We used to regularly donate and buy from here but then saw that they threw a LOT of very good stuff out in the dumpster. My daughter, who hates any kind of waste, was eager to retrieve what she could - for her own use or to take to another thrift store. But wouldnt you know, they practically police the dumpster and would come out and yell and threaten to call the police? They said it unsafe to take things from the dumpster and that they were liable. My son, who used to volunteer there told me about all the things they trashed (last straw was 50 lbs. of books), He offered to sell it for them on Ebay - and they come up with a lame reason why they didnt want to do that. Long and short of it is that people take the time, gas, and effort to donate things that in fact do have value, but because Jr. League has so much to sell and too little space (and too little consciousness about adding to landfill!), they take the easy route and throw perfectly good things away. They would rather throw things away then have others put them to good use.

The choices of clothing are a perfect ensemble of better-label, best quality and excellent condition. Pricing is very fair, with color-ticket mark downs and discounts daily. The donated and/or consigned furniture is absolute eye candy, and I immediately began to mentally refurbish my place - and could practically afford to do just that: the pricing for either items that one might be searching for, or the one (or two, or service for 8, 10, 12...) most vintage, antique or unusual find, is very very fair. I have spent my entire life of clothing (and most everything else) browsing, shopping, and purchasing, in thrift shops and flea markets. This place is in my top three. Ever.

Inexpensive second hand items including books, clothing, furniture, and other items. Super helpful cashier who enthusiasticly encouraged me to load up an entire bag of books for $10. Great end of season sales, clothes for $1.
