this either. We have caller ID, a answering machine and they also had my cell phone number. I feel we were treated with dishonesty, laziness and disreguard. I would NEVER shop at a Value City Furniture store again.

My boyfriend and I purchased a bedroom and living room set with warranties at Value City Furniture in Harrisburg, Pa in late March of 2015. We had multiple issues with the quality of the furniture- (Cushions breaking down and tearing after hardly any use, and supportive wood underneath the structures cracking.) -and called to have these issues resolved as they promise in their care plan. They did initially send out a technician to take a look. He took several pillows from the living room set with him for "repair", and told me that they would be sending out new sofa cushions to replace the first ones. After a month of no news, I called our VCF location and they said they had a cushion in the warehouse ready to send out. We recieved it a day later, but it wasnt the right color to match our set so we returned it. Since then our experience has only gotten worse. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, managers dodge our calls when we call to find out the status of our claim. We are always given a different story. The warranty center can not help us, since our inital complaint was within a year of purchase and should have been taken care of by the store in Harrisburg. We have yet to speak to anyone helpful, it seems everyone just passes our calls off and clearly do not want to be bothered. Very poor customer service. I would like my money back but I would NEVER purchase from this place again, and I DO NOT reccomend them to anyone. I am still currently waiting on a response from the business and have just recently contacted a lawyer and the BBB. This is no way to treat paying customers.

We had the same experience Montana Donato. We bought a sectional and a recliner. We thought it was worth the extra money to get the 7 year warranty and the fabric protection etc. It was about 15 months old when we had to call in and talk about the warranty and I remember when the van pulled up to the house and the man with his clip board came in, assessed the furniture issue and said that the chaise was definitely covered, but that the cushion is attached so they would need to replace the chaise and the other cushion. I still dont know how a cushion can break but it really didnt matter. He took his measurements, noted it was a right sided chaise etc. and we never heard back. We hit brick walls with trying to get the store to intervene. This was the Harrisburg store. Our salesman Tom was always busy. We never went back. We never received return phone calls. Its a shame too because I remember how nice everyone was while we were paying them for the furniture. Now? I am looking to purchase living room furniture and have no where to go because I am confident that all the stores are likely the same. I only spend (throw away) that kind of money once. Lesson learned. I do though tell people when I hear them at work talk about the sales, to be careful and not purchase a faux warranty. You were nice giving them a star. Me? I wasnt going to but it forced me to in order to post. Ha! Go Figure!

I must say that after reading a few of the reviews below me, I am completely shocked and wondering if were all referencing the same Value City Furniture. My boyfriend and I completely furnished our apartment from VCF. A living room sectional, and a 5 pc bedroom set. Not only were the prices affordable and right up our alley, but the service was excellent. The guy that helped us out was friendly and helpful; he didnt make us feel rushed or pressured into buying anything. Due to the fabric of our sectional, we decided to get the extended warranty which was explained to us thoroughly before we agreed to purchase it. Delivery took less than three days and the guys who came to set everything up had no problem rearranging things after i didnt like the original set up. All in all, my experience with VCF and their staff was great. Its unfortunate some of you dont feel you received the same treatment. I would def do business with them again. ps no i am NOT a VCF staff member. Just a satisfied customer!!

I really had bad experience during delivery time. I had been told me to deliver all my stuff on Saturday, I wait for whole day and it deliver on Sunday evening. Even The deliver boy try to fit my sofa in one piece thus scratches on my sofa when i explained this situation to store guy he said that it should be deliver in no. of pieces then assemble inside house. I really surprise to hear that. Now no one taking responsibility regarding my scratches on sofa. Then again I went to purchase bed and mattress set before 15 days. Before delivery I got reminder call from Mechanicsburg store, the lady just shouted on me, I really dont understand who is customer. She dont have any rights to become yell on me. Again after 15 days of my bed set my box spring wooden strip just break. I really dont know about quality of product now. Really disappointed regarding service, quality and customer satisfaction.
