This Ace Hardware is the best. The woman helping me at the key counter had to deal with a... difficult customer on the phone while helping me but a) was incredibly pleasant and helpful, b) gave phenomenal customer service to the person on the phone, and c) made sure I got the key coupon, all while one of the other staff kept assuring me that it wouldnt take too long (I explained that I used to work customer service and that she could take as long as she needed). Then I ran into I think one of the managers on my way out and he noticed my bumper was all busted. He offered to fix up my busted bumper with some zip ties and did a marvelous job. I felt like a valued customer despite this being my first visit and spending maybe $3. 100% Customer Satisfaction. Give them all raises, theyre what makes this store a success.

I was a 14 year customer with them that bought thousands of dollars worth of merchandise over the years. I would go there even though Home Depot has much lower prices on many items and a much better selection. Today I went with a 20% coupon to buy a backup sump pump system. NOWHERE on the coupon did it say that sump pumps were excluded (do they really think they are going to get a huge run on sump pumps- give me a break. I would be shocked if they sold 2 today). They wouldnt honor it at the store and didnt care about my loyalty. Bad move- I wanted the sump pump because I am finishing a basement... Which means I would have spent several more thousands of dollars with them. If they treat loyal customers like this I would rather go to Home Depot and save money for my family.

We purchase driveway sealer in Sept. ,which did not seal properly,ran and left bare spots.We called the owner of the store and he came out. He offered to have his men redo the driveway or refund our money.We accepted the offer to redo the driveway.The owner said to call him in the Spring and he took the empty cans away.We called in the Spring and was asked to call back in a week. We called 4 times within a month and did not get a response to the voicemail.We sent a registered letter,saying it seemed as if he did not want to do the project,enclosed a copy of the bill and asked for a refund.He never responded to the letter.Obviously we will not shop at Ace Hardware in Harleysville. Nor will our friends and neighbors.

This place is consistently good. What I like the most is the service. Unlike some competition, I feel employees know what they are talking about. And if they dont, help is around the corner. As far as prices, it may be a bit more than going to Lowes or Home Depot (maybe...) but Ace always has great deal. Check their online flyers, give your email and receive notifications for deals that last a day or until depletion of the product. Recently, the deal was on LED bulbs (equivalent 60w): buy 16 for $16. Thats cheaper than any other deal. One downside of the place: you dont always find what you want. But if the product is offered online, they can have it delivered in store in days.

In most areas, Ace Hardware in general, and the Harleysville Ace in particular, is competitive with the "box stores" both in items available and price. In fact, they often carry items and brands the boxes dont have. The people at the store are helpful and know their products. Those that dont are quick to radio for someone who does know the product. I suppose that somewhere in the past a transaction didnt go as I wanted, but I cant recall what or when. I have no problem with giving this store a five star rating. They deserve it.

Ordered a grill over the weekend. I was told PRIOR TO PURCHASE that if "I bought it today, delivery would be Tuesday." Well - its Tuesday and not so much as a phone call. When I called store to find status of delivery, I was then told that it might not even be this week. A typical case of salesperson making a promise simply in order to make a sale. I thought Id be nice by keeping the business local - next time Ill simply go to Home Depot. Great way to lose a local customer!

I stopped in at my Ace Hardware in Harleysville, PA this evening with a problem. Got the tree out and the major screw that holds the tree in place was missing. Mike not only found a thumb screw but re-drilled the hole to better accommodate the new one. Problem solved!! The best, knowledgeable, most helpful staff there. Many thanks Mike!!

They have the kind of customer service you cherish at a small local store. Though the store isnt as small as it was when I was a kid. It has expanded a lot and carries a variety of merchandise including nice gifts and kids toys.

Not only are they friendly, the are always super-knowledgeable. Its the only hardware store I know of where the employees really know about their products and which are best for what. Soooo much better than the big box stores!

High prices, attitude, and when I called during the day the phone went right to voicemail! I believe in Ace hardwares just not this one! Its worth the drive to just deal with the Lansdale Ace!
