I assumed the 2006 Ford Escape that I bought from Bethlehem Ford was going to be drivable since it was inspected less than a month before I bought it. Unfortunately this inspection was completed by Bethlehem Ford... On the way home from the dealership all of my lights started dimming and brightening with the engine idle, which started idling pretty rough. I brought to my mechanic who said there were numerous problems with it, most of which should have been addressed during the inspection. I contacted Bethlehem Ford ASAP and they said to bring it in so they could "look at it". When I brought up another one of the inspection issues, a gasket blown out by the muffler, I was told it had "just a small exhaust leak" and they refused to address that problem. There is no gray area when it comes to exhaust systems in PA. If there is any leak it does not pass inspection, period. The only repair they attempted to address is the light issue. They ended up replacing a fan for my radiator which didnt fix anything. Now my engine gets extremely hot on top of the light and idle issue. Im afraid to drive it anywhere because with the engine getting so hot it will cause more things to break. I have this freshly "inspected" unusable vehicle sitting in my driveway just taking up space. Since its my only vehicle, I have to get a ride from someone else if I need to go anywhere. Which is making my life extremely difficult to say the least. The store owner said "they looked at it, thats all they promised to do" and will not return my phone calls. I am extremely unsatisfied with my experience at Bethlehem Ford. I strongly recommend never taking your vehicle into Bethlehem Ford for an inspection or service work of any kind.

We were looking at vehicles to purchase or lease this winter and stopped at Bethlehem Ford to take advantage of their offer to test drive vehicles we were interested in leasing/purchasing. Two days later we were leasing a Fusion Energi. Our Sales Agent, Mark was extremely helpful in answering our questions. Anything he could not immediately answer, he would check his resources and get back to us while we were in the Dealership. During the process of prioritizing our vehicles, he would ask questions of how and who would be using the car most. He informed us of the benefits of a plugin for commuting to work. While pricing the vehicles they came back with additional discounts that we were not aware of and when I brought a rebate from Ford Motor Co. they said they werent sure if that could be used in conjunction with their offers, but said they would enter the code and sure enough we had that discount as well. We wanted to have the car overnight before making a decision and we drove away with the Ford Fusion Energi for the night. While processing the forms for a lease the next day they came back with another discount to the total costs. For the first time we came in with our fair price in our head, they never heard it, and then they went to work on our needs and offered a great deal which exceeded our expectations. Haggling was not in the conversations. What a great experience from Mark to the Business Manager to service staff!

David Schrader was Great ! I had been ALL over looking for a car and the "RIGHT" person to deal with for my purchase, AND David was the one! I live in the Poconos, searched the Poconos, the Scranton area and finally the Lehigh Valley area, before finding David Schrader at Bethlehem Ford!! He was KIND, SINCERE and not a "pushy" salesman. He really cared about getting me the right car and doing his best for me. He made car buying a nice experience! I cannot say enough about David Schrader and the other staff at the dealership. I brought my puppy dog "Sadie" along with me while negotiating the purchase of my car. Sadie loved David too... Literally kissing him and all... Oh, by the way, I bought a new FOCUS with the WINTER PACKAGE- (heated seats & mirrors) one needs that in the Poconos. Linda

Mostly good work. BUT: Took my Explorer in for noisy wheel bearings, which they replaced. I then noticed (within 10 minutes of driving away) that there was a gradually worsening squeak coming from the left rear brakes. This continued to happen for weeks, during which time I brought my vehicle in multiple times. I finally gave up on them and brought my vehicle to a different shop, that found that the "brake hardware kit, rear" parts were not installed on that side. They installed them (at a cost to me of $75) which immediately fixed the problem. This is actually the second time I had major brake problems after they worked on them, the previous time left me with grooved rotors because the brake pads wore through prematurely due to something they did.

Ive always had great experiences with the service dept here. The last time I was there I paid to have the coolant flushed and the thermostat replaced. I watched them flush the coolant. They told me they replaced the thermostat. This last week the truck began trying to overheat again at idle. Being a Saturday I took it somewhere else that was open to have it checked out. They came back and said the thermostat needed to be replaced. I asked how that was possible since I had it replaced only months earlier at which time they looked at me and told me the truck still had the original thermostat in it. I paid to have it replaced. They told me it was replaced. It was apparently never replaced. I will speak to them on Monday and update this review appropriately.

I had my initial service appt. for a 16 F.Fusion a few mo. ago. Service was friendly, courteous, & timely . I appreciated not having any fees for this first visit. As a new car buyer I was pleased to receive a coupon for my 2nd visit & I used it comfortably. I had recd some courtesy service w/ purchase of a previous Ford & felt Bhem Ford needed to extend such a helpful "perc" again, to assist me w/ returning to Quick Lane. They did not. My thoughts included getting service elsewhere. Fortunately, Ford Corp. mailed me consideration via coupon. I need & appreciate the financial assist. Thanks, Martha

I went into this dealership thinking that I could come out with a fixed car... the mechanics here caused a problem in my car that I never had prior to walking in here. I come back and turn on my car to hear a loud sound coming from my engine that I never heard before. I asked the manager to check up on it for me, he acknowledged that something was wrong but refused to fix my car. They were extremely rude and condescending, they laughed at me while I tried to display my frustration. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to pay to have your car broken. Avoid at all cost.

I had the worse experience both times i had to bring my car in here for a recall. First, the receptionist failed to set up my appointment and no one called me about why my car was there. They had the key and a phone number and just let it sit there half a day until I called to check on it. Then, they claimed they dont have any loaner cars for me since they had my car for a day and a half and didnt even end up fixing it. Took it in a second time and had another terrible experience. I would not recommend this place to anybody!
