"What do you expect, its a used car" How true. I paid this vehicle off after unfortunate hassle and will never be back to Roberson. Purposefully deciding to purchase a used Jeep at a supposedly reputable Jeep dealership I expected the dealership to at minimum do what they said they did. I never expect a used 20 year old vehicle to run like a newer one. Purchasing a used vehicle means you will have to do repairs yourself, which I am fine with. However, Im writing this review to give others an idea of the type of Jeep Roberson sold me when their service department is said to have done upkeep and repairs on the Jeep. The service department clearly did zero work on the brakes of this Jeep despite the noting on the CarFax report (which are notoriously unreliable and unclear due to things like this) that they recently did a brake inspection. If that brake inspection happened, they would know that the rear brake shoe on the drivers side had a large piece completely cracked off. Finding something like that on an inspection, I would expect a reputable service department to at least replace before selling. The catalytic converter was busted and needed to be replaced. It is illegal to not have a proper working exhaust system. I had asked if the Jeep would pass emissions, and now I know that the sales woman named Molly either had no knowledge about this or straight lied to me, but decided to assure me yes it would pass emissions and tags were good until next August. Part of that was true. Classic car salesman I suppose. I asked if they could fix the oil pressure gauge for me and the male in the front office Molly asked said I was already getting a "good deal" on the Jeep so they wouldnt do it. It looked as if some overzealous cleaning under the hood broke the sending unit off, I will never know for sure though how the sending unit was broken and why it was too hard for them to fix before selling. If only they had done more than just clean/detail the Jeep. Immediate major repairs needed were the rear wheel bearings, brakes, and catalytic converter. Other than those, the myriad of little things were mostly expected. The dealership did reimburse me with a check for parts, which was the very least they could do. After not calling me or my wife back, and then talking to both my brother and my dad, they at least sent a reimbursement check and I do appreciate that. Thankfully my brother and dad helped me out while I was in and out of cell service and got the reimbursement check for me during an already stressful time. Having to leave the Jeep behind for repairs when I had wanted to take it with me when I had family business out of state was extremely inconvenient and disappointing. Selling a used Jeep at a Jeep dealership with bad rear bearings, a busted catalytic converter, and a completely broken brake shoe just doesnt seem right to me (or to the mechanics I have taken it to). I have the original printed CarFax and screenshots from the internet, photos, documents from two separate mechanics, along with receipts for repairs and parts. So thats that. I appreciate the reimbursement parts check, but I will not be returning.

Buyers Beware! I have had an ongoing, HORRIBLE experience with this dealership. Brian Roberson has failed in every attempt to make things right, and has had ample opportunity to do so. I purchased a vehicle from Roberson with the good faith that I was buying from an ethical, long standing Salem area business that would have its customers best interest at heart. I was wrong. The day after I purchased the vehicle, I noticed oil leaking under the vehicle I knew there must be a problem. Upon further inspection, I noticed other significant defects with the vehicle. I presented the vehicle to Roberson for them to have an opportunity to diagnose the issues. After having the vehicle for nearly a week they informed me that "it was only leaking from the oil pan, and our mechanic said- if it was his vehicle he would just drive it as it was." Also, "we sold it to you AS IS". I didnt appreciate the way they treated me so I took the vehicle to a local Ford store for further inspection, as I did not trust their diagnosis. Thats when the fun began. The vehicle had MANY major deficiencies and the statement from Roberson that it was just leaking from the oil pan was an OUTRIGHT LIE. I took the report of the defects, some of which were UNSAFE BRAKES, AXLE SEALS LEAKING and a UNSAFE condition with the STEERING gear, to Brian. I explained to him that I didnt think any reasonable consumer would believe that they had done an adequate inspection of this vehicle before presenting it for sale. He agreed. He said he would "See what he could do". After NOT HEARING FROM HIM for a week, I left a negative review on another site detailing my experience. My phone was ringing almost immediately. Brian was apologetic and said he would get back to me soon. Brian got back to me and stated they were not willing to make any repairs to the truck- but that they would buy it back from me for what I paid for it. A condition of his offer was that I would have to wait until they received the title to the vehicle before I would be refunded my $3000 down payment. I accepted his offer and asked him if he knew how long that process may take, he stated to me that it should only be "2 or 3 days". I have now been waiting for one month and no response from Roberson on the whereabouts of my money. I think it is completely unreasonable for Roberson to hold me hostage for this length of time after I already surrendered the vehicle to them on 4/12/2015. Bottom Line? Roberson does not follow through on promises made to its buyers, nor do they have any integrity whatsoever when it comes to service after the sale. Even though they claim to not have any title for the vehicle, and I DONT HAVE MY MONEY it is OFFERED FOR SALE on their website!!! Come on Brian and Roberson Motors!!!! Get with the program!!!

This was our third year in a row buying a car from Roberson Motors. +Chuck Tompkins, our sales consultant has been, all 3 years, an awesome asset to our family. We are very pleased with our 2015 Jeep Renegade. Chuck was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the lineup that would best suit our needs. At 68" tall and over 300 lbs, its not easy finding a vehicle I would be comfortable in. At first I was skeptical about the Renegade being "big enough" for my frame, but I am blown away by the interior space and comfort! The ability to "remote start" my new Renegade and not needing to even press the button on my keyless remote to open the door and enter was a definite plus, along with push button keyless engine starting within the cabin, then all the many other features like Reverse Camera, Bluetooth for my phone that helps with my entrepreneur lifestyle, a free 1 year subscription to Sat. radio and countless other comforts and features was phenomenal. The rebates was also a huge asset for us. Our second year in a row to get one, which saved us big bucks. But how does it drive? Many reviews claim slow slow slow but that was far from the truth. It had plenty of pep to get up to speed quickly when merging onto the freeway and overtake on a pass. Also amazing was the sports car like grip and stability. It really hugged corners well with absolutely no sway at all I could notice. Sturdy and robust. The steering wheel is equipt with everything I need to control my travel comforts, which was very nice! What cinched the deal was the "duel climate control". OMG! Just what we needed. My wife and I are constantly at odds with climate, both at home and on the road. We can never reach an agreeable "perfect" temperature - until now! And heated seats and steering wheel too. Wow! Chuck was, and has been, these last 3 years, a Godsend. Our very own good luck Chuck! :-) I am genuinely please to recommend everyone at Roberson Motors, from the sales team who always treated us well, to the financing team who explained everything in detail and didnt pull any punches, to the mechanics who took care of us the last three years, ensuring we stayed mobile and safe. You can count on them as a whole to be there for you when it comes to your mobility! Thank you Chuck and the entire Roberson Motors team for your awesome service and support for our family.
