I use to work for the 2nd Ave at Franklin Mills. And when I say this was the worst place to work. I had to leave cause the way they treat people is so wrongly. Working there they will pay u nothing but have u working registers, maintenance, stocking and being there look out. They would get sneakers, shoes, pocketbook and if its something they want they will take for there self, without paying for it. I seen The assistant manager Katherine, Sandra and Mrs, D take items every nite or when The new Jordans come in they will take. Mrs, D would have her daughter and her daughter friend come back in the receiving area with big bags taken things. Lets say the color ight green, pink and yellow the morning of the sale they will change the colors to the colors thats not on sale, they would sale yall other brand for more then what the brand sale it for more when u can go to the store and get it brand new... when I say I heard customer come in everyday talking about how much they hate it now, how everything changed and how there managers have nasty attitude. I wouldnt shop there work there. I putting even put my dog in there to work. Very unfair employment and how unfair they are to the customer. They need a whole new team.

I love this place. Prices ARE great. I do have to say, the problem now in our days, people go thrift hunting. They seek out incredibly low priced but high valued merchandise to then resell for profit. So, if the thrift store is smart enough to catch a few good items to display is a glass case, then good for them. Rather than someone buying a pair of nice vintage Jordans worth 3-400 but priced at 10.00 only to flip the item on eBay, the thrift store can charge maybe 100-200 for those shoes so they gain more money for the charity or group they are supporting. If you find a pair of nice Jordan that cheap, than good for you for being able to hunt them out. But dont be mad when you come across those shoes and theyre priced at a legit fair price. Thats being angry about giving more money for a good cause. Also, look deeper. There are still many great finds in the cracks of the stores. You just have to look hard enough. Anyways! Yeah, great place. Great prices. The people ARE friendly and helpful there and if they cant speak great English theyll find someone who can. Great location. And great deals.

Ive visited this place on a few occasions, and I have to say definitely like shopping here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There are always sales going on every Sunday; 50% Off select items. The store itself is massive. The selection is very wide for men and women, obviously the womans selection is 3x bigger but the mens side is still surprisingly large. My only complain would be that the fitting room rules only allow five items inside at a time.. So my last visit here literally took about three hours, mainly because I had so much clothes in chart that I wanted to try on. That was just a horrible experience.. I cant even count on two fingers how many times I had to step out and then back in, to try on different items. I wanted to see how certain things fit, before leaving and not liking them once I got home. I would also suggest there be a mirror or two placed in the mens selection, maybe to limit the traffic in the fitting room area. But I mean, other than that the place is great. I would just try to limit the amount of items I purchase per visit, if I have to try anything on.

I have been shopping there almost everyday for quite awhile. Everything was good till I unfortunately bought a set of speakers that didnt turn out to be what I needed. They of course state that there are no returns but I thought they would be good with me beings I am in there everyday. But the same old line "I am sorry but see our receipt, it states no returns". So instead of trying to keep regular customers who spend consistently in their store they tell me no they cant. Yet it would be so simple for them to have taken them back and resell them. Some companies hurt themselves by not treating the regular customers right. The $20 these speakers were bought for is nothing compared to what I spend there every month. I ended up going out of the store and giving them to some woman coming in the store. At least I feel good giving them to someone who could use them and be happy with them. They didnt have the right outlets on the back for my roommates needs, being he is a musician. Thanks 2nd Avenue Value Store in Franklin Mills now (Philadelphia Mills). Its your loss.

I had a rough experience with the manager. I purchased 2 end tables that were marked 22.90 each. When I got to the check out, the cashier asked another employee if they should be charged as a set or individually. They both agreed it was a set. I paid, put them in car, and was about to leave when the manager knocked on my car window demanding my receipt. He had brought the cashier out with him and berated her right in front me. He demanded more money for the other end table, which I was fine paying, but the approach was uncomfortable. Its unacceptable for a manager to be that rude and domineering towards their employees, especially in front of customers. And quite odd to chase a customer out to be parking lot demanding more money for a completed purchase. Im sorry for everyone that needs to work for this man. How horrible.

I visit the store weekly and buy plenty from them. You can always find something good but their customer service sucks. Ive been coming to this store since it opened and have always wanted to ask the "Boss" as they call him if the workers are told not to be cordial to customers. In fact they get upset if you are in their way and they make sure you are aware of it. That doesnt stop me from going there as I get what I need but they do need some type of training in dealing with customers. They get upset if you ask to see something in the showcase 99% of the time. I used to go to the one in Kensington and the ladies there were better at customer service than the ones here at Franklin Mills. I believe they forget that we are the ones that keep their business alive.

Your sales team at the Franklin Mills store need to go in for training. your sales person ... Excuse me Host as it is on my receipt, Roneisha and, Pat the manager are extremely rude, when asked a question they are annoyed and sarcastic. in there response. I know this is a second hand store but the last time i checked i spent $35.39 I am able to shop anywhere i choose. But , I choose to travel to your store its a 25min. ride one way. not anymore maybe you should hire more friendly help. Or, risk loseing customers due to the negligence of your rude HOST!!!!! I know you probably dont care but this will be posted for other to see" BEWARE RUDE and IGNORANT EMPLOYEES " . Have a nice day:)
