I went to Gettysburg College for 2 years, and both years I went through withdrawal when the shop was closed for the wintertime. I havent been to Gburg in years, and I cant tell you how excited I am about finally going back in August! The family who runs the shop is SO sweet. They are the nicest, more kind-hearted people. And nothing beats the malts. The malts are amazing. The watermelon flavor, ohmygod. :-)

My husband and I had lunch there and it was fantastic. I had the pastrami and swiss and it was piled high with meat, not just one or two pieces like some places put on. The burger my husband got was out of this world. I saw someone else get a salad and it was awesome. Either share or be ready to be very full when you leave. We would definitely eat there again. THERE WAS FLIES EVERYWHERE. Burger was mediocre, chocolate shake needed extra squirt of chocolate, mom looked up "uhhhh" there was so many flies. CORN FLAVORED FRIES!!! HOW DO YOU MESS UP FRIES???? chicken was pretty good. KETCHUP TASTED LIKE SUGAH. ice cream was good. servers were real nice and family-like. made everything a little better.

Good, but there are probably some better places nearby, judging by the number of ice cream shops seen when driving around. My ice cream had ice chips in it from freezer burn. My husbands pistachio shake was good but had a little too much milk and was soupy. Staff was very friendly and service was very good.

Great small town ice cream shop with tasty American food. Small inside, enough room for about 14-16 people at tables. Staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Quick service, great ice cream and milk shakes, and tasty french fries. Get a shake, you will not be disappointed.

This place has the best malt milkshake I have ever had in my entire life. Do yourself a favor and get the dessert fries that taste like funnel cake at a carnival!!! They were fabulous when I dipped them in my shake....Ill be back soon :)

We wandered onto this delicious ice cream shop. We had just a single (generous) scoop each, mine was Black Cherry and the cherry chunks were huge!! Enjoy this gem near the center of town!!

Purchased my son a cone.... They handed it to him, the ice cream rolled off and they charged me for another cone!!! Expensive. Much better places in town.

Went there with friends, we all thought the place was dirty. Wiping counters and hands with a dirty rag, and coughing on the ice cream, no thanks.

Malt and milkshake were great and had good texture. Very friendly family run shop. Place had a strange pungency though.

Horrible food the staff was rude. Extremely disappointing. With all the choices in town we not be coming back.
