I can not express how upset I am about my experience at Larog. Myself, my future sister in law, and my mother were shopping around different jewelers in the area. I was looking for an engagement ring and my sister in law was looking for a wedding band. We were beeped into Larog (for security purposes you have to be buzzed in) and started looking at their selection. I was extremely impressed with the variety and quality of rings. We made a round around the cases and decided what we wanted to try on. At this point it had been 10 minutes and no one had acknowledged us: no hello, no we will be right with you, no nothing. We made a second round around the counters showing each other what we wanted to try on. Still no one said anything. I tried making eye contact with multiple sales associates walking by, they wouldnt even look at me. I stood over by the main counter that I had seen multiple people walking back and forth between to try and get someones attention. A gentlemen walked in the door, and a sales associate walked directly passed me and asked "how can I help you sir?" I was dumbfounded, and at this point my mother went up to ask if someone could help us. When another gentlemen walked out to help the customer who just walked in, my mother politely said, "excuse me could anyone help us next?" To which the sales associate replied, "I need to help him and then someone else will be right with you." My mother calmly explained the fact that he had just walked in and we had been waiting for 20 minutes. He then said rudely, "we will do our best to run around the entire store to everyone, but we are busy." I then across the store told him that it was not necessary for them to run around, that just someone acknowledging us would be nice. At this point everyone in the store was looking at us. He proceeded to tell the gentlemen that he could not help him because he had to help us first, as we were demanding attention (exact words). At this point it was over. I let him know that it would be unnecessary, as we would take our business elsewhere. There were plenty of rings we wanted to try on, and I good likelihood we would have bought both our rings from their store given their selection. If you had heard the way he had spoken to my mother, there is no way you would have spent another minute inside that store. The sales associate who I did not catch his name but had gray hair and an accent not only embarrassed himself but the business he works for. There were 3 sales associates helping 3 men buying charms for a charm bracelet. There were also numerous amounts of other sales associates that continually walked passed us. I will never go back to Larog, nor will anyone else I speak to in the Portland area. They not only lost out on immediate sale of $10,000 just for myself, but my sister in laws ring purchase and any of my many friends in the area. We have been to at least 5 stores in the area, and this is the last place I would go to when shopping for jewelry in the Tigard area.

I am not one to write negative reviews, but this experience resonated with me. The displeasure began immediately when I walked into the store. There were two employees at the back counter and no other customers in the store, but for some reason I was just looked at, not greeted, then ignored. I walked to the back and indicated I had some gold I would like to sell, and I was then told to go have a seat and that it would be a couple of minutes. Surprising, since I was the only one in a store with at least two employees, but I waited. When the woman came over, I was told my necklace probably wouldnt meet their minimum weight requirement (which I had no knowledge of, as it has never been in the ads), that they would not pay me for the small diamond in the necklace nor would they remove it, and that the work they would have to put into it would hardly be worth it. Awkward. The salesperson weighed the necklace, told me it did not meet the weight requirement, but offered me $30 anyway (which came in the form of a check, not cash as indicated by the sign in the driveway). This surprised me, as a different jeweler offered me over $50 about a month ago, but I decided to just take the money and be done with the necklace. I could tell the woman was annoyed that I accepted the offer and by "all the paperwork" she had to do, which amounted to filling out one form on the computer, asking me three questions, and getting my signature. I even received a blow-off response when I inquired about switching the stone in my wedding ring with a larger one. I could tell she just wanted me gone and at that point I too wanted to get out of there. I am a very polite and friendly person, and acted this way throughout the entire visit. However, I was not taken seriously and was treated not only like an inconvience, but also rather rudely. And now I am doubting the fairness of the gold price. My husband and I have done business with LaRog twice in the past, purchasing jewelry and not selling gold, but after this experience I dont see why we would return.

I came into La Rog devastated over my engagement ring from another company that had broken twice within 6 months. I was hesitant to get a ring with ANY stones so I did not have a repeat. Leslie was understanding. She explained the different kinds of metals, quality of stones and settings. She was patient with me as I tried on multiple rings. I asked questions on repairs, their warranty and where the rings came from. Leslies customer service was outstanding! I never felt any pressure to buy. Her professional, knowledgeable and fun personality made me feel at ease. I left after my first visit with so much knowledge on rings. In the end, my heart wanted a sapphire ring...forever my dream ring. I now have on my finger a gorgeous sapphire and diamond ring. Leslie had several sapphires brought in for me to choose from. She helped me find the perfect setting. Thank you Leslie and La Rog for helping me get a gorgeous ring!

I was referred to Larog by multiple friends who had great experiences with this company. The first time I visited, I instantly knew why. I was greeted by a friendly lady named Linda, who took personal interest in my story and who I am. Knowing nothing whatsoever about diamonds, I was so comforted by the amount of time she spent explaining all the aspects of buying a diamond to me. She spent the time and allowed me to look at all my options under a microscope, and after I had decided, the next few follow up conversations over the phone were just as pleasant. A couple months later I found myself in a tricky situation, and the entire staff, management, and even the owner went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for my big day. Dont even bother going elsewhere. Seriously, this is what customer focus looks like. I am beyond happy with my choice!

My wife had been looking around to have her wedding ring redesigned and was frustrated with trying to deal with other jewelers. Then she read the reviews at LaRogs so we went there and spoke with Sandra, she was so nice and comforting and explained in detail the entire process. The price was more than fair compared to what we had been quoted at other jewelers and the time line was at least half the time. Sandra went on vacation during part of the design process but had Jeremy fill in for her... He also did an amazing job! When it was all done and said I picked up the ring and when she opened it up was so happy her exact words were it was better than she ever thought and was "1000% satisfied" Thank you Sandra and Jeremy for everything, we will be a LaRog customer for life and will recommend you always
