Porque venden muy caro para ser una tienda de segunda mano, además ponen especiales 3 por 1 con un color de ticket específico y cuando uno busca las mercancías con esos ticket si aparece una es mucho y cuando encuentras un ticket con esa oferta el artículo no está en buenas condiciones, además hace mucho calor para verano no tienen una buena condición de aire hasta dejan las puertas abiertas para que entre aire y uno buscando mercancías con ese calor sofocante se desespera y no compra nada. La higiene en el baño no es buena y es un sólo baño para todos. Nadie se te acerca para decirte si necesitas ayuda, no hay nadie pendiente para darte la bienvenida, todos los empleados están enfocados en las cajas registradora y suplir mercancías en los tramos.

The managers there are extremely RUDE and very unprofessional. They seem to have gotten rid of their rude and/or personality-less employees as Ive seen new ones in training. Ive come to realize why they were so miserable.... Ive had to deal with the managers. The things that Ive personally had to deal with, and have heard while in there ,would have any other retailer in court. I also believe that the fact that that they force Christian music on us should be addressed. NOWHERE on the marquee does it say CHRISTIAN FAMILY THRIFT. I enjoy the idea of music but lets not forget to take into account that Not Everyone IS A CHRISTIAN!!!! Suggestion. A little more diversity in your selection or maybe just a soft music channel.

This used to be my favorite place to buy antique cameras for very good prices until today. I saw an old 35mm camera that I wanted on display. It didnt have a price tag. But rather than try to negotiate a price, I was told that "were not doing any pricing today". That was odd, considering every other shop Ive been to that deals with these can figure something out in less than a few minutes. I was then told to come back for New Years sale, but I cant come, cause I live 1 hour and 45 minutes away, and I was then told "too bad". That was my cue to leave. Im not sure if this was a policy or not, but one thing is for sure: if you have this "no price tag no sale" rule, then why even display the camera in the first place?

I went into American Family Thrift Shop today and was shocked and disappointed in the inflated prices. This used to be a favorite place. The prices have doubled and tripled! My niece and her friends would come from New York to get a variety of clothing items. Not now. I will no longer frequent or donate anything to this greedy establishment. Other folks feel the same way. What a shame is this economy they choose to charge more than K-Mart!

i also agree with the other reviews. i went to two other american family thrift stores and i couldnt believe the prices and the radio was loud. i heard serveral other customers were saying the same things. i left with nothing and there was serveral things i would have liked to get but a few dollars more and i could buy new.its a really a shame since all the stuff was given freely to them!

Horrible experience!! Tried to buy a blanket and the manager rudely and unapologetically refused to sell it to me because "the tag was not properly attached" never will I shop there or make a donation after the way I was treated for trying to make a purchase!!

Bill is very obnoxious and rude and very incompetent to do his job...how he still is employed is beyond me his customer service is poor. I can find trash on the upper east of Manhattan better than what they have in that store.

Good sales but hard to find color tag thats on sale. This place changes tags colors, beware. Dirty and messy place. Sell mostly junk and items that should be thrown out.

Very large thrift store. Mostly clothes that are in good shape. The housewares section is small and contains a lot of junk. Theres a nice selection of womans handbags.
