I ordered a dishwasher and a microwave, paid for the install and haul away. They came a week later and drilled a bunch of holes in my wall for the over the range microwave. Then they find out the holes on the microwave dont fit. They take both microwaves and leave me with a hole where my microwave was. Then I get a call saying that it will be another week before they can bring another microwave! I say Im having a reception at my house and I need another microwave sooner. They say theres nothing they can do and just deal with it. I say I want a refund and my old microwave back. No can do, once theyve hauled it away it cant come back. The next day the dishwasher starts leaking. I say come get your stuff Im done dealing with you, microwave or no Im getting a refund and buying new appliances elsewhere. They say theyll be there in a week. I say that I wont be there as Ill be on my honeymoon and I can do it in nine days. They say ok. I go on my honeymoon and lo and behold, I get a call on the seventh day asking why Im not home. I explained that Id already spoken to someone and the installer yelled at me that he didnt have anything like that in his work order and then hung up. Now Im 21 days into this ordeal, Ive got a dishwasher I dont want, I have to replace the supports in my kitchen before I can hang the microwave I bought elsewhere, I still have no refund from Home Depot, and no one will return my calls. Worst experience ever.

Edit: I have now been shopping here for over a year. Im not sure if management has changed or what, but I feel like service has gone down the drain. The last two times I have been in it took well over half an hour to get assistance. The first time, the employee came to the aisle with me, said he would be right back, proceeded to help two other people who arrived after me, and ended up never acknowledging me again. The second time I just needed a key cut. I was told someone would be right over. 30 minutes later, after two "let me find someone four you" interactions, the guy showed up. I got home only to find out the key was incorrect. I will probably be heading next door to Lowes in the future. Previous Review: Big box or not I love this place. Every employee I have encountered has been friendly and more than helpful. Fair prices and great selection. 4 stars because I usually have to circle the store a couple times trying to find someone to help me.

I was disappointed twice today. I looked on line to see if the Sherwood store had the corrugated metal i needed. On line it said they had 28 sheets of 26 inches by 12ft. We got to the store and there wasnt any 12s in the rack. We asked 2 younger staff if they could find 6 sheets for us. He checked his handheld computer and said it showed they have 70. The 2 said they were going to see if the could find them. We waited about 10 minutes and another guys comes and asks if we needed help. Told him the story and he said I go see if I can find them. He came back shortly and said they couldnt find any. He looked on line and the Hillsboro store had 90 in stock. We drove to the Hillsboro store and the same thing happened. Nothing in the rack and they didnt know where the 90 were. We called Lowes next door and the had plenty in the rack. So we spent our money there.

The WORST!! We picked out the dishwasher we wanted on our own because no one would help us. We went to the 2 employees in the appliance department and both waved us off. We went to the register to purchase it and were told that we could not. Wait, what?? She called a manager who thought it over and then called someone on the phone. Finally they said we had to order it at the Service counter. The guy there asked what we wanted and nodded when we told him. Then he continued to print information about the windows he was working on. Finally the SIXTH person we approached tried to help us but demanded our home address to purchase it and tacked on an additional $30 accessory package and told us of the $59 fee to deliver it to the store. Ridiculous! We walked out and will not be back.

We just got back from a late night trip to the Home Depot Minter Bridge store. Despite getting there a full hour before closing, we couldn’t get down half of the isles that were cluttered with material being re-stocked. Help was hard to find, and when you did get someone it was clear that we were not a priority. When it was time to check out the only lane open was self serve, backed up by many other people wanting to pay. There was an employee there but she seemed more interested in not damaging her nail polish than anything else. No help loading. No one asked. It makes me angry to pay money to a store where indifference best describes the situation. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

The entire location both the home depot and Lowes I do not nor have I ever looked at it being a competition for business, as I am trying to say I look at it as being one of the largest hardware departments that the country has to offer, many a time have come to locate some freaking part for some damn broken thing, and I am always assured that if the depot doesnt have it then Lowes will and if neither do then I dont need it, I am not running all over creation, which is nice for me and is shopping at LOWESTHEHOMEDEPOT hardware mall an experience and funny, you bet your bottom buck and you will leave a winner! Love them both two different companies working side by side for the good of all. Thank you!

They did not have a set of washer/dryer that I wanted, so they ordered online and scheduled a store pick up. After one day of receiving the appliances, I wanted to return the appliances in un-used condition, they did not accept it. They said you cant return appliances. I know you cant return paint but appliances? Really? Not even a store credit or restocking fees. Flat out no return. The only reason I buy stuffs in store is the convenience of returning and better customer service. I no longer find this to be true at Home Depot, at least the one in Hillsboro, Oregon. I shopped at many Home Depot locations, this is by far the worst in customer service.

With any big store some employees will be more helpful with others, but we had a great customer service experience. My wife went to pick up a piece of plywood she needed for a project, and they said they would tie it down for her on the roof. When she was driving home the twine they used tore and the plywood flew off. She then came home and told me then called home depot back to speak to the guy that helped her and tied it on for her. They cut her a new piece of plywood and gave her a free set of the nice strap tie downs since the twine ripped the last time. Its great to know they went out of there way to try to find a solution for her.
