I go to this Wilco all the time and this year I wanted to purchase ducks so in January I went into the store and talked to the guy that orders all of the birds. He informed me that he would be getting 10 unsexed Runner ducks in on Wednesday March 8th, 10 female Blue Swedish on March 15th and 10 chocolate female Runners on March 22nd. We decided we would buy 2 each week so on March 8th I called at opening and found out the ducks arrived at 10am so I arrived to the store at 950am and purchased my 2 ducks. It was all good untill the 15th when I arrived again 10 minutes early to purchase my Blue Swedish and to my frustration found that 10 of the 12 were reserved. So I asked for the other 2 and was told that they were taken as well...I pointed out the obvious that there were 2 not reserved and was told that all the ducks were taken.....I expressed my frustration that I had been in the store months before and had not been informed that reservations were being taken. They informed me that the reason there were 2 in the batch that werent written down is because someone reserved the minimum 5 but "decided" at the last minute she only wanted 3....So I asked if I could put my name in on the Runner ducks coming in the next week to be told that they were all reserved as well....I feel that the system of reserving animals at Wilco is broken and frustrating. I was not informed months before that this was possible. And you have to reserve a minimum of 5 making having a few back yard birds not possible. Wilco you need to require full payment at time of reservation with a reservation fee and no refunds if people back out...and put up a disclaimer that all ducks get reserved making it impossible for non farmers to enjoy having back yard birds...

I dont like playing games with retailers. I understand I am not the typical customer - I am the type of guy who stays home on Black Friday. But I am a regular customer of Wilco with a customer rewards number etc. so they mail me their fliers, which I usually throw in the trash. But this time I noticed that metal watering cans were on sale and I need one. So, I made a special trip down just to buy one. I was informed at the cash register that the sale does not start until Tuesday. If I wanted to make another trip down on Tuesday they would sell me the can for $5 less, but today I had to pay full price. I use to have my own business and would sometimes put coupons in the paper. Occasionally a customer would show up with an expired coupon and I always honored it. I understood the entire purpose of advertising in the first place is to find and keep happy customers, not to play nickel and dime games over sale dates and coupon expiration dates. To make my long story a little shorter, I stopped at ACE Hardware on my way home and purchased a better watering can for $2 less than the sale price Wilco wanted me to come back on Tuesday for. Wilcos loss - especially because I will stop at Ace first the next time I need something!

Im disappointed in the lack of follow through in customer service on leaving my wallet at your store. I called to check and see if it had been left at the front register within 20 minutes of leaving. The cashier stated she would call me back if you found it. Really! Its my wallet. I suggested that they look for it and call me back either way. She assured me that they would. So I got back in my car and drove down to your store. I walked up to the register and simply asked Jenna if you had found my wallet. She looked at another Jenna and ask the question who gave an excuse about being busy or something. The first Jenna opened and unlocked drawer and there lo and behold was my wallet sitting in the back right corner of the drawer. If this was your wallet with debit cards and credit cards and drivers license and health insurance and everything else personal in your life would you not be looking for it right away? Ridiculous. I have already spent a lot of money in your store. Im not sure Im coming back. Sincerely Rick Maurmann

I had the occasion to meet and be assisted by Lynsey Mansfield today at the South Salem Store regarding a return of a birthday gift with no receipt available. I needed to simply select a smaller size and Lynsey patiently offered her assistance. I immediately understood why she holds the position she has with Wilco Farm Store. She greeted me with a smile and I left the store feeling very satisfied and valued as a regular returning customer. I sensed the other employees around her held a high degree of respect for her customer service skills displayed. Best regards, Jack Rogers - Salem

I liked the Silverton store but now will love the Salem store since its closer to home and work. I love the big variety and shoppable aisles. And the helpfulness of most of the workers that Im sure will rub off on the new workers to retail who need to get to know the merchandise.....just takes time. Big bright beautiful store! I had some questions about chickens and feed and bedding and got some great answers and suggestions. Also the ladies in the grooming department were most friendly and helpful as well as the loading dock crew.

I love the grooming department. Tammy has groomed my Lhasas for years and I have never complained. She greets you with a smile iand makes me feel like furry buddy is special (Im sure all are special to her) Wilcos prices are a bit higher than most groomers but luckily for Wilco I cant go anywhere else because Tammy is the only groomer I want. Shes the best! Anyone wondering if its worth it should do it, I know my Chawlie deserves the best and Tammy at Wilco South is the best!

I have always enjoyed Wilco stores. My previous pet groomer is now at this stores pet grooming center. Tammy has always been wonderful with my dog. So glad I could follow her there.

Its a combination of a feed store, pet store, work n wear and an ace hardware. The service is always good but this place can be expensive.

Customer service is average. Unless you have a coupon its full retail. Wide selection of goods and near by location.
