Well, I am so disappointed with this dealership, their sales tactics and the shoddy customer service at Sands. We went onto AutoTrader and found a nice used vehicle that would work for our family. Our family needed a vehicle with a third row and our preference was a mid-sized crossover (we already have a minivan and I want something good with gas for my commute). So we went to Sands with vehicle in mind. We went inside and asked the sales person about the vehicle, he acted confused and said he didnt even know about the vehicle but looked it up on the computer and saw it was there. He went back to get the keys so we could test drive and when he came out he said he wasnt sure that this was the right vehicle for us (mind you he hasnt even seen this car yet, supposedly) but rather he wanted to put us into a mercury mountaineer. We test drove both vehicles. He told us because they were both new trade ins and that they would need to be inspected but whichever one we wanted would go in that evening and that if one didnt pass their inspection we could have the other. We thought about it for a little and decided that the Subaru was what we were going to go with so we let him know. He told us that the Mountaineer was going to go in to the shop today but the Subaru would be inspect first thing tomorrow morning. Really? You have someone interested in a vehicle and you dont adjust the schedule to get that one in first like you said you would (plus it was only 2pm)? Whatever, so we went home and got the phone call the next morning the Subaru passed with flying colors. We went back in and started filling paperwork for financing, got it all done and waited...and waited...and waited. Such is life with auto-financing through the dealership, I get it. The finance guy comes out and says that because the car is so old (it was a 2006) we couldnt get a loan for it but that he had bunch of sedans he could get us financing for. Sure the price would be much higher but we could extend the financing term and our monthly payment would be the same as with this older more affordable Subaru. We said no thanks and left. So they made us take two trips out to their dealership to get invested with them. They advertised a vehicle on a website then all of the sudden when we got in their that vehicle wasnt available for financing but they had more expensive cars they could finance for us. No mention of the other car (the mountaineer) that we thought was in our budget. They saw our credit would allows us to spend more so they were going to wait us out. No thanks, Ill pass on the bait-and-switch. We went to a competitor and bought a vehicle that we wanted right after we left. Fast forward to today, we just got a letter from their finance department stating that they refused to give us a loan because of the our credit. Which is it Sands? Can I afford a more expensive car or is my credit so bad that you wont finance us? Your competitor gladly took our money. Or did you send that letter because of the pressure you got from my review on social media? My advice if you are looking for a vehicle (and I will advise anyone I ever hear talking about purchasing a vehicle) stay away from Sands, you can do without the bait-and-switch tactics and the mess of a finance dept. Plus I wouldnt trust a service dept that said a vehicle passed their inspection with flying colors was obviously in such "bad shape and so old" it couldnt get financing. Go down the road, there are better places.

Was not impressed with the service dept. here. I read the reviews before I took my Jeep back down here, but thought Id give them the benefit of the doubt and try, not to mention I felt that since I hadnt even had my Jeep a month they needed to make it right. I live over 2 hours from this dealership, Ive wasted my time, my gas, my boyfriends gas in his truck since I had to leave my Jeep there. I bought my 2010 Jeep there, right away the tire needed air it was down to 18, nearly flat, I said that will be taken care of before I take it, I was told yes. The defrosted on the passenger side didnt work so they also said theyd fix that. I bought it anyway and came down a few days later to pick it up, defrosted works, I was told no leak in the tire (little hard to believe consider it is still leaking) The second day after having it home, the check engine light comes on for knock sensor malfunction. I called and was told bring it back down, I didnt want to waste a trip so I took it to a dealership closer to home who said before anything else it needed a tune up and should have never rolled off the lot the way it was. Its a hemi motor, and all 16 spark plugs needed replaced. We took care of this ourselves and the light remind on. It shakes at 1500-2000 RPMs, finally I gave in and called again and made an appt. I dropped the Jeep off Tuesday night, was called Wednesday that it was done and they had replaced the PCM in it. I drove down picked it up on Saturday, not even an hour into the drive, they check engine light was back on. The horn doesnt beep when its locked, the auto wipers no longer work, it still shakes, and the knock code sensor is back on. They want to bring it back again, I will NOT go down there again. I do not trust the techs, I asked to speak with the manager of service, and they put someone else on who just kept saying to bring it back down. They do not look their cars over at all before selling, my Jeep had loose bolts, the engine cover wasnt on tight, the dipstick wasnt in, the air filter wasnt in correctly. I have nothing but headachs from this dealership. I was so frustrated!!! I finally found a dealership close to me to take it to, they fixed it up, needed 2 new knock sensors and new plugs. I was able to speak with the GM at Sands and after I got my Jeep back and sent Sands the invoice and they sent me a check to cover it. So after all the headache, they did make it right, I am happy about that, and my Jeep finally runs great.

I had bought a vehicle from Sands back in April of 2014. They were asking $18,900 with a 3 month/ 3,000 mile warranty, they would not budge on the price so I was hesitant but I fell in love with the truck so I financed it. I had asked for a carfax and they told me they only do autocheck. Their autocheck showed it was a clean title and never involved in any accidents. It took them 3 weeks for me to pick up the truck after I gave a deposit because they "didnt have the title yet". Once I picked it up they wouldnt fill up the gas tank only brought it to a half tank, on my way home with it the check engine light came on and since I live 2 hours away I asked if I can bring it to my local dealer and have them check it out but they refused to cover that so I paid out of pocket about $600 for a new throttle body. While it was at my local dealer they noticed that the truck had an open recall so i had them fix that as well. A little over 3 months later the motor went due to a broken timing chain tensioner. I had always heard a noise when it was cold but figured it was normal since it went away after 2 minutes. I had to sell my weekend car to pay for these damages which I am still VERY upset about! After the motor I noticed the truck sat a 1/4 inch lower on the passenger side so looking into it I find out that it was hit and the whole strut tower had to be rewelded! Luckily when the truck was cleaned out they never looked through the pages in the owners manual because the previous owner had left records and receipts in there with his info and phone number, along with the info to the body shop that had fixed the strut tower. So now I am out of alot of money, my dream car that I had to sell, and I am still stuck making payments! This is by far the worst experience ever and I would never reccomend anyone to this dealership. Their mechanics dont know how to inspect a vehicle properly and the salesman are horrible... About a year later I finally have the truck I was suppose to have after I had to rebuild it.
