Worst customer service on the planet. A disgrace to the outdoor sports industry. Bass pro shops never ceases to amaze me with their horrendous customer service. I keep trying to go back because just being in their store is so cool but I get burned every time. It is their corporate culture to step all over their customers. I have experienced this not only at this store but in 7 states. Most recently I mistakenly went into the store the night before the sale began referenced in the flier I recieved as a preferred customer (top 10% of spenders at this location in 2016). When I realized it is asked a representative on the floor who assisted me in identifying that I had the right item from the flier and then radioed to the gm and got authorization for me to get the items in the flier at the flier price. We continued to shop and then went to the checkout with a few hundred dollars in merchandise (3 sale items, the rest regularly priced). The cashier began ringing us up and applied the discounts appropriately on the first two sale items but the customer service manager was watching from her desk and felt the need to come over and OVERRIDE the authorization of the GM (who had left by this point) and refused to discount my 3rd item arguing with me that it wasnt the item from the flier (even though the numbers, description and pictures all matched the flier I had in my hand). This was also the item that the clerk on the floor verified at the beginning of the trip. The kicker, it was a $2 price difference. Well congratulations customer service manager, you saved the store from giving g a $2 discount the night before the item went on sale and you sent a preferred customer to Gander Mountain for life...they said thank you by the way!

The store was great. However the staff wasnt to friendly. The shoe department was awesome. The cashier at the top of 2nd floor was a straight up ass. We asked if they carried badlands camo products and a smerk NO was all we got. I drove 2 hours to see badlands camo and your simple no to me was just a attempt to say leave me alone. Try to earn my business or my money. I can buy only faster then driving to your store to be treated like a inconvenience. My wife and daughter made the best of the trip by checking out the fish tank and animals around the store. However the staff in my opinion needs to understand that the customer should be treated like gold in your store. Not a inconvenience. Sorry but I felt that I wouldnt be back due to how I was treated. No because you dont carry the camo I wanted even though it states your a authorized dealer.... but because I felt like I wasnt important enough to be treated as a valued customer. My money spends just like the rest. This is the case and point of why shops go.out of business cause your staff can careless if I leave happy or not.

I have shopped at the Harrisburg Bass Pro several times only because it is the closest to my home. I think this store needs a new manager or maybe it just needs to close so another can be built close by. It doesnt matter who I talk to that has shopped there never got what they went after. The people that work there are not very knowledgeable about the products they are selling and the selection at this store is so limited that unless you are fishing in the river they wont have it. Why should the customer have to drive 50 miles to order something he can order from home. Its a shame because the Hanover Md. store is stocked the way they should be. If its in the catalog you should be able to get it at any one of their stores. Otherwise I say its false advertisement on the corporations part, they should force these store to carry all the products or close the doors.

I absolutely love this store. It is my favorite place to spend time and buy great things. I live out away from harrisburg, so I always go down with a few friends/ cousins and my brother and plan a whole day around it. My imagination just wanders in that store and Ive heard Cabelas is just the same. I often waltz in with a wallet of cash and nothing particular in mind. Its easy to loose yourself in there. I love it. One thing though, Ive seen alot of reviews where people complain about having to walk out around the side doors to get out. First of all, your stupid for not noticing the door right in front of the cash registers to the right. It takes you straight out to the front parking lot. Second, instead of complaining, why not just park in front of the door to the side?? Common sense, people. Keep on keepin on, love your store.

First off let me say that if you want anything outside of fishing forget it. This place is a joke the employees are a joke and their prices are way over the top. My buddy and I went out from the allentown area. (We have never been before) we always hit cabelas. Walked in and I was happy dry th the appearance but right if the bat I asked someone where their archery section was and their response was "somewhere upstairs" .. so I found it and its about the size of my kitchen. Their firearms all seem to be about 70$more than Cabelas. Not to mention everything is overpriced. The person at the knife counter doesnt know anything about knives. So bottom line I will not be returning.

I found a row of products misplaced on the shelf. I let the floor manager know and she confirmed that they were the more expensive item and in the wrong place. But since I let them know she said she would honor the cheaper price. I got to the register and they would not honor it. I explained and she walked off and returned still not willing to honor it because they were all in the correct location. I told her yes because I told them they were in the wrong location. So they lost a customer not because of the money but they are not honorable. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. First time at bass pro and sadly the last too.

Ive been to both this bass pro and the cabalas in hamburg. Both have a good selection I would say bass pro has a better selection in boats and ATVs, while cabalas have more general outdoor stuff & camping supplys everything else seemed to close to sway me either way. That being said I think bass pro is bigger. All and all I think, I like cabalas better has a more open environment where at times in bass bro you sorta seemed confided. If you interested in the store brand clothing I also think cabalas excels beyond bass pro. All in it really matters what your after, and where your located.

This is a very neat store, even if you are not an outdoorsmen-I am not. I have visited here a few times before, to browse-it is that neat! I did recently need a heavy winter coat and I found one here-my XXL size and on sale half off. I did not get a chance to say THANK YOU to the saleman whom, on Saturday 12/10/2016 between 11AM-12 noon, directed me to the section I was looking for AND told me about the discount coats. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY COAT and I will visit here the next time I need a coat. THANK YOU Bass Pro store-your awesome in my book!
